You are also encouraged to come up with some background history information for what your character's life has been like up to the point at which their story in Imythess begins. There is no approval process or application required to join, so long as you follow the rules then you are free to write whatever character details you choose. Arthur looked at the falls before him and sighed at its beauty. The way it fell off the rocks and the way the sunlight hit it just took your breath away. The surrounding area helped alot as well. The tree line and the plants growing around it added to its beauty. No matter how many times Arthur came here the beauty of the place just struck him. He felt as if he belonged here as if he could live here forever. One day he might but now there was to much to do. He was here to rest and relax even half-dragons like him could use a little rest. Besides there was nothing much for him to do till summer came. The things that kept him active most of the year were either hiding away from the cold or waiting till spring came. Arthur would let them wait as long as he could sit down and gaze at the beauty of the falls. Arthur sat back against a tree and said," Arthur this is the life, if only life could be like this always". That was the problem with life adventure neevr slept so it was hard for him to stay in one place when adventure was afoot. At least for now he could rest and relax. Arthur went put of his human form transforming into his draconic state to be more at ease. Arthur then laid back his head and closed hsi eyes just listenign to the sounds of nature. |

Eliel patted Gwen’s neck happily, making the giant feline purr. He licked his thumb and rubbed it at a speck of dirt on one of the rubies on her leather collar, set in a line around the middle. The dirt came away easily enough, gem now gleaming blood red in the light. How appropriate. The drow chuckled as he fastened his breastplate, tied his cloak back on, and set Luriel in her sheath. Swinging a leg over Gwen’s side, he adjusted himself until he was comfortable, an easier feat than most would achieve seeing as his armor was enchanted to be both very light and very flexible. Gwen sprung off into the frest, many scents rushing into Eliel’s nostrils. The drow’s hair was loose at the moment, white mane billowing out behind him freely. Gwen was a better steed than any horse, being able to achieve speed and agility no other mount could hope to, as well as a very welcome companion. They sped quickly and neatly, only a few leaves stirring in their wake. * * * * Eliel felt Gwen slow as they approached the falls. Being an umbra, Eliel had no need for a bit and bridle or any such demeaning accessories. He and Gwen exchanged thoughts and commands. As the two broke the tree line, coming into full view of the falls, Eliel reached for Luriel, reassured by its leather grip. A small dragon lay on the ground not far away, seeming to be asleep. Eliel frowned, wondering. He had no reason to neither kill it nor fight it; it had shown no hostility whatsoever. Not all dragons were evil, that much he could tell from one of his best friends, a full blooded dragon. Eliel sat perfectly still atop Gwen, having no idea how it would look to the half-dragon. A drow in full armor and fineries, atop a panther-like creature the size of a small pony, ready to draw his blade. |

Arthur was to entranced by the sounds of nature to pick up the smell of Umbra and Drow. Usually Arthur was more alert, but few messed with half-dragons. They were not well known for their mercy. Arthur was diffrent from the others of his kind but he kept the reputation so as he could be alone sometimes. Finally Arthur did notice the smell and almost opened his eyes. The smell was clsoe close enough for it to be watching him. He moved his hand slowly as to make it seem he was merely moving in his sleep. He grasped the sword at his side and opened one draconic eye and looked in the direction of the smell. It was drow and it was on an Umbra. It looked ready to draw his weapon and it was in full battle armor. What it was doing on an Umbra Arthur did not know. He yawned grumbling slightly and said," I am not interested in fighting Drow today, so please it is not wise to wake a sleeping dragon. If you leave now I might just leave you alone". Arthru would not really do that sure he had no liking for Drows but not all of them were evil. He jsut wanted rest and relaxation. |

Eliel watched the half dragon, eyebrow cocked. The corner of his mouth turned upwards in a grin. It quivered for a moment before he gave a laugh. There was really nothing logically funny about the situation, but the simple attitude the dragon held was quite amusing. Eliel held in his hand a very deadly weapon, in very capable hands. One did not usually dismiss a battle ready drow so casually, unless sure of himself or protected by reputation. Eliel didn’t much care for either. The drow laughed freely, Gwen shooting him a quizzical look. Calming a little, but in a good mood, he spoke. “ I agree, good man. It isn’t at that. Neither is it wise to hold drow in such a casual outlook.” He winked, eyes scrunched with his smile. “No worries. I only wish to share these waters! Such a good day, why waste it indoors pondering over dark thoughts? Surely you have some space in yer heart for a friendly drow?” He asked with a chuckle. Without awaiting an answer, Eliel let his hand slide away from Luriel, unfastening his armor and his weapons. He pulled his cloak free and folded it neatly, placing it, his armor, and his four blades, into a strangely small pack on his belt. For such a small thing, it held an amazing amount. He had an open mind, but the bag’s space truly won him over upon discovering he could fit his entire armory and more inside. Eliel stood there in black linens, a loose white shirt, and his gauntlet, setting his pack on a rock by the water. He sat on the mossy boulder and chuckled, watching the dragon as he removed his boots. |

