| Welcome to Imythess, the border between dreams and reality. We hope you enjoy your visit. Imythess is a creative writing board where you narrate the story of a character in the medieval land of Imythess, on the planet Chaon. Each topic is an opportunity for your character to interact with the world and its peoples by cooperatively writing pieces of a story with other members, one post at a time. We call this role-playing, because you assume the identity of your character as if it were your own. In order to play, you must register an account for each character you would like to write about, and begin their tale by filling out their basic profile information: Race (human, elf, demon, etc.), class (warrior, mage, etc.), physical appearance, and any other personal details you would like to describe. You are also encouraged to come up with some background history information for what your character's life has been like up to the point at which their story in Imythess begins. There is no approval process or application required to join, so long as you follow the rules then you are free to write whatever character details you choose. Registration is simple, fast, and completely free. Create a character now! If you're already a member, you can log into your account below: |

It was a peaceful day Tracyn intended to spend relaxing by the soothing sounds of the Mephian Falls. He was on a journey to reach Seth at the waterfall city to see this guild hall he had heard mention of, and he was growing close. Yet for now he wished to rest before setting out yet again. A book was propped open between his legs as he casually read with his feet submerged below cool waters. The water lapped at the shoreline he found himself on and beauty awaited him any time he wished to look up to the grand falls. It was such a perfect day, and nothing could do it wrong. The particular being that was also on the prowl though went unknown to him. He had met it once before, which had caused a good bit of chaos. The knowledge that it was near would probably put him on edge, for it would certainly break up his peace. Of course, its presence wasn’t necessarily a bad thing either. |

Though her belly was full of deer, Sari was not actually feeling sleepy as one might after a heavy meal. Instead, the slender silver wolf found herself wandering through the woods, looking for something to occupy the time. The distance sound of roaring water drew her attention and so Sari turned, trotting off in that direction. Though it took her a decent amount of time, she finally came to a break in the trees. When she peeked through, she saw a huge, glorious sight; the waterfalls. She stood in the treeline, staring at the falls for a few minutes before she noticed a figure off to one side, sitting and reading. The thought that came to mind caused a wide, toothy grin to stretch across her muzzle and Sari proceeded to slink around to the other side of the clearing, careful to keep herself from the figure's view. When she was off to his left, she lunged forward, pouncing on him. Her weight combined with her momentum knocked both of them into the water, but only after she had somehow managed to swat his book out of the way so that it wouldn't get water on it. |

Tracyn was caught completely off guard as he felt a weight impact against him. It was only after he was already drenched and floating in water did he realize what had tackled him. At first he was in a momentary spike in fear, though mild as it was, then he came to realize the familiar scent. “Sari?! Its uh… nice to see you?” he shifted and bumped his head against a rock, “…ow.” Drifting away, his left sleeve had come loose and floated along next to him; clearly lacking an arm to fill it. The healer had grown used to his one-armed state in the time that had passed since his meeting with Vernon. It was on occasion though he would find himself trying to do something with his left only to remember that it wasn’t there. It usually happened, when it did, after waking or in another slow-to-react state. |

The scent of fear flooded his nose once her head broke the surface. Sari looked first left then right, trying to locate whatever it was that had scared Tracyn only to realize a second later that it had been her pounce. His fear faded away right after that, as he realized it had been her, and she gave him a wolfish grin, her tail wagging in the water behind her. Something floating off to his left caught her attention and she looked over at it, ears pricked forward as she doggy paddled over to inspect it. She blinked, confused as she saw it was his sleeve. Where was his arm? She looked up at him, her head tilted to one side, the question clear in her eyes. |

Tracyn swam back to shore and pulled himself up slowly. He rolled onto his back and gave an annoyed groan. His shirt was soaked and he shivered at the chill as a breeze passed through. Due to how clingy his shirt was, with the sleeve having had taken to hugging his side and its general tightness against his body it was even more clear that there was no arm on his left. Tracyn looked at her as she tilted her head, and then glanced to where she looked. “Uh…” he glanced down nervously. It was a tender topic to his still and he never quite got rid of the feeling in his gut, just a constant fear that Vernon was right around the corner for a second go at him. Tracyn paled and ran his hand through his hair in distress. |

