Welcome to Imythess, the border between dreams and reality. We hope you enjoy your visit.

Imythess is a creative writing board where you narrate the story of a character in the medieval land of Imythess, on the planet Chaon. Each topic is an opportunity for your character to interact with the world and its peoples by cooperatively writing pieces of a story with other members, one post at a time. We call this role-playing, because you assume the identity of your character as if it were your own.

In order to play, you must register an account for each character you would like to write about, and begin their tale by filling out their basic profile information: Race (human, elf, demon, etc.), class (warrior, mage, etc.), physical appearance, and any other personal details you would like to describe. You are also encouraged to come up with some background history information for what your character's life has been like up to the point at which their story in Imythess begins.

There is no approval process or application required to join, so long as you follow the rules then you are free to write whatever character details you choose. Registration is simple, fast, and completely free.

Divschatten's Dark Lady

"Such a wonderful place" Alice said to herself as she slowly walked down towards the lake of darkness, the archmage stopped as she arrived to the shore. Her gaze moved from the left to the right as she examined the area around her...the dark water was calm and looked just like a black mirror. "I think this would be a very good place for me to build my home one day...yea a very nice place indeed" she giggled slightly and then she began to walk at the shore around the lake, she stayed close to the water but still away from it since she did not want to ruin her dress or the beautiful lake.

As she walked she noticed something moving inside of the lake as the perfection of the calmness was ruined by something. Alice stopped for a few seconds and her eyes examined the spot where this had happened....then she shook her head slightly and continued to walk forward. It was then that it happened, the water began to bubble slightly followed by a roar and a large creature jumped out from the water...it was large and looked like a mix from a shark, a worm and a octopus. As it was about to attack Alice raised her hand....it took the creature a few seconds to understand that it did not come any closer to it´s pray...it was floating in the air on the spot.

Alice turned around fully and examined the beast with her eyes, the archmage had an amused look in her eyes....she knew that creatures like this one existed but she had never thought one would dare try to attack her....she frowned slightly and then she dropped the thing down on the shore. But she did not give it time to do anything before she quickly finished it with a blast of magical energy. "Such behavior to attack a lady like that for no reason..."

Nothing but ill words were uttered from Shain's mouth as he silently stalked the woman through the mist. He hated this place, the stench, the damp. It took him to a new level of ill that he did not enjoy being at. Why did he have to receive such a contract, and one so vague at that. A woman who's appearance was supposed to be similar to the one before him, though of no great threat. A noble, who was supposed to be stranded in the area by some other mishap his employer had arranged. So far, this woman before him was the only such person he had found, but there was very little evidence, beside her appearance, that she was Shain's target. She seemed neither distressed or unduly lost in the area, and from what he had seen of her magics, she was indeed someone to worry about. Especially the way she decided to deal with the strange aquatic beast that had risen up only moments ago.

His legs crossed in front of him, the half breed elf sat behind a couple bushes, hidden by the foliage and the mist. His temper was rising every moment, and no he was lost in the forest along with a woman he had been planning to attack moments ago. No way out, and he had told Whyverin and Kythrone to sit this venture out and enjoy plains that surrounded this particular area. The mist was too much of a hinderer to their sense of smell, and that was one thing he relied heavily upon when using them. The only choice he could see before him was to accompany the strange lady, and even that might present a problem to him if she decided hi presence was unwanted. However, as an assassin, he knew that risks were to be taken when one needed the benefits of doing so.

Grunting, he rose to his feet. His hands were gripping the handles of his knives tightly, his cowl over his face, and hi cloak shrouded him. "Madam," he began, trying his utmost to be respectful. "I apologize for intruding upon you, but I have need of your assistance if you may lend it to me. i seem to have misplaced my sense of direction, and inquire that you might assist me in finding it, or that you accompany me until it is found."

"Madam,""I apologize for intruding upon you, but I have need of your assistance if you may lend it to me. i seem to have misplaced my sense of direction, and inquire that you might assist me in finding it, or that you accompany me until it is found."

