Welcome to Imythess, the border between dreams and reality. We hope you enjoy your visit.

Imythess is a creative writing board where you narrate the story of a character in the medieval land of Imythess, on the planet Chaon. Each topic is an opportunity for your character to interact with the world and its peoples by cooperatively writing pieces of a story with other members, one post at a time. We call this role-playing, because you assume the identity of your character as if it were your own.

In order to play, you must register an account for each character you would like to write about, and begin their tale by filling out their basic profile information: Race (human, elf, demon, etc.), class (warrior, mage, etc.), physical appearance, and any other personal details you would like to describe. You are also encouraged to come up with some background history information for what your character's life has been like up to the point at which their story in Imythess begins.

There is no approval process or application required to join, so long as you follow the rules then you are free to write whatever character details you choose. Registration is simple, fast, and completely free.

Divschatten's Dark Lady

The city was dark even during the days, but never the less it was all the more dark during the nights. Balefire, the city of scums was a better name for this place, filled with evil and corruption it was without a doubt one of the worst places in the land. But that made it all the more interesting, after all who liked things calm? Alice was far from one of them anyway, lately things had actually been really boring to the sorceress. But she had a strong feeling that things was about to change, for the better. The lady sat inside a large mansion in the more luxurious parts of the city, it had been fairly easy for her to get access to it. The person having his home here was a rick drow, they are easiest to effect with her powers.

She was dressed in her best red dress, she also had a perfect crown-looking headgear made from gold and gems. She examined her own hand for a moment and a magical energy began to flow around her fingers, making a gentle light spread lighting up her face. Alice whispered something with a low tone to her voice, then she gestured towards the area in front of the throne.

From a black cloud a tall demon warrior appeared, he was dressed in a black armor and had a massive claymore hanging on his back. "You summoned me milady?" he asked and knelt down in front of the sorceress. Alice looked at him, then she nodded in a queen-like way. "yes I did, I summoned you because I have need of your skills to find people. I want you to locate someone for me"

Alice grinned a little and gestured for the warrior to stand up. He did so and nodded. "I live to serve milady" he said. Alice knew he was going to say that, men are so easy to read. "You target is to find a man by the name Fehade. I am sure you with your skills can find him easy enough." it was about time he had paid her a visit. The warrior did not say anything more, he just nodded and then he was gone just like he arrived.

Dreams. No, nightmares. Relentless nightmares came to him every time he shut his eyes. Whenever he slept, he dreamt of Hell. Of the endless Abyss he was cursed too by that worthless man. Fehade wasn't afraid of much, he only feared his own death. It wasn't like he was killed and then brought back to the earth. He was literally thrown into Hell, body and soul, it was like he had never existed on Choan ever. But now, Hell. He wasn't afraid of the place, but he did fear going back there. And next time he goes there, who says it would be the same as last time? When he was there, he was capable of walking forward. But next time, he might be trapped there forever.

He couldn't let that happen. The idea of being trapped terrified him. He dreamed of that, being helpless, and all power he had abandoned him, leaving him weak. He couldn't fail this time. He wouldn't let himself get thrown back there.

But there was nothing for him to do, for he was weak. Its been less then a month since he's been free. Getting out had been draining. And even though he was immune to fire, the strain he had taken rip Rraezanon from his soul broke that immunity down, and when trying to escape, fire had consumed him and he was not left scarred. It was going to take him a long time until he was fully healed, until his powers regained their full power, and maybe even the scattered memories that was taken from him. But he had a doubt that the memories would return, it seemed, that when the other demon soul was taken from him, they had bonded too much, and their memories had mixed. So while few of Fehade's were gone, he received some he didn't even recognize, and he figured they were of his former demon infused.

So, the demon Fehade, who was trying to be patient and trying to recover from all he had gone through, and yet not wanting to fall asleep due to the dreams, he decided to leave his home that was located in the Dark Lands, and that was slowly going to drive him crazy if he was there any longer, he came to Balefire.

He was often coming here, though he stayed low, not wanting his presence known by everyone that he was back, he hasn't even been to the Divschatten's hideout or seen any of them since he's been back. They probably thought he was dead, since everyone thought that, that Seth destroyed him.

But there were some people who knew he was back, like Seth, and Nikkolai, who he already paid a visit too. But that was about it. Except for others he tortured for fun and to pass the time.

