Welcome to Imythess, the border between dreams and reality. We hope you enjoy your visit.

Imythess is a creative writing board where you narrate the story of a character in the medieval land of Imythess, on the planet Chaon. Each topic is an opportunity for your character to interact with the world and its peoples by cooperatively writing pieces of a story with other members, one post at a time. We call this role-playing, because you assume the identity of your character as if it were your own.

In order to play, you must register an account for each character you would like to write about, and begin their tale by filling out their basic profile information: Race (human, elf, demon, etc.), class (warrior, mage, etc.), physical appearance, and any other personal details you would like to describe. You are also encouraged to come up with some background history information for what your character's life has been like up to the point at which their story in Imythess begins.

There is no approval process or application required to join, so long as you follow the rules then you are free to write whatever character details you choose. Registration is simple, fast, and completely free.

The night was dark, calm and still. Not much coul dbe seen in the dark night, the swallowing darkness of the forest looked scary and creepy. Many would look into the forest and see darkness, desolation that nobody would want a part of. But some poeple, the fae people loved this time of night. the dead darkness filled wiht the sounds and lives of the creatures that dwelt in the wood. Mirage was one of these faries who loved the forest at night. To most it seemed like nothing really happened, except for the stalking of beast and blood hungery creatures.

Mirage sat in a tree, her wings beating at the same pace of her heart beat. She wore a dark green night gown, with her wand strapped to her leg. The cold tree bark felt cozy on her skin, like she was at home in the forest. Looking around she smiled and clasped her hands together. her quiet seductive voice echoed off in the woods. Ok you can come out now! For a second nothing happened, but then a dim light appeared in the darkness, followed by another, and another an dfinally thousands upone thousands of glittering flicker fireflies sprang from the forest floor. the darkness soon filled up full bright lively lights, all playing and dancing off the wood line. Shadows played across the ground creating a illusion that the forest was alive.

Mirage placed both hands behind her head as she layed back agaisnt the tree trunk. A firefly landed on her shoulder. turning to it she smiled and closed her eyes, the night was almost magically.

Ulfr stood in a tree watching Mirage; he wondered if she was even aware of his presence. She seemed so happy and at peace. The forest was a great place this time of night; not many could agree with that though.

She was sitting in a tree not too far from the one Ulfr was in, and she was wearing a dark green night gown; she seemed to have a preference for night gowns.

"Ok you can come out now!" she said loudly, even though her voice, like a moth to the flame to Ulfr, was a quiet one. He thought she had noticed him, but then what seemd like thousands of fireflies came forth seemingly out of nowhere. Ulfr chuckled, and with that, he leaped onto the branch she sat upon.

"Hey there stranger, what brings you to the woods?" he asked as he smiled at her, admiring her beauty and wondering how he had been so lucky.

Artemis was taking a late night stroll though Norwood Forest when he heard voices in the distance. He figured he could use some company on a night like tonight. Artemis began to walk toward where the voices were coming from and while walking he continued to observe the beauty in the forest at night. He soon found himself starring at the sky and not where he was walking and tripped over a tree root. He laughed at his own clumsiness and when he stood up he noticed the ones who must have been talking he saw his friend Mirage with a great many fire flies, he also saw Ulfr Windpelt near her. Seeing his friends he decided to go over to them.

Hey Mirage fancy seeing you here. And hello to you Ulfr.

Artemis knew this night was going to be an interesting one.

The young wood elves was relaxing, his eyes looking up in the sky. He needed to be stronger, how long has it been since he got out of that cave and fougth this giant orc along with others. What came into his mind was that winged elf woman. He closed his eyes and listened. It was calm, nothing out of the ordinary, until he felt like the bugs of the night were singing. Curious he opened his eyes. What was going? He then had a firefly passing before him, so as one of the bug of the night, he followed him. Maybe he could see what was going on.

He crouched a bit hearing people chat together and remained in the bushes, he could not yet tell if they were good or bad. And appearance may be deceiving. After all, Ganondorf had been councelor of the king and he had betryed his whole country. With his green outfit, he remained safely hidden.

As Artemis looked around he suddenly had the feeling that he was being watched. He turned around slowly and searched the area with his eyes. Artemis figured he was just being paranoid again. He had not been the same since his encounter with the dragon that changed his life.

Ulfr was a little annoyed with Aretmis having the gumption to interrupt what could have been a nice, private night with naught but the fireflies, the moon and the stars, and Mirage.

Ulfr thought back to his past, and he remembered with fondness at the memories of playing with his den-mates, chasing all sorts of things, especially fireflies at night, with the adults growling at the annoyance of the pups preventing them from sleeping.

Mirage, would you fancy somewhere else, a little more secluded, and with just as much if not more fireflies to entice out of their hiding?

He held out his hand, wondering if she would accept the offer.