Alice calmly looked towards the sound and noticed the stranger, she was a little surprised to see someone else in this area now....someone that was lost to for that matter....what kind of person would want to come here without knowing the place? Well she of course but she did not care if she got lost since she could just use her portal and get where she wanted. But she was not going to tell him that...no not at all....this was a man and she intended to have a little fun with him first.

The dark lady calmly moved one hand though her hair and used just a slight hint of her charm ability...just enough to make the man see her as attractive...not that she was not attractive but he would feel a stronger attraction towards her. "I see am was not alone here then" she said calmly and focused her eyes into the stranger. "Well it is unfortunate that you are lost, I would be happy to help you out in any way possible."

She lowered her hand from the hair as she said this. "I was bored anyway and wanted to have someone to interact with, so you have no reason to apologize to me darling." she made a pause before she continued to talk. "But where are my manners, Alice is my name...a pleasure to meet you mister?" this was going to be very interesting to her...the day was not such a waste after all.

He was lost, he knew it, he hated it, and he couldn’t even find his target. A while ago he had entered the Lake of Darkness following some woman he had found a bounty on. He wouldn’t have tracked her down if the bounty wasn’t high, and it was really, really high! So high that it could have been one of his greatest bounties ever. First off, it was put out there by a member of some holy order or some nobility or something like that. Whatever it was, an organization or a rich angry snob of some royal family, he could get really rich if he just killed the woman, lopped off her head, and brought it to somebody in Taras, or what’s left of Taras anyways.

But now he was regretting it, he was wandering on what he thought was the complete opposite side of the lake of where the person he was supposed to be killing was. He heard the cry of some unfortunate thing from across the black lake. Yeah, he was most likely on the opposite side of the whole stupid black lake. He heard something in the water, it was probably that thing getting punted across the lake by some magic spell or something like that. Deadpool ignored it. It might end up eating him or something but he ignored it.

“What was that?” He asked after a louder noise of water being displaced. He was practically blind out here, and he just ran, going a bit further to the right every time until he saw two extremely dark blots in this lighter black blotted area. He stopped near the figures, close enough to see who they were. One was the woman he was hunting for a lot of gold, the other looked familiar, but not completely. Did Wade go to college with that guy? Oh well, maybe it didn’t matter really.

“Dark Lady Alice, right? Okay, look. There’s a really high bounty on your head, but for about half of the price of the bounty and you helping me find the way out of here, I won’t try to kill you. Now that that’s out of the way, I’m Deadpool. And depending on your answer, I might try to be your killer tonight… or day… or Daght. That's day and night put together without the sunset.” He let out a breath of air as he gasped for breath with his overly energetic introduction to somebody he might kill. And if he did end up killing her, it would be very unfortunate for such a really hot woman to die. But it was a lot of money. A really lot!

((Well since it looks like the other one is not to reply I guess I will keep going then....this could be fun))

Alice frowned as she heard the sound of yet another voice, my it was much people moving around the lake today. Yet people always said to avoid going to this area of the land, well might be just one of those days when everyone felt like going to some weird dark lake and do some fishing? The sorceress shook her head slowly and moved a few strands of hair away from her face, her golden eyes noticed something moving closer and closer until she clearly could see Deadpool and she was very surprised to see someone in such weird clothes, she had never seen anything like that before. Who would possibly dress themselves in something like that? Well someone with really bad taste was her guess.

The sorceress listened to the weirdo when he talked and she slowly tilted her head to the side as her eyes examined him while he was talking. Was this man after her head? My that did not sound very nice at all, but in a way Alice was flattered that someone actually had placed a bounty on her head. She was curious who it might have been, some Drow lord or some other person she had used? Maybe some angry paladin, well the list was without limit. "Yes, you are right about that mister. I am Alice" was her calm reply and she also examined her hand for a moment before she turned the golden eyes so that they looked at the man again.

"So is there a bounty on me? Well that was a surprise actually, might I ask how much money we talk about when you say half the amount of the gold you would get by killing me? and what makes you think I know the way out?" how much gold could her head be worth at the moment? Maybe she even could try and see if there was not a way for her to raise that sum if she knew who had been given the offer.