The vampire was in the street, near a alley. A limp body of a woman was clenched in his arms, his teeth latched over her neck, piercing the soft flesh and draining her of blood. Her body was already pale and cold, and her breathing was getting dangerously shallow. He leaned back, releasing his bite on her, but licked the trickle of blood from the cuts his teeth had made, before he dropped her limp body to the ground.

Wiping his mouth with the his hand, his predator-like gaze scanned the surrounding area.

"Hmm... I'm still hungry." He said softly. He stuffed his hands into the pockets on the black coat his wore and moved down the street. His black hair was longer, falling to the nape of his neck, and fell over his faze, shadowing his eyes, and hiding the scars that covered half of his face.

He was going to continue moving down the street, when he sensed a different presence nearby. A demonic one almost. He stopped, and turned, looking over his shoulder, and a growl left his throat, seeming obviously annoyed already.

"Whose there?" Fehade demanded.

"Whose there?"

Nothing replied at first, it was just a deep silence in the area. Maybe even...to silent, then the sound of boots against ground was heard when a person walked out from the shadows. It was a warrior dressed in a black armor, he was very tall and from the built he seemed able to easily knock down the door of a building without even breaking a sweat.

"I am here" he said and the voice sounded deep and close to bored. "Before you ask or attack me I will say that have little use, I am only a messanger" he paused and crossed his arms over the chest. The man was a demon, it was all to clear from the aura he gave out. "I must say it have been....hard to find you Lord Fehade, my mistress wishes to speak with you. She have missed your company." he made a sound that could be a disliking growl, or a sigh. "Follow me and will take you to see her. You will not be dissapointed" the man slowly turned around and began to walk up the street he came, the only sound he made was the metal of his armor against the ground of the street. It was up to Fehade if he wanted to follow or not.

They would walk in complete silence for close to half and hour before they arrived to a very large mansion in the best parts of the city. It looked like the kind of place worthy of a king? The knight simply walked thought the gates into the garden, then towards the large door into the building itself. "inside...straight ahead" he commented and pushed the door opened with his hand. The warrior then took place beside the door and waited in attention for Fehade to walk inside before he closed the door. The inside of the house was even more luxurious then the outside, the entrance hall was going forward and ended in a large door. There was other doors to the sides and two stairs going to the second floor.

During all this time Alice had been making herself ready, she got the new that Fehade was found and was now siting in a thronelike chair, waiting for him to arrive. She was not sure in what state he would be, but she could imagine. The sorceress reached out a hand for the golden goblet on the table next to the chair.

When the figure showed itself, Fehade glowered at it. Annoyed by its very presence. Demons were so very annoying. He had to see them enough where he had been. He felt the usual urge to cut the demon down, and his fingers even twitched, wanting to grasp the hilt of his katana, wanted to see more blood. Messenger or not, he still bled. But what the demon said made him hesitate. His mistress? Who did this demon serve?

He didn't really care, but whoever it was, must know him, but he had no recollection of who it was that wanted to seem him. The other was turning around and walking away. He could follow, and maybe find a little fun, maybe something that'd pass the time, or he could walk in the opposite direction and find some fun elsewhere.

But he wanted to know who it was that wanted to see him. As hard as he tried, he couldn't remember who it might be, who might have a subordinate such as a demon. Another demon most likely. But he just couldn't remember.

Giving up and trying to think about it, he followed after the other demon, not once saying a word as he followed. He was being cautious, because this could very well end up being a trap from one of his enemies that he might have forgotten, but for some reason he didn't get that feeling.

When they finally reached the place, the demon had stepped aside for Fehade at a gate. With a final glare to the other demon, the vampire walked towards the large building, frowning slightly as he looked upon it. It defiantly wasn't good taste, according to Fehade. He preferred his much smaller mansion in the dark lands.

Going inside, he looked around, totally uninterested in the decor. His gaze only on the next pair of doors. He moved up to them and with out hesitation, opened them and walked in. His dark mismatched eyes instantly landing on the woman in the throne.

Hair still hiding a portion of his face as he walked into the room, a snarl pulling at his lips.

"So who are you, to even dare sending a lackey to come and find me?" He growled, glaring at the woman, who did not look the least bit familiar.

Alice heard the sound as the man was walking towards the room, she did not move other then that she shifted a little in the chair and took a small sip of her wine. So now she was going to see what had happened to Fehade during all this time? The door to the room opened and her gaze feel upon the man when he entered, she was sure at first it had to be a mistake.

This could not be Fehade? He looked so different and something about him was different to. The sorceress lowered the glass and examined him in silence. Had he really that much hair before?

