Welcome to Imythess, the border between dreams and reality. We hope you enjoy your visit.

Imythess is a creative writing board where you narrate the story of a character in the medieval land of Imythess, on the planet Chaon. Each topic is an opportunity for your character to interact with the world and its peoples by cooperatively writing pieces of a story with other members, one post at a time. We call this role-playing, because you assume the identity of your character as if it were your own.

In order to play, you must register an account for each character you would like to write about, and begin their tale by filling out their basic profile information: Race (human, elf, demon, etc.), class (warrior, mage, etc.), physical appearance, and any other personal details you would like to describe. You are also encouraged to come up with some background history information for what your character's life has been like up to the point at which their story in Imythess begins.

There is no approval process or application required to join, so long as you follow the rules then you are free to write whatever character details you choose. Registration is simple, fast, and completely free.

Rysin herd about a mysteriouse village knone for its people the elves and the fact that it is very hard to find, but he was confident because of his uniqe senses. In fact his senses are extremely uniqe because of his origins wich his ancestors are dragons and were very strong. but as for him he was only half so he isnt quite as powerful but hes up there.

as he was walking still searching for that village he heard a sound so he unsheathed his sword and began to listen to the world around him trying to identify the noise maker.

It was a rather cold night, the seasons changing forth made the weather a sort of spinning wheel, you never knew what it would be like. Norwood had good weather most of the time, but tonight the chill seeped in. Being a warm weather person Mirage did not like the cold, and her very thin cloths didnt help the cause. What a night this was going to be. Her plan was to go on over to the tavern in the village, try and warm up by the fire before the night fell to dark, maybe have a nice drink of mead. So she fluttered just a few feet off the ground, wizzing through the forest like the little fairy she was. She was almost there when she heard a noise, the sound of metal.

She flew up just a bit higer and could see a rather odd looking man, he was postioned in the center of some trees with a blade exposed. his face seemed distraught for he was looking around, like he had lost something. being the kind hearted person she is mirage fluttered down to greet the man. Hello there kind sir. You seem a bit lost. May i help you in any way, i am very adept in this area. A wide smile spread across her face as she spoke to the stranger, hoping to get a response from him.

Wolfram did not often go on wild goose chases; which was what looking for an elvish village seemed to be. Rumored to be high in the trees and invisible to those who did not know where to look; recipes for disaster when a man who already suffered poor vision went looking for such things. Still, he stifled his concerns with a simple appreciation of the nature he was moving through; the woods were gorgeous and though there was always danger it was considerably subdued in this area; as opposed to Gloomwood, which he had desperately wanted to explore but common sense won out.

It was by chance he caught a flicker of movement out of the corner of his eye; Wolfram assumed it was simply some insect and was going to continue on when he heard talking not far off. The voice was high but soft, and ever a victim of curiousity he went to explore. Moving as quietly as he could (even at night the forestry had life in it, which made his approach thankfully less obvious), he pressed flat to the trunk of a tree he judged close to the voice. Then he peered out past it, and the sight he saw amazed him!

There was a fairy! Sure the second figure there looked looming and frightening and all, but a fairy! He'd not seen those since he was a child, when he and his friends would try to capture and bottle them (only to set them free after a while, of course! -Well... most of them). The same instinct arose to capture the being so he could study her, but he doubted a sentient creature would appreciate being torn from its home and stuffed in a bottle - not to mention it'd have to be a very large one, given she wasn't exactly as tiny as most fairies tended to be. Perhaps seeking an audience with it might be a better approach?

...But then, there was the problem of the other figure. Wolfram could hardly be said to be eager to engage a clear fighter; he had no fighting skills to speak of and would likely be less able to defend himself than the fairy. At least it had wings going for it. Hm. Maybe he'd just wait here, see if she left the man and then when she did, try and follow her. Yes, that seemed a better plan.
