| Welcome to Imythess, the border between dreams and reality. We hope you enjoy your visit. Imythess is a creative writing board where you narrate the story of a character in the medieval land of Imythess, on the planet Chaon. Each topic is an opportunity for your character to interact with the world and its peoples by cooperatively writing pieces of a story with other members, one post at a time. We call this role-playing, because you assume the identity of your character as if it were your own. In order to play, you must register an account for each character you would like to write about, and begin their tale by filling out their basic profile information: Race (human, elf, demon, etc.), class (warrior, mage, etc.), physical appearance, and any other personal details you would like to describe. You are also encouraged to come up with some background history information for what your character's life has been like up to the point at which their story in Imythess begins. There is no approval process or application required to join, so long as you follow the rules then you are free to write whatever character details you choose. Registration is simple, fast, and completely free. Create a character now! If you're already a member, you can log into your account below: |

It was just about late day, the sun was now at its last peak of the world and the clouds over head still seemed as evil as when the storm first hit. but now the darkness of the night sky added to the thrill of the ever changing wheater patterns. The lake in memphian was calm and quiet, nothing roamed around the edge of the water anymore, for the night time stalkers were out and serching for food. But one soul found his place atop the great falls of the lake. Altheree sat on the edge of the falls, his spear strapped to his back and his arrow bundle tied to his waist. He was thinking about the events that were about to come. Later that day his family had been murdered by a set of blood thirsty bandits. They had burned his house down, which in turn killed his parents. And he could not do anything about it. but that was the past, and he would rewrite his future. His plan was to go to the bandit camp set on the edge of this forest, and kill off every single one of them. With this plan set in mind he only braced for what might come. He knew his life was at stake, but he had no choice. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- A hour later altheree landed in the soft undergrowth of the bushes. His wings beat silently as he touched down and took out his spear. The rage in his eyes was so much that anything that caught site of him would be scared out of their mind. But he was on a blood thirsty hunt. He could clearly see the fire burning in the camp area that was set up. it was a small clearing with a few tents and beds set up. Altherees feathers rustled as the wind picked up around him, he was ready and prepared for the worst. his grip tightened on the long spear shaft as he watched out over the camp and took a step, but a noise stopped him. Something from behind him had snapped a twig on the ground and was right behind him. Altheree stopped, and slowly turned around. |

What do you call a man bird? A freak. A stupid one at that. Azura thought of what she thought to be a clever joke as the man landed in front of her. The creature had either not sensed her or had simply not even bothered to look at where he was landing, or so Azura thought, as she calmly strode from her position behind a tree. Azura was only there because she had been hired by a band of merchants, a group known for their lineage. A lineage that linked them to dragons and a multitude of other foul beasts that simply should exist on this plane. The dark paladin had joined the group of bandits as a hired hit man, so that she could become friends with them and gain their trust. Now that she had that, she had all intentions of killing of every single bandit that was left in this stinking and rotting place. However, this birdman would serve as the perfect bait for her plan and undoubtedly, the bird had sub par intelligent and thus, would work perfectly for her subtle trap. "You there," Azura said without drawing a weapon, confident that such a beast would never be able to harm her. It was after all a mutant, something that the gods had always wanted to smite from this earth. |
