| Welcome to Imythess, the border between dreams and reality. We hope you enjoy your visit. Imythess is a creative writing board where you narrate the story of a character in the medieval land of Imythess, on the planet Chaon. Each topic is an opportunity for your character to interact with the world and its peoples by cooperatively writing pieces of a story with other members, one post at a time. We call this role-playing, because you assume the identity of your character as if it were your own. In order to play, you must register an account for each character you would like to write about, and begin their tale by filling out their basic profile information: Race (human, elf, demon, etc.), class (warrior, mage, etc.), physical appearance, and any other personal details you would like to describe. You are also encouraged to come up with some background history information for what your character's life has been like up to the point at which their story in Imythess begins. There is no approval process or application required to join, so long as you follow the rules then you are free to write whatever character details you choose. Registration is simple, fast, and completely free. Create a character now! If you're already a member, you can log into your account below: |

The man begged as the moon sliced through the clouds. The old man continued to beg as the dark figure stood still with his blade to his neck. The moon casted over the two as the dark figure showed himself as he lifted his hood. His cold pale face, stuck in a frozen grin. His silver eyes stared deep into the begging man's. His silver perfect hair laid at his shoulders. His sinister grin gave the old man no time as the blade met his neck, quickly and painless blood slushed about the steel blade. Draco looked back to the two others as they were frightened stiff as Draco spoke, "You see, I said not to anger me and anger me you did." Draco pierced their hearts with his silver gleaming eyes. A young boy and a older man simply stiff with Draco's quick kill lifeless behind him. Draco lifted his blade to his mouth and licked it. He smiled at the taste of it as he pointed the blade to the father male figure and spoke, "So weak, you wonder why things like this happen. Your too scared to move, you people are teaching your sons." Draco paused as he pointed the blade to the boy, he continued. "To become a weakling just like you." Draco walked closer as he knelled to the boy's height and smirked at him. His cold silver eyes tainted the boy with a light tear to drop from his eyes. Draco standing once more looked to the older male and spoke, "I suggest you go get me who I asked for, or else." Draco stopped and then looked behind him as he saw the dead older man lying dead on the ground. Draco smiled and turned back to the older male and spoke one last time, "Second though I would rather rid you of being a weakling." Draco lifted the his blade and struck forward as he sliced through his intestines. Draco locked eyes with the man and watched as he gave out a light breathe of air. Draco releasing the blade from his stomach struck again only to decapitate him as his head rolled to his son. Draco lightly gave out a menacing chuckle and looked to the young boy who now feel to his knees and began to cry loudly. Draco grinned and grabbed the boy as he dragged him along the ground. Draco watched him as he continued to cry. Placing the boy against a stone wall quickly jabbed his steel blade through the boy's throat. "No need for those that are useless..Right?" Draco calmly wiped his blade lightly as he sheathed it quickly he turned as he looked down upon the city of Lanterns, home sweet home.. |

A voice issued from the shadows, full of menace and bloodlust. "Oh, but NO man is truly useless, Orion! Everyone serves a purpose, small as it may be...." A man stepped out from the shadows, carrying a polished black cane, adorned with a skull, and rubies for eyes. His own eyes twinkled a shocking shade of green, the sort that seemed almost luminescant. He examined the bodies passively, and looked up, a sage-like smile on his face. "Not bad, Orion, not bad at all. But someone has to clean up the mess. And it's all too easy to be traced by that blade." He looked down at the corpses, his eyes full of a malice and darkness that would've been unsettling even for Orion, and purely terrifying for a lesser man. "Sloppy, much too quick for them to truly know what was coming. I do applaud your work, Orion. But..." He stepped forward, the skull's rubies glinting like a macabre, sanguine gift. "You could be so much MORE, Orion. Why settle for being a threat, when you can be a scourge!?" |

Draco listened closely as he heard the word of a darker figure. Draco knew how to kill but this was indeed sloppy. He hadn't cared for an artistic killing on this night. He gave them their chances and they needed to be dealt with easily. Draco watched as the man slipped out from the shadows. Draco was impressed that his name was easily known. Draco figured he must have a record or that this man possessed so mind reading abilities. Draco smirking lifted his blade to the sky and looked at it. Draco looking back to the newly dark figure watched his motions and light strode with that cane of his. "It is sloppy, isn't it? Not my kind of thing but when you can't do something right it's easier to rid them of any form of agony after all they were failures already." Draco paused for a moment and sent his blade down and he took a cloth from his cloak and wiped it down. "A threat? I am not a threat my kind sir, rather a scourge of my own liking. What makes you think a man like me could be more when he needs not much else.." |

