Welcome to Imythess, the border between dreams and reality. We hope you enjoy your visit.

Imythess is a creative writing board where you narrate the story of a character in the medieval land of Imythess, on the planet Chaon. Each topic is an opportunity for your character to interact with the world and its peoples by cooperatively writing pieces of a story with other members, one post at a time. We call this role-playing, because you assume the identity of your character as if it were your own.

In order to play, you must register an account for each character you would like to write about, and begin their tale by filling out their basic profile information: Race (human, elf, demon, etc.), class (warrior, mage, etc.), physical appearance, and any other personal details you would like to describe. You are also encouraged to come up with some background history information for what your character's life has been like up to the point at which their story in Imythess begins.

There is no approval process or application required to join, so long as you follow the rules then you are free to write whatever character details you choose. Registration is simple, fast, and completely free.

They must have been carried out of her castle’s kitchen and into the dungeon by gribblies! The adventurers who brave the perils of the dungeon to help her collect the missing ingredients will be greatly rewarded. The cake recipe calls for the following missing ingredients: Potent Holy Water. An empty shell of a wyvern egg. A Peculiarly Piquant Purple Toadstool. A jar of hard candies that are flavored after the most exotic Imythessian fruits. The dangers of the castle’s dungeon are many, but some highlights include: A labyrinth-like layout that can get you very lost very quickly. Shifting corridors and rooms that don’t stay in place, helping you get even more lost. Gribblies (explained in the link posted in the next paragraph), ghosts and other monsters lurking at each turn. Dark, damp, drafty, and covered in spiderwebs, the dungeon is very uncomfortable and easily stirs fear in the hearts of the timid. The dungeon is not all despair! You can look here* for a list of some of Loth’s familiars that wander the dungeons to help those unfortunate enough to pass through.* This event is an RP challenge. To participate, you should start a topic in The Witch Queen’s Haunted Castle. All you are required to write is one post of enough length for your character to venture around the dungeon collecting the ingredients. Each ingredient should be somewhat of a challenge to acquire, but it is up to your imagination to make the tasks interesting and/or entertaining. You can do this challenge alone or with other RPers, but it is recommended that you do it alone because it will take much less time. You are allowed to do this as a type of “gag” RP if you so desire, meaning that it doesn’t have to be a serious RP that actually affects your character’s real storyline. This also means that your character doesn’t have to stick to their usual persona if it wouldn’t normally make sense for them to complete this quest. Feel free to make it light-hearted and comical if you want. If you are participating, please post here to let us know. When you make your RP post, please also post a link to it in this topic. You have 2 weeks to complete the RP, good luck! Rewards 70 Gold, a Birthday Card and a Monster’s Bane Bangle (descriptions below). Birthday Card Description: This card entitles you to a one-time-only extra 100 gold on your next birthday! Monster’s Bane Bangle Description: This ademantium wrist brace will ward off any small monsters/creatures that catch sight of it.

I would assume from these statements that if you're planning to go solo you only post once, but if you're going with partners you post as many times as required. As always the no double-posting rule is in effect, as it doesn't say otherwise? That's just what I got from it, though.

You can technically write it in chunks by editing the post over time, though it would make more sense to put it together in a text editing program like Word and copy+paste when it is finished.

(Taking on two dragons... yikes! XD ) You have free reign over my familiars and any other critters you think up. You don't have to worry about my dragons, they are way too big to fit indoors, so they live outside and not in the dungeon. You can include the baby dragons though, they would behave as friendly allies. The answers Mathias and Sargoth gave about post quantity are correct.