Arthur almost quirked a smile at the mans response but kept his eyes closed. Arthur sat up grumbling even though he wasn't really grumpy. He looked at the drow who had put all his battle gear away. If he had wanted to fight he would not have done that. Arthur said," True, but dragons can afford to hold anyoen in a casual outlook even half-dragons". Arthur then stretched and removed the blade and knife from his side signaling that he did not mean to fight as well. He was all talk for now but if the drow did prove dangerous, Arthur was more than ready. He said," Its a free world take all the water you want."Arthur looked at the drow, compared to Arthur he was way smaller . Of course Arthur was in dragon form. Still even small beings could be dangerous especially drows. He had a run in with some unfriendly drows in the past. Arthur said," Since I am being hospitable I guess I should say my name. I am Arthur Paendrag. You may call me Arthur if you desire." |

Eliel smiled at the half-dragon as he flexed his claws at his side. If the dragon proved dangerous at all, Eliel had claws of his own that could likely best that of the dragon's. Eliel rocked back and pushed up, lifting himself off the rock and back into the water. With a small splash he went under, the cool clear water feeling wonderful after the day under full arm and armor. Sweat and grime washed away, leaving him cleaned. Eliel broke the surface for a brief breath, cut off by a huge leaping black form. Three hundred pounds of umbra hit him, pushing him under. Eliel wrestled his way around Gwen and up again, half-choking, half laughing. He patted the wet cat on the head, looking over to his rather silent half-dragon friend. “Eraspeola Usreanac of House Usreanac.” He said with a smile. He didn't expect him to know who he was. Eliel didn't know him, so why should he be known any better? Eliel chuckled. “So, my blue friend, how does one such as you pass the time? I don't think ye'd spend your days laying in the sun normally.” He smiled |

Arthur watched the drow move into the water. He almost jumped in suprise and tried to draw a balde that was not there when the Umbra jumped in after the man. Arthur had never had a harder time not to laugh but he kept his face straight and serious. Arthur was not one for pets but he supposed Umbras could be a good one. In his life he rarely let himself get attached to anything. He would live longer than anything he might grow attached to if it was not partial immortal like him. The man spoke his name and Arthur nodded and wondered if there was an easier way to say it.The drow then asked what Arthur did. Arthur really did not do anything he did whatever felt right at the time. He never stayed in one place for to long. You could classify him as a wanderer. Arthur said," I don't, but when I need rest its what I do. I used to freelance as a Knight before Taras fell. After it fell I have been wandering from place to place tyring to find somethign to bring adventure back into my life. For now though I have retreated into solitude so as to rethink things and possibly gain new meanign in life". |

Eliel watched Arthur curiously. “If you prefer, The names Eliel.” He smiled at the half-dragon knowingly. Not many liked using his real name, not even himself. Too much had happened to him with it. Eliel observed the man. He was by himself, that much was obvious. Why stay alone? “Don't ye have any traveling companions?” Eliel asked curiously. Listening to him with a smile, he shook his head, chuckling. Arthur sounded like him a while ago. Waiting for adventure to come into his life of its own accord. “Arthur, ye can't sit around and wait for adventure to come for you. It's not how things work. You have to chase it, meet new people. I used to sit about waiting. Now I have too much to do for my own good. Exploring underground, fighting a dragon, befriending dragons, the whole deal.” Eliel winked at him knowingly. “find yerself someone or something to travel with ye. If you ever need someone to go with you, I'm always available to new life-endangering experiences. Does my old heart good.” He beamed. He was nearing his third century now, true, but he also had a good couple to go. |

Celebriel walked through the woods. The sound of the falls was resonated through the land. As she came out into a clearing a smile came across her face as she saw someone she knew. She walked right up to Arthur. Her silver skin shinning in the light. She wrappered her tail around her feet and gave her fellow half-dragon a warm smile. "Long time no see," she said in a melodic voice. "How have you been?" She then noticed the drow and the umbra. SHe knew the drow typically were evil creatures, but this one seemed to be of no treat at the moment. So she did not flinch or raise her hands to cast a spell, instead she gave him a warm smile and a nod in greeting. "Hello, I am Celebriel," she said to the drow. |

Arthur smiled at the man when he said the shorter version for his name. It would be easier for him to remember not that he would forget anyone he met. The man asked if he had any traveling companions. Arthur used to have people come along with him but not for a long time now. Arthur said," I used to have travel companions. Now I travel alone cause it helps me think." Arthur listened to the man. Arthur did not wait for adventure he usually found it or it found him. Arthur had not meant to say he waited for it because he didn't. Arthur said," I don't usually wait around, I find it or it finds me. Belive me I have found many adventures and some that have found me. For now though I am keeping away from adventure. Eventually I'll go back. Even dragons need rest". Arthur then smiled at the man at what he said about adventuring do his heart good. Arthur felt the same way. He felt free adventuring. Arthur smiled and said," Perhaps I will, I would like to have company again. If I ever find an adventure I need someone to help me in I'll call you". A familiar scent entered his nose and he turned to notice a beautiful female half-dragon enter the scene. Arthru smiled it was Celebriel an old friend of his.Arthur said," I have never been better Celebriel. How have you been"? |

