Welcome to Imythess, the border between dreams and reality. We hope you enjoy your visit.

Imythess is a creative writing board where you narrate the story of a character in the medieval land of Imythess, on the planet Chaon. Each topic is an opportunity for your character to interact with the world and its peoples by cooperatively writing pieces of a story with other members, one post at a time. We call this role-playing, because you assume the identity of your character as if it were your own.

In order to play, you must register an account for each character you would like to write about, and begin their tale by filling out their basic profile information: Race (human, elf, demon, etc.), class (warrior, mage, etc.), physical appearance, and any other personal details you would like to describe. You are also encouraged to come up with some background history information for what your character's life has been like up to the point at which their story in Imythess begins.

There is no approval process or application required to join, so long as you follow the rules then you are free to write whatever character details you choose. Registration is simple, fast, and completely free.

Mirage had come to her first stop after leaving kellen, Memphian Falls. She had decided to leave her village to journey out and see the world. Sure she knew most of imythess but she loved to just head out and go on adventures. So after leaving the day before she had arrived at the glorious water fall, a place so peaceful and calm. The walk had taken most of the day so by the time she entered the dark forest the moon was out and the stars aided its shine. She loved this time of night, just out in nature with the moon watching her back. The soft glow of the moon shone on her light purple skin, creating a hue that was almost like magic itself.

She had walked for a good ten minutes in silence, just thinking to herself about the day before and all the adventure kellen had given her. But she began to feel like someone else was in this place, a presence that was not of her own. The pink socks she wore wiggled around causing her to stop. Usually they didn’t move unless they were off, but now they did. Something was up in the magical place. Grabbing her wand she whispered and a soft glow of light emitted from the tip, lighting her path. And maybe someone nearby would see the light and come to her. She only hoped it was friendly.

Suddenly a crack of a twig was heard. Spinning around her soft hair almost whipped her in the face. Her eyes narrowed in and she thought she could see an outline of a body, or maybe it was her mind playing a trick on her. Is anyone out there? I don’t want to hurt you, just want to be friends. she was unknowing of who was there, but if they were large and violent she wanted them to know she was no harm, a simple fairy on a walk in the woods.

It was rare that she was able to get away from her home lately. When you had three demon children (not that they were demons, they were only toddler half-dragon children who happened to have horns, which then, makes them acceptable to be called "demons" by her), they were always causing problems for her to deal with. She didn't hate her kids, but she didn't love children either. They were a complete pain, and invaded all her alone time. During the time she does manage to get along, it would be a utter lie if she said she didn't end up drinking more then she should, but she was a dragon, luckily getting drunk wasn't that easy for her.

Earlier today, she once again had to hear the little things yap on. Usually they knew how to play the "quiet game", but today, they seemed to take a joy in being loud and annoying their mother, who had a very short temper. Though, she could never hurt her children, and though the urge to lock them in one of the many empty rooms of the small castle she owned, she just sent them to play with the maids, but they kept coming back to nag her. Was she never going to get any peace and quiet? Didn't seem likely. But now it was alter. She finally - after hours it seemed - got the children into their beds, and they fell asleep, exhausted from the long day of running around.

Once she made sure they were asleep and well, she told the head servant to keep an eye on them, while the dragon went out. Sava left her home, letting her umbras guard the place, as she went to look for some of this peace and quiet she has nearly forgotten. And instead of changing into her dragon self, she stayed in her human form, it was easier now days, to appear only as a human.

She made it towards the falls, and she could hear them in the near distance. This was always her favorite place, that was why she lived near here. She shifted in the dress she wore. It was a little uncomfortable, but when she was home, she preferred them more then her travel clothes. And she wasn't weaponless, you could never catch her without a weapon, she had her sword right at her side at all times.

She was expecting to be alone, but it didn't take a genius to know when someone else was around. She halted in her footsteps, and glanced around her. Obviously she had been seen too, not that she was trying to hide or anything.

Is anyone out there? I don’t want to hurt you, just want to be friends.

A brow raised slightly, and Sava stepped from the darkness and looked at the girl. She lifted her hands, a smile touching her face.

"I wouldn't want to hurt you either, unless necessary. But you don't look like some bandit who is trying to get to my home and raid it." The dragon in human form said, laughing, as if it were nothing but a joke.

Nighttime. Favorite time for his cursed ancestors to go out and plays with the mortals life. Time of Shadow, time of Darkness, Time of the dead. Illianis was on the hunt tonight. Target, nonetheless then a Dragon. Female, 5'7'' around 130 pounds. Yes, the Katane was good to get his information. No details could go out for his tasks. Every detail, important. Though from what he heard, she was a powerful prey. Dragons are indeed powerful beings. They were in a way, a source of the magic in this world. As much as fairies....

The red eyes went from the draconic human, to the little one floating with her lighted wand. Was enough to take care of a dragon, but he also had to deal with that? But, looking at her in the darkness of the surrounding. She was not a confident one. Perhaps was she among the weak ones? The ones you kill like birds with a good sweep of the blade.

But, if he was dispatching the fairy now, he would loose all his suprise effects on the dragon and fighting it head on was nealry suicide. She had not left her caslte lately, and getting in there, was foolishness. But time was enough, immortals like the assassin and that warrior. Also, the fairy. Truly ironic this night was. With slow and calculated movement, he approached Sava. No time to lose. Swift movement as the dagger was out, and he jumped silently in the back of the dragonic warrior. His clothes tighly on him, was not even making a flap as he passed through the air, just a few seconds...artery in her neck would be spilling tons of blood.

Mirage gripped her wand even more, trying to focus in on the darkness before her. The shadows playing off her light was beginning to trick her mind, almost like something was reaching its hand out to grab her. Mirage tried to keep her composure and keep her attention on the movement in front of her. A dark shadow was beginning to emerge from the shadows and show its self. The form was that of a woman, a rather thin attractive woman. She stepped from the shadowy darkness and greeted mirage with a reply to her statement. Her words were that of comfort, showing that the fairy need not worry about this woman.

With a sigh of relief mirage stepped forward, lowering her wand a bit but still kept it high enough to light the area. She smiled at the woman and tried to keep a calm pose. Sorry for that, did not mean to startled you, haha although you startled me. Im Mirage and im kind of lost, maybe you can help me out of these woods. She giggled a little, her natural personality taking over since she felt safer and more comfortable now. But she still could not shake the feeling of someone else, watching her here in the darkness. Her eyes motioned out of view from the woman to the forest around her. The light was strong enough to bask rays in the distant, and from this mirage caught sight of another moving figure.

It all happened quicker than she had liked. The woman in front of her had barely shown up when someone else decided to ruin the moment. A dark figure moved from the shadows and lunged at the back of this new stranger. Mirage, being the first to see him, rapidly pushed the woman aside and launced a magic missile from the tip of her wand. It was not aimed or even prepared, but she wanted to gain a extra minute to warn the woman she had just met. This night was going to be long.
