Welcome to Imythess, the border between dreams and reality. We hope you enjoy your visit.

Imythess is a creative writing board where you narrate the story of a character in the medieval land of Imythess, on the planet Chaon. Each topic is an opportunity for your character to interact with the world and its peoples by cooperatively writing pieces of a story with other members, one post at a time. We call this role-playing, because you assume the identity of your character as if it were your own.

In order to play, you must register an account for each character you would like to write about, and begin their tale by filling out their basic profile information: Race (human, elf, demon, etc.), class (warrior, mage, etc.), physical appearance, and any other personal details you would like to describe. You are also encouraged to come up with some background history information for what your character's life has been like up to the point at which their story in Imythess begins.

There is no approval process or application required to join, so long as you follow the rules then you are free to write whatever character details you choose. Registration is simple, fast, and completely free.

Rith was annoyed with the most recent events. His plans for the Shadow Society had Thwarted at nearly every step. Draco's return came sooner than plans could be initiated, Jaka wasn't well received upon his return, there was unexpected interference that prevented changes from being made in time, and to top it all off Jaka blew his lid and got himself banned from returning to the guild. There were a number of successes, but they were few compared to the magnitude of the failures. The actor wasn't entirely to blame and his attempt fix things. Things would improve if Draco took up Jaka's offer, but if not Rith would merely have to meet with Draco personally and probably make sure to repercussions of Draco's actions were notable.

Berko Garnet was today's playmate. Hopefully playtime wouldn't be interrupted like before, but Lust had no control over that. Berko Garnet was contacted and informed of a lucrative business venture. This was entirely true, though in a way so was Gabe being summoned by his 'secret admirer'. Lust gazed into the mirror of the private room wondered how Berko Garnet and Herbert felt about being called to the Pirate's Cove. It made logical sense for her offer. Any one with power, gold and an interest in seafaring would no doubt would have ties to the Cove, particularly now that Taras was not but a lost figment of a dream.

The small office would suffice for their meeting place. Lust was dressed of course for the occasion. A dark-skinned human with an athletic build and trendy clothes that were both befitting of a business meeting in the cove, but also quite attractive. The guards at the door of the small, yet extravagant building would of course see Berko Garnet in and prohibit the entrance of all others, save Derethal should he have chosen to discard his role much too so.

Herbert had transported himself to a small shack with his portal gem as he did not feel that his time was needed on traversing the globe like an average merchant. Berko would have approved seeing as it was quicker and thus, would be able to do more business. So Berko, the tall black business man, moved out of the shack, moving with a purpose through the streets. The only object that anyone would identify as wealthy was the beautifully embroidered bag at the black man's hip.

Berko moved to the building that had been specified in the letter and moved into the building at a brisk pace as he did not want anyone to mess with this very lucrative business plan. He was dressed in a fine black suit today, with dark red underlaying colors in the suit's color and the tie.

"I am here for a meeting."

"The door at the end of the hallway, Mr. Garnet," The guard nodded before stepping aside. The hallway was lined with with various niceties on display just to show off wealth. Extravagant, but Lust found it necessary and Rith agreed. Past the marvelous paintings, beautiful statues, and glorious golden trinkets was the door which equally impressive.

"Ah, Berko Garnet. It is a pleasure to meet you. You look simply dashing," Lust grinned as she leaned against the front of the large desk, partially supporting herself he hands which also rested on the desk. "Take a seat if you wish," She said as she gestured to the chair in front of her.

"I am Lady Aria Searis, but you may call me Aria. Are you a big strong man capable of protecting yourself as I've heard? The job's a little dangerous," Lust said as she crossed her legs.

Herbert and Berko Garnet were both equally impressed by the immense riches that lined the hallway and the following room that the pair entered. A single chair sat before an ornate desk where a beautiful lady who had already announced herself as the woman who was to hire Berko's talents.

"Yer lady highness, thankys for t'compliments an'I got te'connections to keep me live and well," Berko said with a bow, before taking his seat in front of the lady. The chair was just as nice as the rest of the room and it was incredibly comfy to sit in. However, a slight whisper across the passage ways of the mind warned Herbert that not all was real. However, today, unlike his time with Gabe he chose to play along as he did not feel threatened.

"Just Aria will be fine," Lust smiled, annoyed with the formality. How was she supposed to have her fun if their business was to be kept entirely professional? A small matter though as she could always schedule another meeting with Gabe. She would worry about it more later.

"But, as I was saying. There is something on the mainland that I simply must have. For that reason I am assembling a small group to join my associate, Sarro, on the expedition deep in Calmonah woods. I can not say much about the details as of yet, but you will be provided with supplies for the trip and have a three or four adventurers joining the expedition as well. There will be plenty of loot for everyone. Your job in particular will be to keep an eye out for what is truly valuable. There will be many treasures, but only so many can be carried safely back. I've been told you have a good eye for riches and work well with people," Lust explained. The 'job' was hardly the reason why Herbert would be joining them, but she could explain that in greater detail to Herbert later.

"Naturally, you will be keeping the majority of what you carry back, if not all of it." She pondered if she should continue with the details or try to get a little playtime out of him first. Decisions... Decisions.

"I am quites good at that," Berko said with a wink that meant more than just that he would accept the job. It conveyed the idea that he knew that there were many more layers of intrigue beneath such a simple search mission. Berko wanted all the details though as he would not just follow along this mysterious creatures orders like some sheep to a shepherd.

"No more details for me?" Berko said, looking right in to the woman's eyes without a hint of anything of than the need to finish the deal and begone.