"So who are you, to even dare sending a lackey to come and find me?"

As he talked she could remember the sound of his voice, this was Fehade. Still so respectless towards others without caring for what he might say. The woman could not help but find it a little amusing even at this time. "Who I am, do you really not know who I am?" she asked back and moved one hand to her own chin. How come he did not remember? what could possibly have happened to Fehade?

"I am Alice, dark lady of the guild of demons, I have been looking for you for some time now Fehade" she gestured a little with her hand and a chair was pulled out by a table in the room. "I missed you actually" her voice had a weird feeling over it that started to soften a mans mind, making him less hostile towards her. Slowly Alice arose from her chair and began to walk towards the table, she did not seem at all afraid of the man. "But I guess you do not remember all the death was caused together, that is such a pity" she sighed and sat down in a chair on the opposite side from the once she offered Fehade. "have a seat, let's talk. I think it might be interesting to you. Does the name Seth mean anything?" her hand took a small grap from a plate and she tasted it slowly.

Alice? It didn't ring a bell. And he hadn't been to the guild yet since being back, so he didn't hear anything about it. He didn't like the guild. He remembered that clearly. That pathetic place letting rodents stink up the place. Letting people who were barely demons into their halls. But now Fehade had no room to talk. Without his demon infused, he had more human blood through him now, more then ever. But luckily, along with Rraezanon and with his memories, it seemed more of his humanity was taken from him too.

"The name doesn't ring a bell. So I can't say I missed you. Pity. Your a beautiful gal, too, and I can't even remember you. But one thing definitely seems clear. Your not my type at all." Fehade said, frowning, before smirking. Her voice. It was annoying. He lifted a hand to his head, continuing to glare. He hated demons like this one.

But then that name was brought up. Anger flared in his red and blue eyes. The blue one that once belonged to that mans boy toy, Nikki. Instead of sitting down, he started to pace, hands clenching at his hair, frustrated.

"That bastard." He spat, venom dripping off every word as he continued to speak, "I'm gonna kill him. Its all his fault! He sent me to Hell. I've been stuck there for years it feels. I killed him. But he comes back with not even a single scar! I'm going to tear him to pieces."

He stopped moving, and a soft laugh come from him. He ran his hands through his hair- revealing more of his face, and the few scars over it, just as he tilted his head to look over at the woman. A grin was split wide over his face, fanged teeth showing in that smile.

"I think my day just got a bit better..." His hand dropped to his sides again, the long hair falling about his face again. He moved towards the table, and plopped down in the chair, arms folding over his chest as he leaned back. "Got some wine for me? I'm thirsty and your blood wouldn't be satisfying, with you being a demon and all."

One bad habit he got while back from his vacation; he was becoming a bit of a alcoholic. Though alcohol didn't affect him like most. He was capable of drinking and keeping most of his control. Usually what happened was he'd get mood swings, happy one moment, and angry the next, both moods extremely dangerous, being Fehade and all.

He watched the woman with a unblinking gaze, as if trying to figure something out, but whatever that was didn't seem important to him, and he removed his eyes from her and looked around the room briefly.

"The name doesn't ring a bell. So I can't say I missed you. Pity. Your a beautiful gal, too, and I can't even remember you. But one thing definitely seems clear. Your not my type at all."

Alice listened to the words with a slight hint of interesting, she did make a low sound when he said the last part. Oh he really had no clue, if she wanted a man she would get that man. Nothing could stop Alice from getting what she wanted, in itself the world was hers.

Or anyway the male part of it and that was far from small. But as she did not have any words she said nothing at this part of the conversation, she was taking her time to think about it all.

"That bastard.""I'm gonna kill him. Its all his fault! He sent me to Hell. I've been stuck there for years it feels. I killed him. But he comes back with not even a single scar! I'm going to tear him to pieces."

Alice could not help that she smiled at his reaction, the words was so wonderful to her ears. Yes she was happy that she had said Seth's name, it made things all the more interesting. "I thought you would know who he is, so he did all that to you? Yes I am aware of the boys weird ability to...return from the grave." she said this as a comment someone would say when they talked about the weather.

Her hand gently moved over the surface of the table. "To tell you we share a hate for him, I want him to die in the most painful way possible. I was thinking something so cruel it would write it's way into legends." the sorceress made a small pause and smiled a little as her eyes looked to Fehade. "that is why I missed you, you where always s good with finding new ways to kill a person. You have been such an inspiration for me."

"Got some wine for me? I'm thirsty and your blood wouldn't be satisfying, with you being a demon and all."

