| Welcome to Imythess, the border between dreams and reality. We hope you enjoy your visit. Imythess is a creative writing board where you narrate the story of a character in the medieval land of Imythess, on the planet Chaon. Each topic is an opportunity for your character to interact with the world and its peoples by cooperatively writing pieces of a story with other members, one post at a time. We call this role-playing, because you assume the identity of your character as if it were your own. In order to play, you must register an account for each character you would like to write about, and begin their tale by filling out their basic profile information: Race (human, elf, demon, etc.), class (warrior, mage, etc.), physical appearance, and any other personal details you would like to describe. You are also encouraged to come up with some background history information for what your character's life has been like up to the point at which their story in Imythess begins. There is no approval process or application required to join, so long as you follow the rules then you are free to write whatever character details you choose. Registration is simple, fast, and completely free. Create a character now! If you're already a member, you can log into your account below: |

Graham was rather... interested in such a procedure. While the man still put him off slightly, there wasn't much he could lose. His hand wiggled, the carapace of his demon half slowly growing over it, stopping along his wrist. He lifted himself from his seat, moving over to the woman, lifting her up carefully. He followed the sound of the doctor's footsteps, his eyes being held close. He was a bit put off, and a bit anxious all at once. Being able to see again would afford him such a great amount of power, and would allow him to study magics much more tediously, and much more efficiently. There were so many things open if this man wasn't just blowing smoke. He couldn't help but let a toothy smile slither it's way across his face. |

The doctor led him by the hand, humming softly to himself as he dragged the lich to the alleyway, and smiling happily at the bouncers as he left. There was a skip in his step as he moved out of the alleyway, and he fingered the scalpel through his labcoat happily, knowing that this would be one of his crowning acheivements. To bring sight back to the blind, to fix that which many people thought was irrepairable...this was what the doctor lived for, what the doctor craved. Every day he could prove his colleagues wrong, every day he could surpass his own limits, was a day he was glad to be alive. He felt like a god, as his blade slid beneath the flesh, as he began to work on the young-looking man. He felt the fall, felt his frustration peak, as he turned from the child, speaking in a low, soft voice. "I'm sorry. I did what I could, but it wasn't much." He turned, and gave a wan smile. "I'm afraid that in this world, my science can only go so far..." |
