Imythess is a creative writing board where you narrate the story of a character in the medieval land of Imythess, on the planet Chaon. Each topic is an opportunity for your character to interact with the world and its peoples by cooperatively writing pieces of a story with other members, one post at a time. We call this role-playing, because you assume the identity of your character as if it were your own. In order to play, you must register an account for each character you would like to write about, and begin their tale by filling out their basic profile information: Race (human, elf, demon, etc.), class (warrior, mage, etc.), physical appearance, and any other personal details you would like to describe. They were giving people a chance to look doe Drakes! It was so incredible! AD had been so excited about it that she signed her and Turin up, not caring if the stuffy people running the thing wanted them to have two adventures. She just never told them that Turin was a tiny fly dragon. She told them he was a magic user and her best friend. Both was true. She then ran off to the Crystal Caves in hopes of finding a rare drake there. She looked at the falls for a moment before making her way behind them. The sun was just lightening the sky and the crystals here were still so very light and shimmering. AD grinned and reached in her bag to wake Turin. The fly dragon wrapped around her fingers and she pulled him out. She stroked his head with her finger tip and grinned as he gave a big yawn. ((OOC: in the cave btw)) |

"What should I do? I am so board? Hey wait a moment... What is this. Drakes? What are they? Well, I suppose the only way to find out is, well, to do it." Hollis had been wondering around, looking for something to do. When she a "Drake finding" thing. So, she decided to go and look at it. She was looking at the list and saw a name. A name that she saw more then all the others."Aether Draka!" Hollis was soo surprised! " That is what I am going to do... Oh man, it is for two pairs. Wait... I could use my cat as my partner. Right, Jasmine. Oh look, she is going to the Crystal Caves. Well, what do u say, Jassy"" You want to know what I say? I say we do it! It sounds like fun! Like a...a...a ohh whatya call um...a...a..., Scavenger hunt! That is it! Lets do it! Lets go for the gold!"Jasmine was a small cat with white underneath her and bright orange on the top of her head and on her back, her whole tail was orange to. And, with the two of them decided that they were, as Jasmine said, "Going for the Gold", So, Hollis signed her and Jasmine to go find a Drake and a Draka. |

Aether Draka walked down the main pathway into the caves and followed the twisting and turning of the shimmering place. She turned a few corners and then glanced back. "I sure hope we can navigate out of here. I would have to cover up a large section of these crystals to shadow jump out." AD spoke softly to Turin. <I'm keeping track.> the fly dragon promised telepathically, speaking in just AD's mind, <We will be fine. Just keep an eye out for a Drake. If we are very careful then we won't get hurt.> "I'm not scared of a drake, no matter how big or small it is." AD replied. She dealt with demons and angels and all sorts of otherworldly monsters, something native to Imythess was not something she was at all worried about. There was no reason for her to be worried. It wasn't like it would be easy for some huge beast to hide in such a well lit place. She just had to be in the right place at the right time to see it. |

Moving as fast as they could to keep up with Aether, Hollis and Jasmine soon found the Crystal Cave."How far do you think she is in there, Hollis? Depending on what is with her, she might be really far down in there. Right?"" You might be right. But I don't care. We have to go down there. You ready? 'Cause I am so not. But we got to. Come on. Lets go" So, they went inside the cave. Wanting more to find Aether Draka, then anything."I wonder what would happen if someone yield something. Try it.""I'd rather. Who really knows what is in there? Some monster could come out of no where if I did that. SO yeah, no. "Wait...Did u hear that?" There was a odd sound, kind of like, someone talking to something. |

With Turin's assurance that they would not get lost, AD continued down the wide crystal covered passage, her eyes darting over the shimmering surfaces for something that wasn't a crystal. She came into a larger opening and looking up she saw what looked like a bundle of some sort, like someone had tried to climb up there and dropped their bag. Even though she couldn't see what she was really looking at, it was in fact a drake's nest. She took a few steps back and looked around the softly glowing room. there didn't seem to be anything else in here. Just that thing caught on the crystals above her head. Perhaps she should try and get up there. Would climbing be quiet enough? She knelt down and spoke to Turin again. "Turin, you know where we are, right?" <Yes.> He replied telepathically in her mind. <But what ever you have planned, I think you should know that I'm almost positive we are being followed.> AD's eyes went wide and she looked behind them, where Turin had been watching. Was it the Drake? Had it been hunting outside or something when she arrived here? Did it know she was here and was making sure she wasn't up to anything? Was it something else entirely? Making up her mind to find out about the thing following her first before she tried to see the thing up above her (the nest), she pulled out her dagger and held it backwards, so the flat of the blade was against her arm from her wrist to her elbow. Staying low and close to the wall, she silently made her way back along the path. She heard a sound and paused. Holding her breath, she waited to see what it was. |