Smarter than one would guess by his accent. She could see it in his eyes. She could feel it in his curiosities that desired to be sated. His words and desires left room open for a little bit of playtime and Lust wasn't one to care much for the word 'no'. "Maaaaybe...," Lust teased playfully as she stood.

"I think I might barter a few more details for a kiss," Lust mused as gave him a seductive grin. It of course wouldn't just be one simple kiss. A proper kiss as an snowball rolling down a snowy hill and lead to bigger and better things. She wondered if the professional guise would fall and how long it would take. It was always interesting to one crack under pressure.

"I thoughts I was heres for da business, madame, not no prositutions," Berko said, figuring that this was some trap set up by who ever was masterminding this whole operation. Sadly, Berko would not fall for such open invitations at failure but eventually, just like any man, he would succumb to the power that was lust.

"Madame, I'da like mores information please but I wont be given no love just to get it," Berko said as he was not the type of man who would stop that low to gain knowledge or money. While he was an economical mastermind, that did not include using underhanded tactics to create economical success.

"Prostitutions?" Lust repeated, annoyed with the word. It along with everything else he said was pretty much a joy kill. She could probably recover from that point, but was no longer in the mood to do so. The third time would half to be the charm.

"Next week then, shall been when you get them," Lusted shrugged almost apathetically, yet it was still clear she was annoyed.

"Derethal, however will receive them now," She continued as she walked behind the desk and sat down. No doubt his name would be enough to make him regain his control.

"Ah see, today it is you who breaks the fun? But I can tell you are not even having fun because Berko is some what of a prude but never the less, I assume that it is not just you who wants me here today," Herbert said, removing some of the more annoying parts of his costume such as the black paint that he wiped away from his face with a piece of spare cloth. His mask was already on his face by the time anyone could even begin to look at his face as that was one of those items of intrigue.

"Because, no offense to you, you simply enjoy entreatment to have such slopping plans with no immediate pay out but if you are not ready to relinquish your masters name at least inform me of the rest of this plot."

Oh and now he wanted to mock her too? "I was getting to the pay out. I just wanted a little fun first was all," Lust retorted childishly as she crossed her arms and looked away.

"A name? You know very well how useless a name can be at times," Rith said emotionlessly from behind Herbert. There was no warning of his arrival aside from the sound of his voice.

"Our apologies for Jaka. The device was not entirely finished and unexpected interference, held it up to long to be of use in the mansion. Sad loss but no one without hope of recovery," came and solemn female voice. Beside the tall robed figure with features obscured by an impenetrable darkness stood a charming lady dressed in a dress of black feathers.

"I am Misery and this is the Lord of Whispers," The woman introduced after Herbert had ample time round.

"The Lord of Whispers, I dear say that I have never even heard a whisper about you," Herbert said as he turned about. While Herbert was not sure whether the man in front of him was referring to his ways of taking over other people's names and thus their lives or rather that he was Herbert, not Derethal but that was a task for another time. Today, he had to become acquainted with the one who had been controlling his quests for quite some time.

"As for names, I must oblige that names do mean very little but on the subject of Jaka, I have a completly different idea. Of late, Jaka has met a few other undeads who are rather unhappy with the overall ideas of the illustrious guild named Shadow Society. Many things are moving, Whispers, that may come to be very profitable," Herbert said slyly.

"As for you, Misery, are you like your counterpart, Lust, and only seem to enjoy the emotions behind your name?"

"Doesn't that make our names truer than others?" Misery mused. No doubt later they would find out why their names were indeed so true.

"Some names reach only select circles. I am unsurprised you have not heard of me till now," Rith replied, amused that this too was something Herbert could relate with.

I have seen your dealings with Jaka and I am pleased. I had not expected favorable events out of him so soon. You have performed excellently so far, as such your rewards need to be adjusted. Consider the excursion a test of sorts. When you pass, You will have reached thee doorway to a whole new world of secrets, as you can expect though it also marks the proverbial point of no return," Rith explained.

"The point of no return? Sounds quite scary but trust me I have gone to many points of no return when I mercilessly killed people and ravaged their souls to the extent that even the after life can not be hospitable to them," Herbert said with a glare as he did not like the patronizing tone and way of the Lord of Whispers. Herbert had been under the most likely false impression that the Lord of Whispers would be Herbert's ally rather than his leader but either way, Herbert would probably stick around the Lord for a bit. He was simply too much fun for the time being as it gave something for Herbert to do with each and every character he was currently playing.

"You treat me as dog who must do missions to be rewarded but I am none to fond of it. However, you entertain me to much for that to scorn my position in your eyes," Herbert said as he flopped down on the only chair after he used his mind to turn it about so that he could face the Lord rather than lust.

"Please do explain this mission."

"A dog? Noooo.... the reward is so much sweeter than a meaty bone. If you were comparable to a dog in my designs you would most certainly not know my name. You will come to understand that well in time," Rith replied in what almost seemed a laugh.

"There is a large deposit of dark matter in the Calmonah woods, it lies deep inside but it is well protected in hostile territory. The primary purpose of this expedition is to remove obstacles in the way. There are a few trinkets to be picked up along the way, but freeing up the dark matter is the top priority. Your other companions will be oblivious to these designs. They will think their rewards are to be found in the fortification and so they shall be. We can't be sure that exactly what we are up against, but there is no doubt that great riches lie inside waiting, more than enough to appease the hired help," Misery explained. There was little harm of mentioning dark matter. Few knew what it was, less knew what it could, do and finding one that could use it appropriately was not an easy find to say the least.

(Bleh it's late sue me)