Sari followed him back to shore, though her method of swimming made it take her a few minutes longer then him. Once the water was shallow enough, she switched from the slow doggy paddle to jumping through the water until she got to shore. She shook off, sending a spray of water droplets everywhere.. Including on Tracyn. She sent him an apologetic look before padding over and plopping down to sit at his side. He looked nervous first but then, running his hand through his hair, he clearly looked distressed. She frowned or, at least, she frowned as much as a wolf could. He was missing an arm, that much she'd figured out, so maybe he was afraid that whatever had happened to that one arm would happen to his other? Sari woofed softly before licking his cheek, clearly trying to comfort him. She shifted, settling her form on the ground and then stretching out to lay beside him, trying to offer him some of her body heat. |

Tracyn looked down at the wolf seated next to him and he smiled softly. He admired her attempts to aid him and he scratched her side teasingly. “It’s a long story about the arm, but I don’t really feel like I can tell it again yet, sorry,” he frowned and sat up and kicked the water before him absent mindedly. He was already soaked, and the spray from Sari didn’t help that, so it didn’t matter if he kept splashing water on himself anyways. “Don’t worry though, I’ll be fine. I’m not going back there any time soon.” he grinned and pushed her so that she would roll back onto her other side. The healer whistled and laid back down and let the other werewolf waltz around. |

Sari stretched, her tongue lolling out in pleasure as he scratched her side. When he stopped, she whined playfully. She stopped though, when he started speaking, her head tilting to the side as she listened. His words worried her, he was still feeling pain over what had happened. How long ago had it been? More recently than she had thought. He was right though, he would be fine in it. But until then, Sari would take care of him, protect him, she decided. Before she could even try to explain that too him, he'd given her a good shove, rolling her over. She let out a snort, as close a laugh as she could manage in this form, and rolled back over until she was laying half on top of Tracyn. A moment later, her form began to shift, the edges around her blurring. Her body shifted, lengthening and changing until a slender, pale body lay stretched out on top of Tracyn. Sari shifted, moving so that her face was right in front of his, her nose pressed against his own. "Hi there," she told him, laughter sounding in her voice. |

Tracyn laughed as she apparently enjoyed his petting, only to put up a playful woe-is-me attitude to his ceased-petting. “Oh don’t be like that,” he gave her a false-stern stare before giving a surprised sound to her plopping on top of him. Figuring it for the best he tried to scratch her back to coax her away from doing anything else in her current position. A dog slobber wasn’t what he wanted at the moment and was glad to keep her away from doing it. He hadn’t been expecting her to change though and was left with a gaping jaw at their position. His face had taken on a blush so red that it nearly matched his hair in intensity. “H-h-hi,” he stumbled over the words in shock and was quite sure that she was enjoying this all too much. |

Sari blinked before giving Tracyn an odd look. A moment later, she realized why he looked as he did with dropped jaw and flushed skin. And once she realized why, she couldn't help but laugh a little. "What's wrong Tracyn? Are you not comfortable with skin?" She laughed again, shaking her head. She shifted, moving so that she lay completely on top of him. Once she was more comfortable, she returned her face back to it's previous position, the tip of her nose touching his own. "So other than the arm thing, how have you been?" Sari asked randomly, curious. "It's been some time since we last met.. What have you been up to?" |

Tracyn tried to laugh to ease his nervousness as she mocked him. Obviously Sari had no issue with it, but for Tracyn the positioning made him fairly uneasy. Then the female werewolf must have decided it would be fun to torment him more as she crawled completely on top of him. The healer tried to regain his composure to respond, though it was fairly difficult. “Uh, pretty good actually. I’m the groundskeeper at the Contego Mundi guild hall, though I’m going on another trip to heal anyone who needs it. Uh…” he mused over what else of note to mention, “Made some friends, got rejected, and now I’m considered the older brother of a weretiger,” he nodded and grinned slightly. |
