Welcome to Imythess, the border between dreams and reality. We hope you enjoy your visit.

Imythess is a creative writing board where you narrate the story of a character in the medieval land of Imythess, on the planet Chaon. Each topic is an opportunity for your character to interact with the world and its peoples by cooperatively writing pieces of a story with other members, one post at a time. We call this role-playing, because you assume the identity of your character as if it were your own.

In order to play, you must register an account for each character you would like to write about, and begin their tale by filling out their basic profile information: Race (human, elf, demon, etc.), class (warrior, mage, etc.), physical appearance, and any other personal details you would like to describe. You are also encouraged to come up with some background history information for what your character's life has been like up to the point at which their story in Imythess begins.

There is no approval process or application required to join, so long as you follow the rules then you are free to write whatever character details you choose. Registration is simple, fast, and completely free.

Nireza was somewhat surprised to actually get a straight answer out of Tolmar, although she suspected that Tresia would have just made something up again or avoided the issue. What she saw certainly explained a few things. She now knew that she had never seen them together because it was not physically possible, as they were different forms of the same body, even though they had distinct personalities. Nireza had heard of split personalities before, but she hadn't heard of both personalities actually being able to take form.

She said in a soft voice, to avoid being overheard, "That is rather strange, although I'm actually more surprised that you actually told me your secret than that you have the same body. So you're somewhat of a split personality--your minds are distinct, but you share a body, which actually transforms to the form belonging to the mind that is currently in control. Obviously you have control over the shapeshifting, or your secret would have been much harder to keep. I'm guessing that the two of you are able to communicate with each other. I can imagine that you probably argue quite a bit."

Nireza looked around for a moment to see if anyone else had seen the transformation or had overheard something. She then said, "A couple other people might have seen something, but I think they would have missed it. I have no intention of telling anyone your secret. Actually, now that I know, I think it will be rather fun to not tell anyone else and just see if they suspect anything. I think Tresia will agree with me here, although I'm not so sure about Tolmar. For now, you can just keep Tolmar hidden so he can't ruin it in front of more people." Nireza laughed. She preferred Tresia's outlook on things since it was more like her own. Tolmar was a little too "lawful" for her preferences. Now that she knew their secret, she understood Tresia's desire to keep it hidden.

Tresia was surprised by Nireza's second statement and laughed, "Well I don't expect the sand to here our conversation, everyone else is long gone if you hadn't noticed. I will say at least Tolmar isn't an idiot when he decides to revel our secret. All those wagons left are just ruins now and there was barely anything left to scavenge too. Still you don't have to worry we keep our secret well. You were just too curious, and Tolmar was right (Even though I hate to admit it) you probably would have figured it out in the few days it will take to heal our galent Kaess' wounds." She stretched a little.

"You are right about the arguing though, we sometimes wish we had a little time away from us. Still we should be alright it is only a few days trek to Istan and if it is just us we might get there a lot faster then we were going with the caravan. Still I don't like staying out here unguarded.... then again not much we can do about that."

Nireza said, "I don't know how I missed that. Usually I'm aware of what's going on around me. About your secret, it was probably a matter of time before I figured out what was going on. I've known for a while that you two were up to something. I didn't ask where you were at just out of curiosity. As you may have figured out, I was trying to get an answer out of Tolmar that would help me figure out your secret, but I was surprised that he straight out told me. I was expecting another excuse."

Nireza looked around. There was nothing in the area aside from what was left of a few of the wagons. Hopefully their food and water supplies would last until they could get to Istan City. Nireza said, "It seems we're stuck here for a bit. I wonder if one of us should head to Istan to get some sort of assistance. Tresia, did anyone mention sending someone back here to go get us once they get to Istan? If Kaess is going to be down for a while, we might have to do something like that."

EDIT: Fixed the problem. It now says Istan, as was intended.

OOC: I am assuming you meant Istan not Taras since Taras would be on the other side of the mountains a good distance away.

"Didn't manage to find anyone after the fight so I doubt it. It is mostly survive if you can in these situations. I suppose one of my caravan might send somebody. As for supplies well I can create water with a little spell we labored to learn and hunting food isn't as bad as it seems, we can probably hold out until our scaly friend is healed up..... " She looks out at the desert watching a small edie of wind stir it a bit.

"Plus I am worried about splitting up after running into to all the things we have. There is also that mage in Istan who ordered all those weird items and he would probably learn of us before we arrived in town. Better to hold off and be prepared as possible when heading there." She lapsed into thought for a bit wondering how her return home would be like with all the wild rumors that would be sure to be created. It was possible to profit, but could be dangerous too. She enjoyed the dangerous side, but Tolmar scolded her for thinking recklessly again.

While the two where arguing a light sound could be heard that was between scratching and scittering. They did not notice the sound.

Nireza thought about what Tresia had said. If they could find enough food and water to keep themselves alive, which Tresia believed to be possible, their best bet would indeed be to stick around.

She said, "As long as the food supply holds out, we're best off sticking around here, but eventually, finding food is going to become difficult if we don't move anywhere. Even a few miles could be enough to make a difference. Point is, we are going to have to get Kaess moving as soon as we can or get some sort of help out here. Actually, there are a few damaged wagons out here. Is there any possibility that we could fix them? Also, the chest and the staff...where are they? If they're with the caravan, the mage--whoever he is--might already have them."

After a moment, Nireza paused and noticed a strange noise. She looked at Tresia. She appeared to be arguing with her brother again and didn't seem to have noticed. Nireza said to her, "Can you hear that? I hear some sort of scratching noise. I'll go check on Kaess to make sure he's okay."

With that, Nireza went to check on the half-dragon.

"The chest is destroyed is buried in the sand in about four pieces we can gather them together I suppose, but I don't see much point. The staff well that is next to one of the chest pieces doesn't seem to be damaged. "

She shrugged her shoulders. "I didn't hear anything, but might as well check it out." She followed shortly after Nireza her axe slipping off her hip.
Ready to use on whatever they found.

Soon she heard a scratching sound too, but it quickly stopped. When the looked in on Kaess Tolmar and Tresia were equally surprised at what they saw. The mummified hand that had been in the jar was now about two feet away from Kaess' unconscious body. She started to raise her axe, but the had seem positioned to pounce and a voice of something that couldn't be discribed quite right rose from it. The voice was not horrible in it's sound though. "Come I only want to grant wishes no need to fight. Come tell me a wish... just a small one it will be worth your time." Even with the horridness of the voice both Tresia and Nireza felt a pull to tell it a wish. Tolmar was oddly unaffected and provided the resistance to hold off the urge. He just hoped Nireza would too.
