Welcome to Imythess, the border between dreams and reality. We hope you enjoy your visit.

Imythess is a creative writing board where you narrate the story of a character in the medieval land of Imythess, on the planet Chaon. Each topic is an opportunity for your character to interact with the world and its peoples by cooperatively writing pieces of a story with other members, one post at a time. We call this role-playing, because you assume the identity of your character as if it were your own.

In order to play, you must register an account for each character you would like to write about, and begin their tale by filling out their basic profile information: Race (human, elf, demon, etc.), class (warrior, mage, etc.), physical appearance, and any other personal details you would like to describe. You are also encouraged to come up with some background history information for what your character's life has been like up to the point at which their story in Imythess begins.

There is no approval process or application required to join, so long as you follow the rules then you are free to write whatever character details you choose. Registration is simple, fast, and completely free.

Music...Chaos was not one for music much, finding the sound annoying and aggervating. But tonight he did not mind the simple tune of the demons. He was here in the dancers nest to meet someone, someone who he had heard had finally made it back to imythess. This made him happy for it had been a long time since he had seen his dear friend. Morgal wanted to meet in a dark confined place, one where they could talk with out being noticed. The dancers nest was just the place. With dark shadows and a loud enough noise to drown out their conversation.

Chaos sat in one of the dark corners, sitting on a cushion low to the ground. The dim candles and lights shown around giving off little light. Chaos looked like nothing but a wall sitting their in the corner. This was his goal, to seem alone and non exsitant, for the meeting he was about to partake in was of dire importance.

The dark figure stalked the streets of balefire, as if he was just floating along the streets. His cloak dragged the street, his feet covered to give off the apperance that he was floating. The night was dark and calm, people walking on the streets would not have seen them unless they knew he was there. Morgal made a habit of not being seen. His goal, the dancers nest, was up ahead wedged in between to larger buildings. If he had a smile he would have smiled, but the evil Witch King no longer felt emotion.

The door opened, no sound emmiting from the door for the singing and playing of music was loud into the night. He looked around at all the creatures of the night not one of them the man he wanted. Then he saw him, the dark red beast, Demon of hell. His feet calmly moved to the dark corner, his dead eyes fixed on his goal, it was time to meet the god he once worshipped.

Chaos saw the door open, and watched as the dark cloaked figure walked into the music hall. He was late, like always and chaos hated people being late, but this man was of importance and deserved no harrassment from him. Chaos was i need of him, the legendary Dark Rider, one who he had heard so much about. Sitting in the corner he watched as Morgal made his way to the demon of hell fire.

Morgal used to be a king that worshipped Chaos, back when he was the god of Chaos and held his high postion of power. Morgal, or so he was called, led legions of undead and demons to attack nations and leave the lands dead. He was back to do his duty to Chaos, and bring back the armies of Hell. Chaos was glad his most loyal servant was able to leave the netherworld and come back to serve along side him. Things were starting to look up. He had achived level one, met his former knights of the Forge and now was meeting the only person chaos ever respected.

You always were one to be late, I could never get things done on time because of you. He chuckled a bit as the shadow passed by him.

He moved at the same pace, not speeding up or slowing down at all. His breathing remained the same, his focus was on the reddish colored man in the corner. Morgal knew exactly who he was, and his intentions this night. The steel long sword at his side waved back and forth from his side, his cloak covering every inch of undead flesh. He would have been attacked instantly if the habitants of the hall saw him, knowing what he really was. Sure this was a place for the like to meet and be one, but he was not like them, having killed many of the families and friends in the past. He was marked a traitor, and backstabber to the world of evil. That wasn’t correct either. He worked for one person, Chaos.

The quiet shaky voice hit his decaying ear drums. It sounded desperate and strong at the same time. Looking to the corner he saw that chaos was still not completely released, stuck in a human body was a disgrace. Although the horns and red skin hinted that he was progressing slowly. It would only be a matter of time before his god was back. And you always knew how to piss someone off didn’t you Was the response Morgal gave to his statement. The cloaked figure passed under the lamp light, sat next to chaos and sat motionless. The scene now appeared as a demon sitting next to a large bag.

Its good to see you again my liege

The dark cloaked figure walked slowly to him, and sat next to him in the dark corner. Making himself unseen was what Morgal was good at, and well chaos was not. His big red body was not something you could miss in daily life. But tonight they had to be unseen, it was a matter of life or…well death was coming anyway so what was the point. He chuckled a little at the shades remark, knowing that he could back his words up just as well as this demon.

You know its good to see someone from the old days actually remembers me. You know I don’t think any of the old generals even care that im back. This was a blunt and to the point statement, but then again they had no time to waist, they were here on important matters. So playing hard to work with and playing introductions was not something that needed to be done now. A war was coming, he knew it, all the rumors were spreading and well chaos needed to build his side fast. And what better way then to get his best and strongest general back.

It was sad that he, of all the ancient beings, was the only to care that his god was back. The man he fought for and even risked his life for. When the god left imythess, cursed to rot and die all had given up, thinking that the end was here and all was doomed. But morgal always had hope, and it payed off. Sitting next to his master he smiled under the darkness of his cloak, no joy was felt, but he could not help but grin.

Master, i am here to do as you command. I shall remain to command your army back from the nether world. We will take back imythess my liege. He bowed and stood up, to show his master how much he was willing to serve.

Chaos was glad to see someone still cared about him, someone still honored his greatness. Smiling his dark evil smile he extended a hand, in friend ship of what use to be. The tavern was still loud, sounds of music and singing was echoing off in the halls, many were dancing and laughing, beast of many races were conversing at the many floor level tables. It was funny how chaos knew the names of so many here, yet they had never even heard of him. As time progressed more and more of his power was regaining, soon he would be at full power and the world would be under his control.

Good, now for the time being we must continue to expand our army, get as many well bodied recruits as you can, the summoning shall be in a week. I will need five good strong souls to allow the ritual to take place. But don’t forget, your army is no longer with us, banished by that damn paladin. So you to must recreate a army of minions, some that you can control with out a hesitation. I have already began to collect mine. With a blood filled smile he turned to face the bar, glaring at each and every one of them.