Eliel smiled at the half-dragon, nodding. “Very good. You won't be disappointed.” He said with a chuckle. Getting out of the water, he pulled a drying rag from the depths of his bag, wiping away the water. He was left completely clean, scrubbed by the currents made by the waterfall. Eliel pulled a shirt over his head and belted Luriel, his angelic blade. The drow noticed Celebriel and smiled at her, bowing lightly. “Hello,l lady Celebriel. Nice meeting you, dear. Mine is Eliel Usreanac, and my lovely companion here is Gwen.” He said, waving a black hand too the swimming umbra. The umbra's gleaming yellow eyes watched the half dragon woman distrustfully. As big as she was, the animal could be out of the water in seconds, ready to fight. Eliel shot her a curious look. Gwen always seemed to act this way, more so around women then men. Eliel simply shook his head and chuckled. “Don't mind her.” He said to the half-dragoness. Eliel walked over to the two's side after he placed his bag of neverending space on his hip. Extending his left hand to Celebriel, for fear that his right hand wouldn't be able to take a handshake from a half-dragon. The gauntlet could hold up however. |

Celebriel looked out the umbra. The large cat did not seem to like her all that much. She figured it would just take a bit of time to show the creature that she was not a threat to its master. "She is beautiful," Celebriel said with some awe in her voice. "She seems quite loyal to you. It must be nice to have such a lovely traveling companion." SHe eyed him a bit curiously when he reached to shake her hand with his left hand. The hand that was protected by a gauntlet. She clasped his hand with hers. Her grip was not a tight one, but gentle a friendly. "Afraid I might be a bit too strong for you?" she asked with a bit of humor. "I might be half-dragon...but I am also a spell caster. Strength is not my fortee. Now if you are ever in need of an ice mage, don't be afraid to seek my aid." She then turned to Arthur. "I have been well. Has been a little while since I have seen any of my half-dragon friends. Kaess has dissapeared into the mountains for some training. He has most likely gotten himself lost by now." She reference her golden half-dragon friend. That guy never seemed to be able to pay attention to something for more than a few minutes. She honestly wondered how the person found his way around. |

Arthur watched the Umbras reaction to his friend and smiled. He knew that look in an anmials eyes. It was a bit of jealousy and territoriality. The Umbra wanted her master alone with her and noone else of the female gender. Men were okay no chance of stealing him away then women were diffrent. Arthur watched the drow shake hands with his friend. He sensed friendliness in both so he had no worry. Arthur chuckled when she said she was not strong. He said," It does not matter if your a spell caster, even half-dragosn have the strength of dragons if they know how to use it." Arthur would have showed them but he was resting and didn't fell ike showing off a dragons true strength. He sat down on a log and listened to Celebriel say how she had been. Arthur smiled and said," Same here, its been a long tiem since I have seen any of my friends. The few that I have anyway. In fact you were the last I remember seeing. Kaess can probablly take care of himself. I don't know him but half-dragons usually can take care of themselves". Arthur then looked at the drow and said," Your Umbra's jealous I have seen that gleam before. She thinks that Celebriel here is going to take you away." |

Eliel chuckled at Celebriel's observation. “Quite so, I'm afraid. I'd not like to chance it however. I have great need of a working sword hand.” He smiled at her and winked. “Mage? Honestly, I hate fighting mages. But I've taken precautions.” He chuckled. Both his piwafwi and his gauntlets were enchanted against mages. “aye, she is a beauty. Wonderful thing to have in a fight too.” He smiled warmly. The cat had saved his skin on several occasions. Quite intelligent, knowing who and what was dangerous, or at least held the possibility for hurt, physical or emotional. Eliel looked over to Gwen, whose head was half underwater, glaring at Celebriel. Eliel smiled at the cat. “That may be true, Arthur. Likely it is part of it. But I've had some bad experience with women.” He winked again. Gwen crawled out, shook herself off, and walked over to Arthur, stomping a paw on the half dragon's foot and pressing her several hundred pound weight on it. Afterwards, she padded over to celebriel's side, eying her haughtily. She sat in front of the silver dragoness and cocked her head, looking her over. |

Celebriel laughed at what Arthur said, "That may be true enough...but I still do not have the strength of a half-dragon fighter. I prefer to rely on my magic." She then looked to Eliel, "You hate fighting mages? I guess that is understandable...there are many nasty spells out there. But if one equipts themselves properly an undefended mage is an easy target. That is why a wizard rarely travels alone. I can only travel alone because me being a half-dragon keeps most people away." Celebriel watched the umbra as she got out of the water and made her way over to them. The half-dragon understood that the large cat did not trust her yet. She knelt down to be more eye level with the cat. She did not look straight into the felines eyes, she knew many animals view that a threat. In stead she just extended a hand in a non-threatening manner for the umbra to smell her. "I will not harm your or your friend," she said softly. "I promise you that." |
