| Welcome to Imythess, the border between dreams and reality. We hope you enjoy your visit. Imythess is a creative writing board where you narrate the story of a character in the medieval land of Imythess, on the planet Chaon. Each topic is an opportunity for your character to interact with the world and its peoples by cooperatively writing pieces of a story with other members, one post at a time. We call this role-playing, because you assume the identity of your character as if it were your own. In order to play, you must register an account for each character you would like to write about, and begin their tale by filling out their basic profile information: Race (human, elf, demon, etc.), class (warrior, mage, etc.), physical appearance, and any other personal details you would like to describe. You are also encouraged to come up with some background history information for what your character's life has been like up to the point at which their story in Imythess begins. There is no approval process or application required to join, so long as you follow the rules then you are free to write whatever character details you choose. Registration is simple, fast, and completely free. Create a character now! If you're already a member, you can log into your account below: |

Fara're raised an eyebrow as she watched Chris. When had he learned magic? Niether Tracyn or Slade knew that form of magic. And the other magic user she knew of, Kaess, primarily used fire magic. She jump the from the rock she was on back to the shore. She glanced in the pail as saw the crystal fish swimming around in it. Well they had finished what they had come here for. She figured they could now return to Icheb and give him the water. She hoped he would not send them on another foolish task. She then turned and looked to Chris. "Yeah, we are done with the task," she said. "But when did you learn magic? You never told me you knew any spells." |

"Yeah, we are done with the task," she said. "But when did you learn magic? You never told me you knew any spells." Chris smiled brightly as she said this and that the task was completed, well that had not been all that hard actually, the boy watched the fish for a moment as it was swiming around in the pail, he had no idea why the weird druid wanted to have this fish and the water....he did not get it at all. But he did not think Fara´re did know about it either so he did not ask he about the matter. The young teen glanced at Fara´re when she asked about the magic and Chris smiled a little before he replied. "Well a mage named Ethari helped me with some spells, then I also did learn some from master ace druing a class I joined at the academy, I did not tell you about that?" he remembered that he had not told Fara´re about that he had taken classes at the academy and the boy blushed a little. "I guess I should have told you that right? Well I am not that good with magic, but it works well when I do some easy things. Maybe I could be a greater help to the guild if I learned more magic." he did feel rather useless since he did not have any special powers like so many of the others, yeah he could turn himself to a weretiger and that of course....but he was not like Fara´re. |

Fara're looked down at the boy with her arms folded. This was not the first time Chris had done something without telling her. She did not care that he was learning magic. What she did care about was the fact that he had been doing without telling her. "Yes, you should have told me about this," she said sternly. "I don't know who either of these people are. Or even where this 'academy' is. If something happened to you again how would I know what happened? If you had wanted to learn magic you could have just told me, I would have been more than happy to help you find a way to do so." When he said something about being a help to the guild she shook her head. "The only reason you know about the guild is because of the connection you have with me. You are far too young to be an official member. You will not be doing anything to aid the guild until you come of age. It is far to dangerous." The bent down and picked up the the pail and began to walk towards the exit. "Come on we are leaving. But you will be getting some cleaning chores as punishment for going behind my back again," she said. |

Chris listened to her words and the boy did not say anything right away, he just listened to what Fara´re said. He frowned a little and closed his eyes for a moment. Then he opened them again and he could not help but feel rather angry about what she said. "Ethari was a mage I ran into by the lake and he helped me cook a rabbit, the first one I captured all by myself....he was really nice and it was when you where away." ((was around the time when she was with Yaksha)) he made a pause and then he shook his head. "I want to be able to do some things by myself without having to get your help" As she said that about the guild Chris and his tail move a little faster for a few seconds. "I do not care whatever you think I am a member or not, the others are the only friends I have and they are my family. I don´t want to....be a burden" he said the last word with a low voice. Then he quickly walked past Fara´re as she picked up the pail with the fish and he was walking towards the exit. "I never walked behind your back, I did it because I.....I wanted to make you proud that I could do it by myself." he did not look back as he said this and just keept walking. Yeah he was a kid and he knew that....but he wanted to try and he was not going to clean because he had wanted to make her happy....make her proud. |

She looked over her should at him. "I am not saying you cant do things without my help," she said calmly, but there was a sharp edge on her voice. "But do keep in mind that not everyone is what they seem to be. I understand you met this Ethari while I was gone, but that does not excuse you from not telling me about him when I got back. I was only gone for a few days." She was of course making a reference to the bandit he had met before. And what that had edventually lead to. He was lucky that Mikael was not as bad as some of the other theives he could have met. "I understand you 'don't want to be a burden,'" she said. "But you are still a child. And children are suppose to be a burden upon the adults who care for them. Nor is it a bad thing for a child to be a burden, it is just part of growing up. But it is a burden we are happy to bear. It is only bad when an adult see a child as *bad* burden. You are a *good* burden." She grabbed his collar as he walked past her. Her grip was firm but still gentle. "You don't have to work to make me proud," she said. "Have I not already told you that I *am* proud of you?" |

Chris listened to Fara´re when she talked about Ethari and he knew that she was talking about the time with the bandits and that, nothing he wanted to remember at all. He lowered his gaze a little before he sighed and looked back at Fara´re. "I was going to tell you mommy, I really was going to tell you because he was nice and helped me. I also showed him the only spell I culd use to create water and he said I was really good at it. The reason I did not tell you right away was because I did not see you in a few days from when that happened and then I just did not see it as anything that important to tell." he was honest when he said this, he had actually never intended to keep Ethari a secret from Fara´re. What she said then came as a surprise to Chris and he just looked at Fara´re....he was suppose to be a burden because he was a kid? A good burden? was that what he was? "But I still want to help, I like to help...." he said slowly after a few moments of silence. The teen looked at her when she grabbed his collar and then said the last part, Chris looked into her eyes for a few moment and then he lowered the gaze and nodded. "Yes you said that before, I just wanted to show that I could do things to. I want to be able to protect rather then be the one to have to be protected all the time." |
