| Welcome to Imythess, the border between dreams and reality. We hope you enjoy your visit. Imythess is a creative writing board where you narrate the story of a character in the medieval land of Imythess, on the planet Chaon. Each topic is an opportunity for your character to interact with the world and its peoples by cooperatively writing pieces of a story with other members, one post at a time. We call this role-playing, because you assume the identity of your character as if it were your own. In order to play, you must register an account for each character you would like to write about, and begin their tale by filling out their basic profile information: Race (human, elf, demon, etc.), class (warrior, mage, etc.), physical appearance, and any other personal details you would like to describe. You are also encouraged to come up with some background history information for what your character's life has been like up to the point at which their story in Imythess begins. There is no approval process or application required to join, so long as you follow the rules then you are free to write whatever character details you choose. Registration is simple, fast, and completely free. Create a character now! If you're already a member, you can log into your account below: |

"I am the white light at the end of the dark tunnel." A white figure stood on top of a house, bent down he watched the ground underneath, awaiting for some unfortunate soul to go underneath his gaze, like a hawk awaiting a mouse. "I am the reason, I am death and i am the one and onl-" The figure fell over, landing on a large pile of leaves. "Owwwwwy!" The small boy stood up and rubbed the back of his head, he must have landed on a small rock hidden in the leaves or, something. It didn't matter, all that mattered to him right now was that his head hurt! He looked around, there was almost no one around at this time of night. And almost all the lights in every house had been snuffed out for the night, everyone was sleeping it would appear. Kid smiled, the pain on the back of his head already forgotten, he now smiled happily as he began to walk, the hood on his cloak still up covering his face. This was the good thing about not having any parents, he could stay up as long as he wanted, and play all night if he wanted to. The longer he walked the better he felt, until the bump on his head now seemed almost completely non existent, for a while he thought he saw a few figures, and hid from the behind a small house until they passed, then he continued walking, and then he began to get tired, and with a sigh sat down in the dirt in the middle of the road, his stomach growled and he whined "I'm hungwy...." |

Ah, night time. How wonderful it was. No bustling of the marketplace; no innocent people out doing whatever it was these innocent people these days; no sounds of birds. It truly was the epitome of peace. And peace was something which Lancer enjoyed. He hadn't been in Kellen very long, but the blue clad superhero-esque man had already drawn enough attention to himself; not only from the average ones in the Village, but also darker figures who had even gone so far as to threaten the man; even whilst he had the large demonic spear gripped firmly in his hand (he had it wrapped in a cloth to nullify the ground killing effects). However, these mere 'obstacles' were easy to dispatch; the side of the metal staff was very useful for knocking out those who the man didn't wish to kill. The night was young and Lancer had yet to find a place where he could bed down; he had tried a couple of places, but had been refused simply because of the large weapon he was carrying with him. So, as usual, the man had been left on his own, in foreign territory... This time it was at night time though; so at least that was something new! “Heh, I swear my luck is about as good as a Demon's... But then I bet they're lucky all the same.” He smirked to himself, as looked up at the star filled night; nature was beautiful. Though, it would have been better to have been looking up at the stars through a window in a comfy room. The only bad thing about travelling... Was travelling rough. His immersion in thoughts of comfy rooms and stars was disrupted as he heard a thud from an area adjacent to him, followed by the voice of what appeared to be a child. Letting out a small sigh, Lancer turned and once loosening up his shoulders by slowly rotating them, he walked over into the area where he had heard the initial sound. It was empty. There was a small dip in a bunch of leaves where it had been apparent something, or someone had fallen into from a height, most likely the building looming over it, but other than that, Lancer had no idea what had happened. “Heh... This is 'Goblin' size. I wonder...” The man trailed off for a second. “Worth a shot, I guess.” After about five minutes of... Nothing, Lancer was just about ready to give up on his ''Goblin''. But when he finally walked back out onto the main road of the area, he laid eyes on what he believed to be what he had been searching for. Before him sat a humanoid figure; it was the size of a child, yet it was dressed in some sort of robe, and had it's head covered over, so that it wasn't visible from behind. “Jackpot...” The man muttered under his breath, slowly making his way over to the creature sitting on the floor. He tried to be as quiet as he could, but this 'Goblin' probably wouldn't have been able to hear him... Goblins were stupid, after all. Once about five foot away from the 'Goblin', Lancer aimed to prod the boy in the back with the bottom of his spear. Because it was bladed, he did it softer than he normally would, just to get the creature's attention. “Bit far from the tunnels aren't we?” |
