Welcome to Imythess, the border between dreams and reality. We hope you enjoy your visit.

Imythess is a creative writing board where you narrate the story of a character in the medieval land of Imythess, on the planet Chaon. Each topic is an opportunity for your character to interact with the world and its peoples by cooperatively writing pieces of a story with other members, one post at a time. We call this role-playing, because you assume the identity of your character as if it were your own.

In order to play, you must register an account for each character you would like to write about, and begin their tale by filling out their basic profile information: Race (human, elf, demon, etc.), class (warrior, mage, etc.), physical appearance, and any other personal details you would like to describe. You are also encouraged to come up with some background history information for what your character's life has been like up to the point at which their story in Imythess begins.

There is no approval process or application required to join, so long as you follow the rules then you are free to write whatever character details you choose. Registration is simple, fast, and completely free.

A heavy rain was falling down from the dark clouded sky over the ruins of Taras, a little now and then a bolt of lightning crossed the sky followed by a loud sound of thunder. The evening light was really taking out the more depressing side of this place, no one set there foot in the ruins without a good reasons these days. The city ruins stood there as a sign of events of the past, a skeleton in the massive closet that was imythess. Just another signs of peoples ignorance, no wonder he could not trust anyone in this world.

Aegnor was standing on a hill in the outskirts of the city, his red demonic eyes scanned the ruins in silence and he had not been moving for close to an hour. Emma was sitting on the ground inside of his cloak where she was protected from the harsh weather. "Master what are we doing here?" she asked him slowly and glanced up at the demons face. "Nothing Emma, that is what we are here for" the demon replied with a slow almost bored tone to the voice. "We are going into the city" he added and started to walk down the hillside towards the city itself.

Emma was on her feet and quickly ran after her master, stopping a little now and then to catch her breath. "But master...it is wet...and cold" she said and quickly moved so that she could be inside of the cloak again. "We will find shelter inside of the city" Aegnor simply said and did not stop in his walking, he did slow down a little so that the human girl was able to keep up with him. The little duo walked down the former main street of Taras, down towards the center of the city, the very hear where all the shops was, the tavern and the market. Now everything that had once been sold was gone or destroyed. Kind of how Aegnor was feeling inside at that moment, he was feeling like a ruined city.

Dawn stood in the very center of the city. Her eyes were closed and she was 'looking' around her for the magic portal that had once been here. It was still there, though closed. It would have to be sealed before the city could be rebuilt. She knew that. She didn't know how to do that though. How very frustrating...

She was dressed in a white and cream dress with a pair of leg warmers, a thick cloak of brown hide with the hood up, and under her feet sat a two-headed white puppy who was wet already, but didn't seem to mind the cold. When the sound of someone coming reached the pup's ears, he stood up and jumped out to stand between Dawn and the stranger, a low warning growl coming from one head as the other gave a bark to let Dawn know too.

She jumped at the bark, loosing her concentration and the sense of the closed portal dissolving as it had never been. She pouted, frustrated. It had taken her all day just to get that far. How was she supposed to learn magic if she couldn't sense it? With that, she turned to see what had caught her dear puppy's attention. A figure, someone tall. Not Master then, and Daddy didn't know she was here. He wasn't home when Master gave her this task. She was sure he was near that Kellen place he and Aunt Lin had been talking about though.

Aegnor first did not notice the little girl in the distance at the center of the city, he just continued to walk thought the rain. Half-listening to what Emma said from time to time, the girl talked far to much for his taste. "Emma, I have told you before that I do not like small" he stopped when a scent found itself to his nose and it caused him to stop. He frowned and looked around, searching for something. Now he noticed that they where not alone in the ruins, it was someone there with them. Someone familiar? The demon snorted a little before he continued to walk forward towards the center.

