Welcome to Imythess, the border between dreams and reality. We hope you enjoy your visit.

Imythess is a creative writing board where you narrate the story of a character in the medieval land of Imythess, on the planet Chaon. Each topic is an opportunity for your character to interact with the world and its peoples by cooperatively writing pieces of a story with other members, one post at a time. We call this role-playing, because you assume the identity of your character as if it were your own.

In order to play, you must register an account for each character you would like to write about, and begin their tale by filling out their basic profile information: Race (human, elf, demon, etc.), class (warrior, mage, etc.), physical appearance, and any other personal details you would like to describe. You are also encouraged to come up with some background history information for what your character's life has been like up to the point at which their story in Imythess begins.

There is no approval process or application required to join, so long as you follow the rules then you are free to write whatever character details you choose. Registration is simple, fast, and completely free.

Nireza made her way toward the Memphian Falls. She wasn't here for any particular reason, besides that she enjoyed this part of Imythess. The weather was perfect. The early afternoon sun sparkled on the nearby lake and river. There were only a few small clouds in the sky. However, despite the near perfect appearance of the area, Nireza had a feeling that not everything was as perfect as it seemed to be. It was as if there was some kind of evil in the area, but she could not figure out what it was, or even how she was aware of it. She did know that it had nothing to do with her strong alignment with wind. She considered the possibility of some unknown ancestor but rejected the idea. After some consideration, she decided to ignore the feeling and enjoy the falls, but she remained aware of her surroundings. After a while, she noticed something moving just outside the clearing, but could not identify it. She remained lying on the grass near the lake, but was ready to get up and fight if necessary.

Note: There are slavers in the area (including several demons), and Nireza has celestial ancestry that she is unaware of.

Elianna flew low over the land. She could sense something around here that she did not like. From experience she figured it had something to do with demons, but she was not sure if her hunch was correct.

As she glided she searched the ground, trying to find any signs of what she sensed. She then noticed a woman lying near the lake. The celestial decided to land and speak with her. She folded her wings in and quickly decended to the ground. As she neared land she gave a couple great flaps to ease her decent and gently placed her feet on the soft grass.

She rested her hand on the hilt of her sword, ready to draw should the woman prove hostile. She gave her a smile, trying to show that she ment no harm. But she was still uneasy because of what she sensed in this area.

"Hello there," she greeted.

Nireza was watching the edge of the meadow, but she noticed movement in the sky above. She looked upward and saw what looked like a celestial coming toward herself. She had not seen celestials before as far back as she remembered except in dreams, but she had heard about them. The celestial landed next to her and seemed to want to talk. Ni noticed that she seemed a bit uneasy. Maybe she senses the evil, too, and wants to do something about it.

Nireza rolled backwards onto her feet and was standing in less than a second. She returned the smile and said, "Hi, I'm Nireza. What's your name? I came here to relax, but something tells me we're not going to have much more time for that."

Nireza continued to monitor the movement near the edge of forest. She couldn't tell for sure, but the figures looked human or human-like. (These don't have a demonic aura)

The celestial watched the girl. She nodded to her as she introduced herself. "I am Elianna," she replied. "And I doubt you will be able to relax. Something tells me that there are demons in the area."

She turned as the newcommer arrived. She drew Sharde out of its scabbard. The blue metal gleamed in the sun light. Her saphire blue eyes glared at these strangers. She did not sense a demonic aura from them...but she still had a feeling that they were not friends.

She dropped into a defensive stance. "Who are you and what is your reason for being here?" she demanded.

Nireza listened to Elianna confirm her suspicions that there was something in the area. She also prepared to fight, pulling her wand out of her belt, ready to cast spells at any nearby enemies. She was now expecting a fight, likely against demons. She said, "I was noticing something as well, although I didn't know what it was. I'm not part demon as far as I'm aware, and I don't think there's an aura of any kind on me. Anyways, there are people coming, and they look hostile."

At that moment, the figures left the forest, charging into the clearing. There was five of them, ordinary humans, armed with spears and shields and sheathed swords hanging from their belts. One of them, who seemed to be leading, said, "We're here to take this woman here." He pointed at Nireza. "Would you be so kind as to move aside. We wouldn't want you interfering with us taking this perfectly good slave."

The mention of slavery enraged Nireza. She had no tolerance for slavery whatsoever. She blasted the leader with a bolt of holy energy, surprising even herself and killing the slaver leader. She had seen this holy version of her magic missile spell manifest before, but she hadn't learned to control it, and the previous times had been mostly in battles against demons. Unknown to herself, her eyes had changed from their normal green color to a golden color, a sign of Nireza's celestial blood.

OOC: Sorry I didn't get to this earlier.
