| Welcome to Imythess, the border between dreams and reality. We hope you enjoy your visit. Imythess is a creative writing board where you narrate the story of a character in the medieval land of Imythess, on the planet Chaon. Each topic is an opportunity for your character to interact with the world and its peoples by cooperatively writing pieces of a story with other members, one post at a time. We call this role-playing, because you assume the identity of your character as if it were your own. In order to play, you must register an account for each character you would like to write about, and begin their tale by filling out their basic profile information: Race (human, elf, demon, etc.), class (warrior, mage, etc.), physical appearance, and any other personal details you would like to describe. You are also encouraged to come up with some background history information for what your character's life has been like up to the point at which their story in Imythess begins. There is no approval process or application required to join, so long as you follow the rules then you are free to write whatever character details you choose. Registration is simple, fast, and completely free. Create a character now! If you're already a member, you can log into your account below: |

Artemis walked through the once beautiful city of Taras. As he walked he looked around at the rubble and the death all around him. The sight of the city made him wonder if the people knew anything about the attack prior to it occurring. Out of the corner of his eye he saw a man who didn't look like a victim of the attack running with some gold and a small piece of meat. This man wore the insignia of a known group bandits. Artemis hated seeing people take advantage of a bad situation. His rage began to build and he launched a fireball at the man and struck him in the back. The man dropped to the ground and looked at Artemis, then he just ran away empty handed. I can't believe people Artemis then continued his journey to find any survivors. |

Naz-wraith was hungry. His amster had sent him off by himself part for him to find food, and part to give his master's legs a break. The scales of the fell-beast hurt, as the saddle had been lost. He was flying high over the ruins of a city, with debris smoldering and smoke rising up into the sky. He scanned down looking for suitable prey. A small spark of fire caught his attention, as a man scrambled onto the ground, dropping what he had in his hands. The fire had come from another man standing not to far away fromt the first. Mhmm, roasted... he thought deliciously, savoring the thought of the meat. Naz-wraith swooped down quickly, and grabbed the one that had been hit by the frieball with his talons, roaring with glee as he felt the man's frantic attempts to get free. He then threw the man in front of himself and plunged his fangs into the man's flesh, delighting in the taste of the fresh blood and flesh; slighty seared, thanks to the other man. He swallowed his food, and turned his attention to finding more. |

Artemis turned as he heard a disturbance behind him. Artemis watched partially in awe and partially in anger as a large wyvern fly out of the sky and attack the man that Artemis had just punished. After a moment Artemis realized that he had encountered this beast before. He couldn't recall the beasts name but he knew all to well who his master was. And where a servant is the master is sure to be close by. The wyvern's master was no other than Morgal, Lord of the Nine Riders. Artemis had encountered Morgal not to long ago in the Green Gryphon and it hadn't ended well for either of them. This is not my day Artemis mumbled to himself and began to walk toward the beast. Artemis thought it best to address the creature in a playful tone so it wouldn't become enraged at him. Easy there big fella, eat your meal and be on your way now. This isn't a good place for a creature like you to be right about now. Artemis thought of the refugees and all the people attempting to find shelter which led him to think the beast might go after these weak people. The thought made a chill run up his spine. |

Before he gain much height, the other man had attempted talking to him. For amusement, he swooped back down and landed in front of him, eyeing him carefully. Something was familiar about this one... that smell.... Suddenly, Naz-wraith roared with anger as he recognized who this one was. Not by name, but his scent gave him away. It was a pathetic mortal that had managed by sheer luck to have survived Naz-wraith's master. Naz-wraith roared loudly, shouting in the death rattle that only he and his master understood. Master! Come to your servant! I have found one of which your hatred is directed! Naz-wraith didn't know how close his master was, or how fast it would take him to get here. Either way, Naz-wraith was capable of handling this mortal, he just wanted to allow his master satisfaction. Should the mortal be stupid enough to try and fight. |

The beast was calling for it's master as it stood in front of Artemis. They both stood a moment eyeing one another neither seemed to move. Artemis was the first to break he had to keep the beast away so he took a few steps back slowly. Then he launched a small fireball enough to singe the beast and launched it at the beast head. As the fire ball hit Artemis began to run hoping that the beast would follow as Artemis led it away from any people that could still be in the area. |

Naz-wraith simply moved his head to the side as the pathetic mortal tossed a fireball at his head. A rumble could be heard as Naz-wraith chuckled at his stupidity. But finally a smart move came from the mortal as he began to run from Naz-wraith. He had no idea what the mortal was trying to do, but it didn't matter. He had found more prey. A female, and three littles ones sat huddled around a fire, terrified at the site before them. He flapped at them hard, buffeting them with wind. As they were on the ground, he stepped onto the three little ones, and grabbed the female in his mouth, biting and chewing her before he swallowed her whole for the most part. The flesh bag slid down his throat as he could feel his appetite being filled slowly. He grabbed each and of the littles ones and swallowed them completely, being sure to bite them in order to kill them as they went down. Live food in the stomach was irritating. He turned back to the pathetic mortal from before in order to keep an eye on him. |

Dragonis was flying over the ruins of a once great city when he spotted an old friend in the distance. Artemis was a young man who while wasn't the best fighter had the soul of a warrior. Draco had trained with the boy quite some time ago, now it seemed he needed help. Draco flew as fast he could at the beast that was attacking Artemis. Artemis Run! Draco screamed at Artemis as he collided with the large flying beast. |
