Costume Contest of '09!

Welcome to Imythess, the border between dreams and reality. We hope you enjoy your visit.

Imythess is a creative writing board where you narrate the story of a character in the medieval land of Imythess, on the planet Chaon. Each topic is an opportunity for your character to interact with the world and its peoples by cooperatively writing pieces of a story with other members, one post at a time. We call this role-playing, because you assume the identity of your character as if it were your own.

In order to play, you must register an account for each character you would like to write about, and begin their tale by filling out their basic profile information: Race (human, elf, demon, etc.), class (warrior, mage, etc.), physical appearance, and any other personal details you would like to describe. You are also encouraged to come up with some background history information for what your character's life has been like up to the point at which their story in Imythess begins.

There is no approval process or application required to join, so long as you follow the rules then you are free to write whatever character details you choose. Registration is simple, fast, and completely free.

The Costume Contest of '09! Its all very simple, and there will be prizes and gold! Rules It has to be a picture of you in your costume. You have from now, October 31st to November 4th. Costumes will be voted on by members, on November 5th. Post the picture of yourself in your costume here. So there's the little rules and everything... Sadly, I don't think I'll be joining in this year, like the past couple years, I have no costume, lol.

The creepy mask is from Venice, we bought it on a trip there last year. The cloak thing with the frills is also from Italy, I forget where. It was either Venice or Florence. Either way, I was aiming for a "Non-FF black mage" kinda' look. The walls are bleeediiiiingggg!! The return of Darth Tertius!! Burn, baby, burn!! ... I feel like I should've posted these on Duo's account. xD

Also, most of this armor is leatherwork, the loose cloth around the mask is cheesecloth, the mask itself we got when it was the last one at Wal*Mart a year or 2 ago, and the chest piece is a spray-painted piece of armor we bought for my original DK costume (which this is an upgraded version of) and I did the purple dragon at the bottom of the chest-piece EDIT: COSTUME ADDITIONS

Originally I was going to make the outfit that Veronna is wearing in the picture, modified to look decent on someone my size, but things ended up going differently. Anri and I made the corset and dress. Well, I only cut the patterns out and she sewed it together, so most of the credit goes to her. Anyways, it was made for our Annual Halloween Boffer Fight/LARP. And surprisingly enough, I didn't rip the dress or the corset up while running around the woods. It was cold out, so I made a scarf to wear and had to put on a long sleeved shirt. I also had the wear jeans under the dress and since it was wet out, I had my chore boots on as well. In the Boffer Fight, there were two teams: The Orange Team and The Purple Team. Each team had a King, or, in this case since both Kings were women, queens. It happen that both Nightwind and I were the queens. This is us. Watch out! I have an attack dog! I wish I had some better pictures...These were the ones Laoura took and her camera isn't the greatest.

It was the mighty Pumpkin Team, and I was the Pumpkin Queen! Btw, everybody, I beat V and her purple team!! Muahahahah. Still got some bragging to do I guess, XD. Anyway, this contest closes tonight at midnight, and we only have three entries so far... people need to dress up more, lolzz.
