| Welcome to Imythess, the border between dreams and reality. We hope you enjoy your visit. Imythess is a creative writing board where you narrate the story of a character in the medieval land of Imythess, on the planet Chaon. Each topic is an opportunity for your character to interact with the world and its peoples by cooperatively writing pieces of a story with other members, one post at a time. We call this role-playing, because you assume the identity of your character as if it were your own. In order to play, you must register an account for each character you would like to write about, and begin their tale by filling out their basic profile information: Race (human, elf, demon, etc.), class (warrior, mage, etc.), physical appearance, and any other personal details you would like to describe. You are also encouraged to come up with some background history information for what your character's life has been like up to the point at which their story in Imythess begins. There is no approval process or application required to join, so long as you follow the rules then you are free to write whatever character details you choose. Registration is simple, fast, and completely free. Create a character now! If you're already a member, you can log into your account below: |

High up in a tree crouched a cat-sized steel colored dragon, peering down in the early dawn light at a circle of wizards in a grove below her. She couldn't see Aether Draka in the shadows far below, but the small fly dragon on her right horn assured her that AD was there and she would show up soon. In the mean time, words, harsh and gruff, drifted up to the pair from the group below. "I tell you Huran, there is supposed to be a tower around here. All we have to do is cast the right detection spell." one said for the fifth time. "I honestly think we need to be in the Dark Woods to find it. I've managed to find a few images of a library there with books from Taras! They have magical lore that may prove useful!" said Huran with a heavy sigh, dropping his hands. "Well, if the stories of a demon guarding it are true we have plenty of holy things to denture it from attacking." chimed in a third, hefting a bottle of holy water in his hand with a grin. It was then that AD decided that they were in fact getting too close to her home for her comfort. Especially as it seemed they wish to rob her of the books she had saved from the destruction in Taras. She slipped from the shadows and looked at the five warlocks. She wondered slightly at the different colors they were wearing and why they wore such heavily embroidered garments in the thick forest. "You seem a bit... out of place." AD said with a smile. "Do you need a hand?" All ten eyes turned to look at her. A child in the eyes of most of them. A half-elf child dressed in green and brown leather. She had no weapons, no armor, and only a few bits of silver jewelry. The child might leave near by or have been abandoned in these woods. "Not unless you have seen a tower about." Scoffed the one dressed in red as he crossed his arms. AD stopped to think for a moment. No, the only towers she knew were nowhere near here. She shook her head. |

Naz-wraith was looking down on the forest below, searching once more for his master. Somehow, they had managed to get seperated again. Geez. Many creatures below took notice of him and ran in fear. A low rumble escaped him as he chuckled. As he continued his search, he saw several figures in one contained area. They were all in different colored garments, and they looked... appetizing. Naz-wraith hadn't eaten in a while either... There was a small child with five larger beings, and he saw some shuffling in the trees near the six, but whatever it was, it was small. Too small to even serve as a meal, just like the child. But the other five... He swooped down, roaring loudly, striking fear in the entire surrounding forest. His master would have been sure have heard that, if he was in the forest at all, and would soon come to him, as he hated walking. For now, Naz-wraith would be making a meal of the mortals that stood before him as landed. This should be an interesting meal, he said staring at the larger five of the six, speaking in draconic more to himself as he didn't expect any of them to understand. |

AD looked up as she saw a dragon coming down from above. She heard Turin's telepathic voice warn her silently before the creature swooped down. The five wizards drew their wands, and AD noticed that they were elemental wands. She had seen many styles in the Academy of Magic. The one who had asked about the tower, dressed in red robes, had a fire wand. Huran was a nature wizard and the one in green. The one who had holy water was a Holy Magic user. The one in blue was easily the water wizard. That meant the last one, though AD couldn't see his wand from where she stood, was most likely air, mostly because yellow robes didn't seem the type to be necromancers or the like. The dragon landed, drawing all the attention from her question. She gave a slight shrug. They didn't know how to play the game of questions right anyways. "You do know that most magic users like these ones tend to not have much meat on them, right? Maybe all of them might make a meal if you are looking for a fight." AD replied to the dragon in his own language. At that point, they remembered she was there and looked from one to the other, clearly more concerned with the dragon. None of them seemed to think of running at this point though. The steel hatching dropped down a few branches and bounded out to the end of the limb. She came to an abrupt halt as the branch bent down under her weight. Another dragon! He was big! Was he busy? She hoped that he wouldn't try to harm AD. It would be more fun to learn some things then have to fight with or flee from the bigger dragon. She watched the humanoids and dragon below with interest. |

"You do know that most magic users like these ones tend to not have much meat on them, right? Maybe all of them might make a meal if you are looking for a fight." the little female spoke to Naz-wraith in the language of the dragons. He was surprised she knew this tongue, but it gave him an immediate liking to her. A rumble could be heard from him as he chuckled at her statement of the five before him not having much meat on them. Well, a snack is always nice, right? he replied. Without waiting for an answer, Naz-wraith swept his tail out in front of him, grabbing the one that held a small vial of water, the one in green and the one in yellow. He didn't know why they were all dresed so brightly, might have something to do with them being magic users as the little one had said. But he didn't care. He lifted them up and was going to bite their heads off before anyone else could have a word in. |

Arianr finally reached AD then, hopping on her shoulder, balancing there for a moment, then folded her wings. "Up to you." Aether Draka replied in draconic. The dragon didn't seem to be worried about the wizards and before the men could get a word in edgewise, three off them were swept off their feet. AD shrugged and tucked a stray braid behind her ear before sitting down on an invisible seat. Arianr slipping down to AD's lap. There she perched, with her two front legs on AD's knee, and watched the proceedings. The holy water fell and hit the ground, shattering. Water splashed all of those near and bits of glass shimmered on the damp ground. The wizard in red yelled and called fire to his hand, only to be distracted by the holy water and lost his spell. "Are you trying to snuff my magic!" He screamed. The water wizard did get his first spell off though. He threw a bolt of ice at the dragon's tail. It may or may not help the others though. The wizard in green looked in shock, not sure if he had anything useful in this situation. He still tried though, getting one magical word out before he no longer had a head. His wand fell from his had, unused. The other two soon joined it, nestled on the glass of the broken bottle of holy water. Too bad AD didn't do any elemental magic. They still might get her a few coin though. |

As Naz-wraith gulped down the heads he felt a very sharp and intense pain in his tail. Roaring in absolute rage, he saw the origin of the pain; there was a gaint icicle in his tail. Inhaling, Naz-wraith suddenly lurched his head forwad forward, expelling a mass of black energy from his mouth, blasting the blue one in the chest, and causing him to essentially explode, launching body parts in all different directions, with the left arm forcefully smacking the red one in the face. It was now practically raining blood in this area of carnage, courtesy of a very pissed off Fell-Beast. Pathetic creatures... he growed as he pulled the icicle out of his tail. |