Yaksha shook his head, and gave a small sigh. "Yes, it is a shame when one must kill sloppily. That's why I've people to do it FOR me. Never settle for anything less than perfection." Yaksha pulled off his tophat, and held it at his chest, his voice soft and warm. "Death is a play, Orion. Murder...an ART. And I am but a simple playwright. One must NEVER settle for a sloppy work of art, when there are so many easier methods..." He looked up, his eyes having gone from green to lemon-yellow, and slitted, almost like some monstrous snake. "Come, Orion. I think you may enjoy seeing this...." He turned, and began to walk ahead, keeping his head low and saying not a word, though at times he let out small chuckles. Finally, he stopped, and looked up at the necropolis before him. He turned to Orion, and nodded to the doors. "One of my favorite stages, where I may inter my...actors." His lips peeled back into a wicked grin, and he pushed the door open. "Step inside, Orion. See my museum...." |

Draco lightly cracked his neck as he slammed it to the side with a loud crack. Draco looked the man over and spoke, "I didn't catch your name?" Draco was lightly interested in the man's words and followed him to the wooden tall door. A building that seemed to build almost vacant. Webs from ages ago hung over the entrance as Draco watched the figure kick the door in. Draco smirked as the man's voice seemed to mean much more then just words. Draco was simply curious as to his museum. Draco quickly watching spoke with a serious tone. "Killing perfected, is not necessarily perfect if you don't do it yourself am I wrong? You want to see their faces when they are shocked and facing death.." Draco calmly walked forward as he followed the man into the building.. |

"Ahhh, but the perfect deaths are reserved for me, and me alone. Those deaths where I may have hours, or even days beforehand and after, so that I may turn their life into a perfect display...." He stepped inside, the scent of formaldahyde thick in the air, and the first body hanging from the door. The man's legs were crooked above the doorway, hanging from a bar, and his head had been turned impossibly, the vertebraes obviously shattered. His lips were drawn back into a terrified smile, and his hand was splayed open, as if greeting those entering. Yaksha chuckled dryly, and stepped on ahead. "Died of exsanguination. Took a long time to get it right." Further in, they saw a woman against a wall, a baby pressed to her breast, both emaciated and thin. "The woman, of shock. The child....well, aconite can be quite fun to work with." He examined the woman and her child, then shook his head. "Ohh, dammit. They're starting to fall apart. Another failure for the pile...." He turned to Draco, and waved around. "Have fun, Orion. Enjoy your stay. Find a peice you like..." |

Draco walked about the museum as he looked at the wonderful art work. And then Draco spotted a piece so brutal he liked the way it was formed. A man gripping on to his wife as a light spear was jammed into his kneecaps. His face was distorted to a constant bleeding smile and the woman was crying tears of blood. Her face was delicate once but now dis formed and lightly tattered by stitches and sewing needles. Draco looking about the room felt the nice warmth of death as he looked to the man once more and spoke, "I see your a man of artistic abilities, I liked the one at the door and I might add the grief displayed on that one...is rather well impressive." Draco liked the man;'s work insane and lush with a life giving purpose. He was right why kill if not making it perfect. The bodies were part of a wonderful display from children to adults. To objects such as cotton balls to fishing hooks were found about the displays. Draco found a few with widened slits about their lips as if for a never ending smile. They were all dried with blood and grief and yet, for the mysterious man a comfortable home.. |

Yaksha clapped, and bowed to Draco. "A fellow lover of the finest arts! You may call me Yaksha, Lord of lies, master of deceit, king of trickery." He looked up, his eyes twinkling darkly, and his lips pulled into a small grin. "I take great pride in my work, and I spend the utmost in care keeping them all in perfect shape." He smiled, and then walked to a small door. "Allow me to show you my favorite peice..." He opened the door, and inside lay a small boy, looking up at his mother with outstreched arms. A bloody smile adorned his face, and his nose had been severed. At first glance, the peice was merely strange, until one saw the mother; then it became terrifying and sickening. Her face had been drawn into a haggish sneer by fishhooks and wire, and the child's nose lay between her teeth, filed to points. One of her eyes had popped from her skull, hanging in the air as if peering at those who would intrude upon her and her son. "I call it, 'Mother loves her Son'. It's my pride and joy...." He walked over, and poked the boy's cheek, which caved in quickly, as if the bones had disintegrated. "I did, of course, remove the child's bones after death. You can find most of them hanging throughout the museum. And the nose? Why, the mother did that herself, of her own accord. Hunger can drive a man to madness, y'know." |

