Imythess is a creative writing board where you narrate the story of a character in the medieval land of Imythess, on the planet Chaon. Each topic is an opportunity for your character to interact with the world and its peoples by cooperatively writing pieces of a story with other members, one post at a time. We call this role-playing, because you assume the identity of your character as if it were your own. In order to play, you must register an account for each character you would like to write about, and begin their tale by filling out their basic profile information: Race (human, elf, demon, etc.), class (warrior, mage, etc.), physical appearance, and any other personal details you would like to describe. You are also encouraged to come up with some background history information for what your character's life has been like up to the point at which their story in Imythess begins. There is no approval process or application required to join, so long as you follow the rules then you are free to write whatever character details you choose. Silence filled the air around the field where Kane slept. Kane had been sent from the heavens to help protect the city of Taras but when he landed in Imythess the impact knocked him into a coma. He has laid here for many, many years unconscious. Kane,......Kane it's time to wake up.....Come on Kane get up... Kane slowly opened his eyes and sat up. Where..where am I? Kane stood up and stretched out his wings when he looked at them he noticed they had lost their once white color and were now black, deep black. How long he thought how long have I laid here that my wings have turned to black? Off in the distance he noticed something or rather someone approaching him. |

He smiled a devious smile, one that he wore so well. He had found his brother, after all these years. Angels always looked the same age after maturity, and it seems he had grown to that state while in the coma he had been in. Tynan had played it so well; while his brother was being sent from Heaven above, Tynan had unleashed a powerful blow upon the back of Kane's head. Thus, a coma he was in, and now was finally awakening from. Kane's wings were now black, and it seemed that the sin in this world had altered their color from being here so long without being within the kingdom of Heaven. Now, with his brother awake, it seemed it was time for Tynan to spin his dark webs of influence into his brother, or kill him on the spot if he knew what had happened. Kane,......Kane it's time to wake up.....Come on Kane get up... he said from afar, loud enough he would hear, but it wasn't shouting. Kane slowly raised up and looked around. He looked confused, which boded well for Tynan. He flew over to Kane as he seemed to notice Tynan standing there, underneath the twisted tree that stood by itself in the large field. Brother, you have been asleep for so long...So long indeed. Come with me, and I'll show you what you have missed out on all these years, he said to him, gripping his scythe in his right hand tightly, prepared in case he needed to use it against his brother. Hopefully his brother didn't remember too much, and then, well, then he could corrupt him. Yes, that would be a, how should I say, a delectable outcome, he thought, with evil glee in his eyes, that wouldn't be noticed as such until it was too late. After all, a fallen angel that just happens to be the reaper of souls was an opponent only the bravest, or rather dumbest, warriors ever sought to face. |

A smile grin came across Kane's face as he looked over at his brother. Brother....Tynan what...what has happened am I too l-late?{/color] Kane stammered on..{color=red] Brother you must explain wha-what has happened and why my wings are blackened. Kane moved toward his brother hoping for an explanation but wasn't sure what he would receive. Edited by Kane, Sat Jul 31, 2010 1:35 am.

Ah, brother. You have been asleep for a long, long time. About thirty years, to be exact. Your body fully matured in that time, so you no longer appear to age. As for your question about your wings, well, the sin of this world has... polluted them, turning them black, like the sin that stains the mortals of this world. Tynan answered his brother, glad his didn't know that he had hit him. Not that he cared, just would a bit annoying to have to deal with that detail. Come, walk with me my brother, and I will tell you the things that have come to pass... Now to plant the seed of corruption, Tynan thought, with a sinister glee, evident in his deep, dark blue eyes. |

As Kane looked into his brothers deep blue eyes with hope of finding out what had happened to the world and to himself. As he took a step towards his brother he tried to remember the last time he had seen his brother, what he had been like before the accident but nothing came to mind. Tynan, I'm ready to learn what has happened. Kane mustered up the confidence to tell his brother and with these words their journey as brother began anew. |

Brother, the story I have fo you isn't good at all. We were forsaken, forgotten, given up on, just as the mortals that fought here so long ago were. We were betrayed. Tynan told his brother as he patted his back. So, I have taken a vow of vengence; a crusade, if you will, against our traitor. Lucifer tried to stop him, but, was thrown from heaven, just as you were. You only thought you were being sent. Tynan turned to his brother, and looked him deep in the eyes, saying Join me, brother. |