The bark of an animal reached his ears, also Emma since the little girl peeked out from inside of the cloak and looked around. Aegnor now had a better look at what this familiar creature was, a small girl and a dog? Perfect...more kids he had to take care of! No he was not going to adopt yet another....but his thoughts died away when he actually noticed who it was. Dawn? My that was a surprise. The older brother sighed but did not stop walking until he was a few yards away from the little girl. "Hello sister" he commented slowly and raised one hand to lower his hood, revealing his face, the grey hair and the red eyes. "small girls should not be out alone in late times like this" from what he rememebr she was more like a carrot that could not make a choice of her own, not that he was surprised since they both shared the same father. Yaksha never was a good father at all.

Dawn took a few steps forward and placed her hand on the wet pup. He fell silent immediately and sat down in the rain, his tail thumping happily for a job well done. She looked at him for a moment before saying, "I'm not alone. Master is near. I'm learning about magic." She said it so matter-of-factly that it would no doubt be imposable to convince her of it being otherwise.

She looked around, realizing only then that the weather had gotten worse and she felt a little tired from her efforts. Master had told her to take her time. So perhaps she should rest some? On the other hand, why was Aegnor doing here?

Her puppy noticed Emma and got up to wander over and sniff the girl and the man she was with. Dawn didn't notice him as she pondered what to say to her older brother. Finally she decided to ask something. "Are you going somewhere?" She asked, not out of curiosity, but as a way of having a conversation. She ignored the rain. It wasn't like it could hurt her, so she let it be. Just like sunlight and trees and flowers. She had never been around them before, but it didn't hurt her, so she was fine with it.

Aegnor listened to her words, he just looked at the little girl with his cold red eyes. Yeah his eyes did not really have much energy or emotion lately. Master was near? Now that would be welcome if he really was near, but so far Aegnor had not seen Master Rith for a long time. "I am sure he is near" he commented, but the tone of his voice did not really say much off his emotional state. Maybe he did think so? but it was more likely he just said it to keep Dawn from crying, he knew small girls could cry at times. He did not have the will to have to comfort a good for nothing sister right now.

Aegnor noticed that the dog moved over to them, but he did not pay much attention to it. Emma on the other hand found the little animal interesting and she peeked out in a curious, slightly shy manner when the dog was sniffing. "Hello" she said lowly and reached out to pat the puppy on the head, then she looked over to Dawn and waved a little. "Hi" was her greeting.

The demon examined his sister when she asked if he was going somewhere. "Not really, I am just walking. Thinking...something I do not think you would understand. So....how is father? Still the same irritating person as before?" he snorted a little and shook his head before he gave the area around them a little glance. "Your going to catch a cold if you stand like that in the cold rain Dawn, then you would be sick and maybe die?" something was clear about Aegnor, he was honest about what he said alright.

"Daddy seems quiet a lot. He doesn't want to ever play." She said, then noticed Emma and waved back with a grin. The pup was happy for the attention and stuck his nose in Emma's hand to see if he could get her to keep petting him.

"Die from cold?" She asked, not realizing what being sick meant. "Is that why Daddy doesn't like the cold? But he has undead all over the place."

What an odd thing to say. She didn't quite understand it entirely, but she knew that she wasn't in any danger or Master would have done something. She thought about the words a little bit more before asking, "Well, how am I supposed to not be in the rain? I don't know where it isn't raining."

Aegnor closed his eyes and moved one hand to his forehead, this girl was a little to much. So daddy did not want to play? well how sad. "I do not feel sorry for him after the things he have done" he commented dryly. He just was feeling slightly....jealous that his sister could get to have parents while he had been forced to take care of himself.

Emma giggled a little and continued to pat the little puppy on the head, she then moved to scratch it behind the ears. It was clear the little dog liked it, so Emma liked it to. She always was a little girl that liked to have a good time.

Aegnor was a little surprised when the girl did not seem to understand that she could die from to much cold. "Yes you can, if you become to wet and cold you will start to feel weak, then slowly you will die. But of course....I might be wrong" he shrugged a little and closed his eyes, okay...he was stuck with yet another kid that did not know how to take care of herself. "Come here, it is dry under my cloak with Emma. We are going to find a better dry place to stay for the night, you are free to come with us if you want sister"
