Imythess is a creative writing board where you narrate the story of a character in the medieval land of Imythess, on the planet Chaon. Each topic is an opportunity for your character to interact with the world and its peoples by cooperatively writing pieces of a story with other members, one post at a time. We call this role-playing, because you assume the identity of your character as if it were your own. In order to play, you must register an account for each character you would like to write about, and begin their tale by filling out their basic profile information: Race (human, elf, demon, etc.), class (warrior, mage, etc.), physical appearance, and any other personal details you would like to describe. You are also encouraged to come up with some background history information for what your character's life has been like up to the point at which their story in Imythess begins. There is no approval process or application required to join, so long as you follow the rules then you are free to write whatever character details you choose. Hollis watched as AD climbed the wall. Then, just as AD got the 1st egg, there was a thundering roar in the air. "RRROOOAAARRRR!!!!!" " I think that we better hurry up, Aether. Didn't you hear that?" Said Hollis " I want to get out of here. You know how much I hate going to new places. I much per fore to be home and in a safe place that I know a huge monster won't come and try to eat me. So, yeah, can we go yet?" Thought Jasmine. In any case of them leaving at that time, not a very safe idea. For you see the drake came in and started to run at them like a mad bull running someone. I guess it thought that it heard someone coming to go and get its eggs or something. So, out of protection of its eggs, it decided to came and charge at the thing in its nest. " RRRRRRROOOOOOAAAAARRRRRRR!!!!!" " You know what, I think that I am as right as I have ever been. Lets leave now." " You know what, I think that it is time that we get out of this part of the cave now, AD. What do you think? Jasmine is also not liking being here one little bit. I mean with the drake coming and every thing. But, she also doesn't like new places a whole lot either. " Well. in any case, Jasmine started to leave at that very moment in time. Hollis wanted to wait and make sure that her new-found sister got down from the wall safely. So, Hollis just backed away from the wall a little, just to get a better view of how high AD was. " Is there anything that I can do to help you get down at all AD?" " Jasmine get your butt back here at this very moment. We aren't leaving without AD coming with us." Thought Hollis to Jasmine. "I never said anything about leaving, I just got uot of the way of that big monster-drake thing coming this way. I think that it would be a good idea for you two to do the same thing" |

AD looked over her shoulder at Hollis when she called out to AD. She cursed softly under her breath and snatched up a second egg. Sliding it into her pouch she turned around so her back was to the nest. Just then, the drake let out a huge bellowing fog from it's maw. The thick sleeping mist coated the area and AD saw Turin fall out of the air as he fell asleep. She reached out and caught his limp form. Holding the sleeping fly dragon close, AD hopped down, rolling when she landed to protect Turin and the eggs. She stayed close to the ground. She thought she saw Hollis and her familer fall asleep too, but she wasn't sure. She felt odd. Heavy, but something was tugging at her mind and it annoyed her. So AD lay down on her stomich and cast shield on Hollis so she wouldn't be harmed. The fog was starting to clear and AD waited a moment for the drake to move. It seemed to be waiting for the fog to clear also. She hoped that Hollis was alright. That and her foot had almost been twisted with the landing. She could feel it throbbing just a bit as she lay on the ground pretending to be asleep also. |

Just as AD got down from the wall, a strange mist had come over them all. What the heck? Why did the drake put this weird mist on the ground. Hollis started to fell really tried all of a sudden. She was wide awake before, but now. Hollis decided to lay down for a minute, to see if the mist would go away. But, then she yawned for no reason. Then, there was a odd noise. It sounded like AD had hit the ground. Hollis hoped that the every thing was okay, but mostly AD. Then, there was a sound of something that had rolled on the ground, closer to her. Hollis looked and it was just AD. Then, it looked sort of like AD was casting a sort of shield over Hollis and herself. Then, Hollis blacked out. Next thing that Hollis know, she was dreaming. But it felt so real. Hollis and AD had woken up, no harm had been done to them. They had just be taken up the the Drakes nest. The Drake had been watching them for when they had arisen. It looked as though the other had come well they had been asleep. The other Drake looked almost just like the first one. When Hollis and AD had woken up, the Drakes started to get really mad at them. So, Hollis did the first thing that popped into her mind: She ran. Hollis didn't get very far though. But, just as the Drake picked her up, Hollis woke with a start. Staring, right into her eyes was..., Jasmine? Jasmine had woken up earlier, and wanted to go take a look around, just to bring back the Drake for round two. |