Hollis and Jasmine made their the cave. Keeping a look out for the Drake, or the Draka. Then, there came a noise that sounded like a person moving quickly to the side of the wall. "What was that? I think that that might of been her. What do you think, Jasmine?" "I think that you might be right. What are you doing? In my mind, I think that we should just stay here and wait for her or that thing to come out, not have us go to it. Right?" Jasmine was scared of a lot of stuff. Mostly, surprises. " I think we should go and find out what it is that made that sound. And, I am in charge of you, so, we go." They went into the room and... |

AD frowned slightly as she saw a young woman dressed in white talking to her cat. Well, the talking to other creatures was not unusual at all. What was unusual was the fact that they were clearly looking for some 'her'. She tipped her head to the side, puzzled by this. As they came in the room, AD stood up smoothly, keeping her left arm slightly behind her so whomever this was would not see her dagger. Keeping her emerald eyes on the stranger she spoke softly, still sure that there had to be some type of drake here and not wishing to scare it off. "Can I help you?" She had no idea who this stranger was. If her and her cat were looking for the same thing AD was, perhaps they could team up. <Aether, I think... maybe.> Turin left AD's shoulder, flying through the air like a tiny copper dart, though circling around the young woman with odd hair and her cat. He paused, hovering in front of Hollis' face for a moment before zipping back towards AD. He pondered over what he suspected for a long moment. It didn't make much sense unless what AD thought she knew about her long gone family wasn't exactly true. It wouldn't surprise him though. |

" Maybe... I am looking for two things right now. My sister, Aether Draka, and a Drake. Do you know where either of them are? Oh, and by the way hi, I am Hollis Draka, and you are? That was a very good question. Who was that? "i think that we should just turn around and go away now. We do not know if this women is safe or not. We should not be telling her what we are doing. " " Wait a second.....there was no other name on the list. Which means that...........Oh my god." Whispered Hollis. " Are Aether Draka, Miss? Asked Hollis, definitely think that she already know what the answer was. She had to be, there was no other explanation to her being here. None at all. " RRRROOOOOOOOOAAAAAAAAAAARRRRRRRRR!" " I think that that might of been a the Drake. What do you think." That was the Drake all right. And it sounded like it was coming there way. " I also think that it might be a good idea to run, right about now. What do you think, Hollis?" " Yeah... I think that we should RUN right about now to. RRUUUUNNNNN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! |

Aether Draka looked at the girl in surprise. Her sister... Aether Draka had a sister? Hollis Draka. A sister. AD had a sister. She was shocked and had no idea what to say. She didn't even know how this girl was related to her, but with the way she spoke it didn't seem like a lie. Then a sound rang through the caves, loud an clear. "RRRROOOOOOOOOAAAAAAAAAAARRRRRRRRR!" AD stiffened, bringing her dagger before her defensively and looking for the source of the sound. With all the echos it was too hard to do though. She reached out her hand and caught hold of Hollis' arm before she could take off. She gave the girl a yank so Hollis was forced to move between AD and the crystal wall. Aether Draka didn't care is the young woman managed to keep her feet or not. "Don't speak, don't move. No sound." AD said in a sharp whisper and drew her blade of illusions, holding it in her right hand before her. The magic of the blade went to work, creating the illusion of the pair of them running off deeper into the cave and making where they were seem just like they weren't there. Hollis would feel like she was completely invisible while AD looked around for the drake. Turin rose into the air then, flying toward the object above their heads. He landed on the edge of the drake's nest and crouched down to look inside it. He saw many eggs curled up in all sorts of plants and undergrowth. He didn't see any drake there though. |

Why in the world this stranger had grabbed Hollis was behind her. Now, Hollis saw what looked like a copy of her running in to the rest of the cave like place. "RRRRRRROOOOOOOOOOOAAAAAAAAAAARRRRRRRRRRR.... rrrrroooooaaaaarrrrr!!!! There it was. The Big looking Drake. Big, scary looking, and it was looked like it was looking for its eggs or something. The Drake want over to where the little dragon had gone. " He needs to get down from there or he is going to die or something. And why in the world did you grab me like that? Also, what was with the copies of us running into the rest of the cave?And...Who in the, wait I already said that, who are you? Wait are you who I think that you are?"At this point, Hollis thought that it might be a good idea for her to shut up. Which was probably a good one, because at that very moment... The Drake was coming right to them. It was an inch away from there faces when it decided to leave. " Do you think it would be a good idea to leave and come back here in a little while? I mean go and explore the cave." At this point, Hollis would have done anything to be anywhere but where she was. So, she seat there and waited for this...this... this new women to answer her questions, now, or later. Hollis wanted to know really bad about this person. |