Alice gave a small nod before she reached for a bottle on the table, she poured some of the red liquid into a goblet and passed it to the man. "There you go handsom" she commented gently. "You would be surprised what I have been able to do with my blood." she said no more to this, but she smiled in a way that told she was not kidding.

"Return from the grave?" He scoffed. "He's even capable of bringing his toy back. Nikkolai... Ooh, I'm going to kill them...Again." Fehade groaned, annoyed. Though, he already had played with Nikki a little bit, even if Seth had interfered once again, but that time had been very fun, he had buried the poor boy alive. If only he had a chance to suffocate. It was a pity.

"I even killed Nikki... I tore his eyes out, broke his frail body, he was barely recognizable when I was done with him... But he's also back, also without a scratch and with both his eyes." Fehade lifted a hand up, touching briefly underneath his one blue eye, the light blue identical to that half-fae's, and it was Nikki's, Fehade had taken in, when his own eye was ripped out.

He hated thinking about his failures. Well, they weren't actually failures. He succeeded in killing both Seth and Nikkolai that day. And he had even destroyed a boys life that day. That boy had looked similar to Nikki, but he couldn't recall his name, he just remembered that he had turned that boy into a vampire that day.

He hated not having all his memories intact. There were so many blank places, replaced with images he didn't know. He barely even remembered his own daughter, Loste.

"Killing Seth in a cruel way would take too much time. If you want him dead, kill him fast before he has time to heal or bring someone back from the grave. I've already been trying to find some ways to kill him." But it didn't help with his decrease in power. He was still very powerful, but with his memories, also went some of his power.

"There you go handsome"

He frowned, annoyed. But he took the goblet, and without any hesitation, took a long drink from it, savoring the taste of the alcohol. He looked over at the woman, his eyes cold as usual.

"What do you want? I was having a rather peaceful evening of dining out for once, until your lackey interrupted. Or was it to just tell me that you missed me? 'Cause, I really don't care, and I'm getting bored, and impatient, and barely restraining myself from loping that pretty little head of yours clean off your shoulders." He said, eyes narrowing.

"Return from the grave?""He's even capable of bringing his toy back. Nikkolai... Ooh, I'm going to kill them...Again."

Alice raised one of her eyebrows when he said this, but she commented nothing at the moment. No she saw no real reason to speak right away, just watching the man when he was going on about his faliurs was kind of fun. Her hand moved to another glass of wine and she took a small sip from it while Fehade was talking. "Not surprised" was the only thing she said for now, after all she was not. Magic could do many things, but there was something Fehade did not think about.

When Fehade began to explaine whe he had done to Nikki the sorceress tilted her head a little to the side, he really took this matter seriously? Well well well that was going to be very useful in the end. His hate made him blind for some very important matters. Once more she moved the glass to her lips for a second sip, she could taste the wine going down her throat.

"Killing Seth in a cruel way would take too much time. If you want him dead, kill him fast before he has time to heal or bring someone back from the grave. I've already been trying to find some ways to kill him."

This little speece made Alice actually laugh a little, then she sighed and shook her head for a moment. "Fehade I will be very seriuous about this matter, since you seem to want them dead." she started and the voice did become more serious, she placed the glass on the table. "The only way I see it possible to really make them defensless is to rip them of there magic. Take the use of magic away from them and there will be nothing they can do to heal wounds. Anti-magic is what you need my dear"

Alice made a pause to let the words sink in a little before she continued. "Your to focused on the material, if it comes to it find a way to trap there souls. If you really want an edhe against Seth then you need to capture Nikkis soul, without it he can never revive the little lover and things will be a piece of cake. Actually..." she tapped herself on the cheek for a moment and smiled a little. "making the dead body of Nikki into an undead after would be rather interesting"

"What do you want? I was having a rather peaceful evening of dining out for once, until your lackey interrupted. Or was it to just tell me that you missed me? 'Cause, I really don't care, and I'm getting bored, and impatient, and barely restraining myself from loping that pretty little head of yours clean off your shoulders."

The Dark lady examined him silently for a few seconds after he had said the last part, she did not reply right away and it was unclear what she was thinking. "If your wish is to make me afraid then I can sadly say it is not working. I am not afraid of you Fehade, I respect you to be sure, your powers are strong and you have a reputation. I wanted to talk to you because there is still a place in the guild for you, your still one of us. Of course we both share the same hate for Seth and we both want him dead. Most likely in a very painful manner both mentaly and physically."