AD frowned. This wasn't going to work well. She saw that there was actually two drakes in here, the fist one was a bit bigger then the second one that showed. They ignored her and Hollis as they started moving the eggs from the nest and going off with them. She didn't want to wait for them to come back. There had to be some way to sneak out with Hollis before the drakes realized that any eggs were missing. She moved slowly over to Hollis along the ground, moving only when the drakes wouldn't see her do so. She was wondering how best to move them all out of here when Turin woke and AD had to let him go. He flew up and shook his head to clear it. Just then Hollis' familiar hopped on the girl's chest and she woke too. AD knew that the first drake, the one Hollis thought was a female, was on it's way back. So Aether Draka stood and offered a hand to Hollis. "Ok, now it's time for you to run. Don't wait for me, I'll catch up with you once you get outside. Turin, follow her and show her the right way out." AD looked up at Turin before sighing and starting off on the way out. Just then, the drake noticed they were awake and took a deep breath. "Run! Now!" AD ordered and pushed Hollis towards Turin before turning to face the Drake as another bellow of foggy sleeping gas rolled through the cave towards them. She was going to give the beast a surprise when the fog cleared and she was still standing. AD couldn't sleep, it didn't work, ever... |

After Hollis had woken up, AD told her that it was time for her to run. " But...But... But what about you. How can I just leave the sister that I have been looking for for a really long, and just let her take on these really big Drakes? I am not going to do that, no way. I well go and stand behind this wall, and when it looks like you might need some help, I well come out and help. I don't care what you say. I just found, I am not going to lose you again."" Are going crazy?!?! If we stay here, we are going to get killed. I don't think that I want to die in a cave, thank you very much. " " Well, I am not going to just let her take of this all by her self if I can help it. I well help, even if it is the last thing that I do. I don't care what you guys say. I well, I am going to help her. " Thought Hollis. And, no matter what happens, she is gong to help AD get out of here. When she said that she wanted to run, she meant every one runs at the same time. Not that two or three of the group members run at once, they all run at once. So, Hollis runs over to the corner of the wall, and watched what happened when the mist had cleared up... |

Turin flew away down the passage and saw Hollis wasn't following. He turned about and flew back to the young woman. Hovering in front of her as he spoke telepathically into Hollis' mind. <Come on, AD is going to shadowjump away, like telaporting. It won't be able to follow her. Come quickly, she's waiting for us to get outside!> As the mist cleared, AD stood with her dagger in one hand and a single card in the other. She held the card before her and cast out her hand as magic filled the air. Ribbons of shadow curled out of AD's own shadow and snatched the card, bubbled on the crystal floor like a living thing before four dogs appeared. "Attack!" AD ordered, pointing at the drake. The dogs blinked out of existence and back into it without traveling the space between before nipping at the drake. Her four summoned Blink Dogs would be enough to keep both drakes busy until Hollis was clear of the cave. AD was just waiting for Turin to let her know they were out. Turin was urging Hollis to run, moving down to the path leading to the way he knew was out. He needed her to understand AD was just distracting them and would be outside by the time they got out there or really close to it, it was hard to explain something like that to someone who had not seen how AD did things. |

Hollis turned and followed the small dragon out of the cave, even though she didn't want to. There was something inside of her that told her that she would be better off if she was there any longer, though what, she didn't know. Hollis followed the dragon outside to find out that it had gone dark in the time it had taken her to find it all. Jasmine, trialling behind with happiness on her face , thought to Hollis "Hey the worst case is that you got to see her before she died, right? I mean, come on. Isn't that all the movies end. You finally find your sister, and then something happens that spites the two of you up. Next thing you know is that you hear a scream, and some how you know that it was her. So, come on, you finally got to meat her, right? And you have no idea how happy I am t be out of there." Jasmine want and found a nice piece of ground to try and sleep on. " I guess so. But, I mean, there is that one out of like, fifty that lives.... If she is like how I think that she is, she well make it out of there ok. She well, I know that she well." As they got to a place to rest for a minute, Hollis could see that it would be a long night for them. There was something that was wrong with all of this in Hollis mind. How come she found AD so fast? As the day want though her mind, she figured it out. But, how was it that she had not know about her before now? Why did her parents keep a secret from her that she had a sister? Hollis well fine soon. "Turin, how did you and AD meet?" Hollis wanted to find out as much as she could about the two of them. What was it that made Turin flow AD where ever she want? Then, almost as soon as they had gotten out there... |

AD had to dodge the second drake as it came charging into the cavern. She rolled away and got back to her feet as fast as she could. About then she got the message from Turin that they were outside. The blink dogs would keep the drakes busy for a bit. so AD started to cast orb of darkness as the second drake breathed another fog of sleeping gas. AD coughed on it this time, feeling tired but unable to physically sleep. She managed the spell as the blink dogs fell asleep and went into the orb so that she could shadowjump outside. Turin perched on a branch near Hollis and said, <I met AD on the beach north of Taras City over 4 years ago. She seemed to be all by herself and was trying to get away from something. I decided to help her out and found out she could speak draconic. We became rather good friends.> ((OOC: I think we are done but I don't know for sure.)) |