Aether Draka was not about to run from a drake and didn't know why Hollis was going to run if she came here to find a drake. Besides, it was smaller then a dragon, so AD didn't think it seemed that big. She looked at Turin who flew over to the drake and landed on it's nose. The drake tried to cross it's eyes and couldn't, so it shook it's head, causing Turin to take to the air again. "It couldn't hurt Turin if it tried." AD whispered with a grin and sat down. She set the magical blade across her knees, glad that it was powerful enough to keep them from being unseen and it had clearly threw the drake off. "I created an illusion, it doesn't know we are here. Be careful and keep your voice down, because the magic won't catch everything and you might give us away." AD was grinning. This was fun. This young woman, whoever she was, had a lot of questions just like AD often did. She didn't seem to have as much control over them as AD did so she was going to have to teach her the game of questions! It was AD's favorite game and she was thrilled at the idea of teaching someone it. "My name is Aether Draka, though most people call me AD. I'm hear to find out about this drake and get an egg to give to those people in the planes. If I leave I won't be able to find out what this drake does, what it eats, and where eggs might be. We don't even know if this is a male or female drake and if there are eggs anywhere. Do you know how to tell if it's a boy or a girl?" AD grinned at Hollis. She would figure out how this stranger thought she was related to Aether Draka in a bit. For now she was keeping an eye on the drake. The drake was getting board with Turin and was ignoring the fly dragon now as it started on it's way down where AD had scent the illusions of her and Hollis running. |

Hollis had finally found her long lost sister. She wasn't going to let this moment pass her up. She was going to learn as much about her as she could in the time that they had. She had so many questions going though her head, she didn't know where to start. So, she just seat down and stop talking. She seat there for a long time, thinking about what she had just learned. She watched as the small dragon played with the Drake. How was it that she had found her sister and the Drake at the same time. At that same moment, Hollis, decided to go get a closer look at the Drake. Maybe, if it was the same as all other animals in other places... maybe. So, she got up close to the Drake. " What the heck do you think that you are doing, Hollis? You are going to get your self killed of you do what I think that you are doing. Are you.... Doing what I think that you are doing?" Thought Jasmine. " You well have to see, Jassy"Thought Hollis. What was she looking for anyways??? Its..... Male parts???? Well, the good thing is that Hollis didn't see anything. Which, means that it is a girl, thankfully. |

AD watched Hollis for a bit, her head tipped to the right. What was she trying to do? Dragons didn't have any sort of external parts to determine if they were male or female, neither did Fly Dragons like Turin or as far as AD knew, did any Drakes or any sort of reptile she had ever known. She shook her head slightly and focused on the illusions from her sward to make sure the drake didn't notice the young woman. Only way AD knew how to tell if one was a boy or a girl was to ask the large creatures. She wasn't about to do that with a drake. After the drake became board with them and left after her illusions of Hollis and herself, AD stood and dusted off her clothing. Turin came over to her, coming to a stop just in front of her. AD offered her hand for him to land on and he took the offer. <It's a female. She is waiting for her mate to return so that she can eat.> Turin informed AD telepathically. AD nodded and then looked up at the Dragon's nest. Turin said there was quite a few eggs there, which made AD think that both Hollis and her could take one each back to the rangers. Still looking up the crystal wall AD asked, "So Hollis, are you good at climbing?" |

" I am an "ok" climber. Whhhyyyyno... No why. I am not going to climb up there to get the egg. Maybe you could go get them and pass them down to me and I could help keep them safe well you get them and get back down??? And see, after that, we could go and get out and we could get to know a bit more about each other. What do you say to that???" Said Hollis hope in her eyes as full as it could be. Hollis might have been an ok climber, if it won't for the fact that she has an irrational fear of climbing rock-type walls. (( OOC It is as long story, not fully done, so it well be for another post )) Hollis decided to explain her reason for not wanting to climb up the wall to AD because the look that she gave Hollis. " And that is way I don't like to climb up rock walls. So, what do you think of my idea. I am sure that it would work if you just let me try it. Please..." " I am not sure that that is such a good idea. I mean, come on. You get so curios. I can just see you getting it and getting to into looking at, not paying attention, and getting something hart. I can just see it happening. Trust me." |

AD looked at Hollis for a moment, listening while she explained. Then Aether Draka gave a shrug. "Just keep watch then. Holler if the drake comes back in here." AD told Hollis, then sheathed her blade and put back inside the pouch on her hip, something clearly too small to hold it, but somehow it fit anyways. She walked over to the wall and looked up for a moment before reaching up and grasping the edge of crystal. The stone was surprisingly warm, but not too much so. With the rest of the room so cool it seemed a little strange. She pulled her self up after finding a foothold and then started her climb, getting her hand and foot holds carefully as to not slide on the smooth edge of the crystals. After a moment, AD had reached the nest. The fact that it was a nest was clear as soon as she wasn't trying to look up at it. She saw six small eggs in the nest and smiled softly as she reached out towards them. They felt warm too. She better keep them in a safe place. Her pouch would be best. She curled her hand about one egg and held it up to see it better. Then she slid it in her pouch. She then reached for a second egg, knowing Hollis would need one too. ((OOC: My 8th post, next will be Hollis' 8th. Three more posts each after that and we have our Medium Drake!  And Hollis, please type up the explanation. Long posts are a good thing!!!)) |
