Welcome to Imythess, the border between dreams and reality. We hope you enjoy your visit.

Imythess is a creative writing board where you narrate the story of a character in the medieval land of Imythess, on the planet Chaon. Each topic is an opportunity for your character to interact with the world and its peoples by cooperatively writing pieces of a story with other members, one post at a time. We call this role-playing, because you assume the identity of your character as if it were your own.

In order to play, you must register an account for each character you would like to write about, and begin their tale by filling out their basic profile information: Race (human, elf, demon, etc.), class (warrior, mage, etc.), physical appearance, and any other personal details you would like to describe. You are also encouraged to come up with some background history information for what your character's life has been like up to the point at which their story in Imythess begins.

There is no approval process or application required to join, so long as you follow the rules then you are free to write whatever character details you choose. Registration is simple, fast, and completely free.

Kairi took off her cloak and placed it on the ground and took her staff and laid it beside her. She sad on her cloak and looked out onto the crystal blue waters. She loved the sight of water as the sun sun gleamed off of the surface. She laid down on her cloak and looked at the sky, wishing for someone to talk to.

It was starting to get late so he was trying to get out of the forrest to sleep in the clearing near the lake. The ripples of the water were soon visible to Cyrus when he quickly stopped. He could see the silloutte of a person through the ripples of the lake. He moved in and soon saw a young elf with a staff. He bent down and picked up a large rock. Aiming carefully, Cyrus tossed the rock into the water about five feet in front of the sitting girl.

She really hoped that it was just a small fish, eating a bug off of the surface. But she relized that the ripples would not be that big, if it was just a fish. please, oh please let it just be my imagination. Kairi stood and looked around more, griping her staff, as if she was trying to protect her self. W-Who's there? Kairi shouted, hopeing that it was just a child that threw a rock, of that no one would come out.

She seemed so timid and scared from just the toss of a rock. Calm down, I was just messing around. I didnt mean to scare you. Cyrus examined the girl. Her silver hair lead him to believe she was a moon elf. Cyrus's curiosity began to grow. So why are you alone out here by this lake?

For whatever reason, this girl seemed almost scared of him. Cyrus didn't want anyone else to dislike him, so he was going to do his best to make a friend out of this moon elf. This man...strange that he would tell a stranger that he does not even know his name. She heard him say that his name was Cyrus. M-My n-name is K-Kairi. She shyly reached her hand out and gently shook the other elfs hand. She was more nervous now than she ever was, because she was allowing her self to be open to a attack by this man.

No...I'm not...I am from the north. What she told the other elf was somewhat true, she was from the north, but she hasn't been in the north for years since her family disowned her. She was always the shy little black sheep in the family.

He hadnt made many kills recently, so his food was scarse. He returned the turkey and looked at the elf with a smile. I hope you dont mind me asking, but why is it that you left your home in the north. Ive heard its very nice there. Cyrus began to walk slowely and motioned for the elf to join him. It was a nice day. A day to make a friend.

I left because....I got bored. Kairi tried to keep her voice even, trying to hide the fact that she lied about leaving her home in the north. The true reason was because her family disowned her, and sentenced her to never come back to their village in the north. The mark on her back was proof that she was a outcast to almost every Moonelf that was born and raised into the same village as herself.
