| Welcome to Imythess, the border between dreams and reality. We hope you enjoy your visit. Imythess is a creative writing board where you narrate the story of a character in the medieval land of Imythess, on the planet Chaon. Each topic is an opportunity for your character to interact with the world and its peoples by cooperatively writing pieces of a story with other members, one post at a time. We call this role-playing, because you assume the identity of your character as if it were your own. In order to play, you must register an account for each character you would like to write about, and begin their tale by filling out their basic profile information: Race (human, elf, demon, etc.), class (warrior, mage, etc.), physical appearance, and any other personal details you would like to describe. You are also encouraged to come up with some background history information for what your character's life has been like up to the point at which their story in Imythess begins. There is no approval process or application required to join, so long as you follow the rules then you are free to write whatever character details you choose. Registration is simple, fast, and completely free. Create a character now! If you're already a member, you can log into your account below: |

Adilla saw the man move in and swipe at the creatures neck. From the sudden convulsion's beneath him, Pikel surely hoped that the vrock was in a death fit not just severely pissed off. Pikel held on with all of his might and then suddenly, he was laying on the dirt as the demon seemed to have disappeared. Anyone looking on would of noticed that the demon had seemingly disappeared in a blink of an eye. "Well that was decently easy for a demon," Pikel said raising himself to a standing position, already pondering his next course of actions. Just as he rose, a large form slammed into his back throwing him across the street and he ended in a halt a few feet from the barracks. The vrock was back with out his head but still seemed to be able to fight just fine. "Aim for it's heart!" cried Pikel, trying to rise once again. |

"Alright." Bertrade ran towards the Vrock with his weapon raised. Once he was in the general vicinity of the creature he prepared for an attack. With a solid motion he locked his arm in place with the blade sticking outward. Once he was this far he pushed forward attempting to to drive the sword into the creatures heart. If he managed this then it would more then likely kill the creature, but he doubted it would hit. Just as he tried to stab the creature the vulture like demon drew its wings, and slammed Bertrade into a wall. The experience was rather painful, but it wasn't anything he couldn't handle. Struggling to get up he looked at the demon, and tried to think of a new plan. |

Pikel saw the other man get slammed into a wall for the sole reason that Adilla had asked him to help him regain his lost prizes. He had endangered the warrior for a simple greed, even if the items were of extreme wealth and quality. Pikel knew he couldn't allow the other man to be hurt anymore on the behalf of himself. Therefore, Pikel would take the affirmative to kill the beast. Just as the vrock spread it's wings, Pikel threw his axe once again, hoping to clip it's wings. With a little luck and a little skill the axe soared into the edge of the wing, spinning the vrock to the ground. "Get him while he's down," cried Pikel, hoping the other man could finish the downed vrock before it rose again. It would be sad if the demon could get it's head chopped off and get stabbed in the heart and yet live. |

Once Bertrade realized that the creature was down he proceeded to spring up, and run to the creature. Just when he reached the location he began to stab at its heart over, and over again until it bled profusely. Once he punctured the heart, he proceeded to stab at its neck until it came off. Once he thought the demon was dead he began to pull himself backwards, and hoped something else didn't reveal itself. If one did he wasn't sure if he could take it. |

Pikel moved to the fallen corpse and placed a hand on the tired man's shoulder. He was pleased that neither of them had been hurt but he surely wished he could have defended Bertrade more. Once he had his powerful armor and his true weapon of choice, Adilla would defiantly be a more fearsome fighter during combat. "Next time I will do my best to protect you better," Adilla said with a smile spreading across his face as the corpse dissipated, most likely going back to it's own plane of existence. He looked back at the small warrior looking down on him, with the smile of a mother spreading farther up his face. |

"Protect me? Hah! I am in no need of protection thank you very much." He stood up as he said this, and dusted himself off. Once he finished with this he began to walk farther through this building. He then looked at the giant, and said. "So, Pickel, where are the those weapons you keep talking about. We never know when we are going to run into a nother one of those." Walking farther he tried leaning against a wall, but only managed to make it collapse. This structure was unsafe, but it was worth it to arm his giant friend. |

Pikel shifted a piece of rock trying to find at least his plate armor and his two handed axe. They were necessary for him if he planed to be any threat in combat as his weight made his axe extremely deadly and as for his armor, there was more than just protection within the armor. "They should be around here somewhere," Adilla said as he shifted another slab of rock. Just as he picked it up, a tremendous thunder was heard and the building began to sway and shake. Before the place could collapse, Adilla attempted to grab Bertrade. If he was successful in getting Bertrade, he would dive to the center of the building were it seemed slightly more sturdy. "Come with me, I can protect you," Pikel said desperately as he grabbed at Bertrade. |

"Hey! hey, hey, hey, hey. Get off me!" He screamed as he hit at the giants hand. He disliked many things, but most of all he disliked being picked up. Just as he realized there was nothing he could do he merely crossed his arms, and began to pout. Just as he seemed to be safe he needed to get out of the giants grasps. He had an idea to get out of this situation, but he would have to act quickly. Pulling his legs inward, and trying to wedge his legs inside the hand. If this was accomplished then he would push his legs out to try, and escape. |

Once the half-giant had brought the small man to safety, he felt a push on his hand. Before he could do anything else, the other man was flying from his hand as Pikel had let go at the odd nuisance in his palm. He watched Bertrade bounce away until he came up short in front of a slightly burnt door. "I was just saving you," Adilla said with a kind smile, pointing to the large pile of rocks that would have crushed the two of them. As the gigas was looking at Bertrade, he remembered exactly where the burnt door lead too. Forgetting about Bertrade for a few moments, Adilla charged into the next room too see various weapons and armor laying on the floor and some still in their racks. He immediately found his massive double handed axe and his prized armor. Placing on his breastplate, the gigas immediately transformed into a massive black bear and roared twice before returning to his normal form. "You should take some armor and weapons, no one will ever use these except us," the gigas said as he swung his old weapon around a bit, regaining the feel for it. |

" You Giant, What part of I need no protection don't you understand?" He questioned in a rather loud tone. Once he said this he bent over to crack his back. It was quite a little skirmish, and he hoped he would never see that type of creature again, but he knew that wouldn't happen. Standing up he looked at his longsword, and paced it in its sheath next to his better sword which for some reason he didn't use. He then looked at all the weapons which was in this area, and decided to look at the weapons. There was nothing he really wanted, and besides he had a rapier on back order, and that would be all the weapon he would need. |

Pikel looked at the man curiously as the small human had become feisty and almost nasty after the gigas had saved the man from certain death. Adilla began to speak but held his tongue thinking over what the small man had just said and the gigas decided it would be more intelligent to just let it slide. The large gigas moved through a broken wall out into the courtyard where memories assaulted him from the years past. His father had trained him hear for hours on end, teaching him how to fight, use his armor, and even some of the hidden meanings of life. Adilla's mother had hosted a party here in Pikel's honor only a few months ago and she had taken the time to invite everyone from his village. But it was all gone because of that vicious demon. Just then, black smoke swirled around the courtyard, seemingly formed a corporeal being in the center. Speak of the Devil! |