Draco followed Yaksha into the next room as the art was beautiful it had a wonderful feel of grief and protection of younger adorn believers in faith. Draco was impressed that a man such a Yaksha had time to do such things in his spare time. He was definitely a odd fellow. Draco smirking looked to the fish hook about the mothers face as she seemed frightened and angry if anyone came close enough to touch her son. Draco watched as Yaksha poked the child';s cheek. Draco watched the skin sink in as he heard the words of Yaksha explain. Draco was amused and felt nicely comfortable. "Your art must inspire, so it seems. Yaksha you have a nice knack for a sense of art work, I must say I am very amused at such things." Draco turned his head towards another piece of art and spoke, "What inspires you to do such lifeless acts and make them into work??" Draco asked kindly as he continued about as if it were a fascinating tour.. |

Yaksha laughed, and waved around. "Life itself ionspires me, Orion. I see these people, and simply know they have to join my artwork." He turned to Orion, and held out a hand, smiling softly. "I can teach you my ways, show you my methods. All you have to do, is take my hand...and accept me as your mentor." His lips curled into a small grin, and his eyes twinkled expectantly. |

Draco's eyes flickered to a silver once more as he turned his head to the man Yaksha. His mind of the artwork and on the word mentor. Draco liked him, however Draco cared not for lessons nor did he have time to deal with making artwork from his corpses. Draco might have made a few sloppy kills in his time, but that is simply because he didn't have a trait like Yaksha. Draco contemplated on such a thought and spoke, "A Mentor?" Draco lightly chuckled and spoke once more. "I Have no need of lessons, I know how to kill, easily, as you already know. The last thing I would want is someone trying to tell me how to make my killings into artwork, however I am indeed impressed with such a museum. To be able to do work like you I would appreciate a few steps other then that don't think of me as a child nor a student. I can kill you just as sloppy as some your failing artwork pile.." Draco was cold and convincing in his words regardless of his tone he meant it with respect towards Yaksha not threatening. Draco simply didn't want to have Yaksha think of him as a rookie at what he did best, Killing and prolonging the feeling sinking into his heart.. |

Yaksha stared at Orion for a moment, then shook his head sadly. "You think you could kill me, boy..." His skin began to grow pinkish, and his nails began to grow long and thin. The hair on his head turned a deathly shade of grey, and bones began to burst forth from his flesh, twining around him like some parasitic vine. Three horns began to form around his skull, each blood red and spiralling to wicked points. His entire lower body was devoid of flesh, looking like some some skeletal monstrosity. His feet had turned into something reminescent of a bird's talons, and his voice grew soft and menacing. "For three hundred years, I have haunted this realm. You have more to learn from me than you'd think..." |

Draco looked him over as he watched him twist into a monster like form. Draco knew it must of been his demonic form and when it spoke he knew. Draco cared not for his idle threats, nor how long the damn guy has been haunting the realm. Draco watched as horns were made atop his head. Draco smirked as he answered the first question. "Kill you? Rid you is more like. Three hundred years? Thats a long time..." Draco said this sarcastically as he motioned to the man Yaksha. Draco nodded towards him and lifted his hands to make him calm down. Draco spoke again. "Learn I am capable of doing." Draco paused and looked him over, a demon that seemed to be enticed with his own rule and power. It flourished in his physical appearance and Draco simply grinned. His eyes moved to his hands checking for a weapon, Draco knew a demon did not need a weapon other then his own power. Draco watched Yaksha closely. Draco felt light tension as his right hand lifted to the back of his head as his fingers twiddled with his hilt... |

Yaksha gave a small chuckle, and waved around. "We needn't fight, Orion. I merely want to be your friend." He cocked his head, and raised a hand, the nail thin and sharp, the exact color of blood. "You wouldn't make me hurt my friend, would you...." He quickly shifted back into a human form, complete with his tophat and suit, brushing dust off of it. "I hold no ill will towards you, Orion. But if you get in my way, if you ruin my plans...then only death may await you." |

Draco Looked to him interested and lightly took his words to heart. Yaksha seemed like a decent man and wanted things going his way. Draco cared not to get in his way, nor fight. Draco didn't want to be taken lightly, even considering the fact that Yaksha could kill him just as well as Draco could kill him. Draco looked him over as he turned back to the formlessly man Known as Yaksha. His top hat made Draco Lightly smile and spoke, "I seek no motion to kill you, rather I will take your teachings lightly, However considering my busy schedule. Vampire's got to feed." Draco looked to Yaksha as he smirked and looked him over once more his nice shabby suit made him look presentable. Draco left his hilt alone now as his hand dropped to his side and smirked. "So Where do we start Yaksha?" |
