Welcome to Imythess, the border between dreams and reality. We hope you enjoy your visit.

Imythess is a creative writing board where you narrate the story of a character in the medieval land of Imythess, on the planet Chaon. Each topic is an opportunity for your character to interact with the world and its peoples by cooperatively writing pieces of a story with other members, one post at a time. We call this role-playing, because you assume the identity of your character as if it were your own.

In order to play, you must register an account for each character you would like to write about, and begin their tale by filling out their basic profile information: Race (human, elf, demon, etc.), class (warrior, mage, etc.), physical appearance, and any other personal details you would like to describe. You are also encouraged to come up with some background history information for what your character's life has been like up to the point at which their story in Imythess begins.

There is no approval process or application required to join, so long as you follow the rules then you are free to write whatever character details you choose. Registration is simple, fast, and completely free.

The sweet chimes of the midnight air sang a light tune as they hung from each of the little hub houses on the outskirts of the city. The wind was creeping up into the air easily as the fall leaves began to drop with ease as the bare trees showed signs of dying agony. The cobble stone pathways amongst the city were filled with the leaves that had continued to fall. It seemed that most the people amongst the city were too lazy to rake as the leaves sent a vibrant color during the day. The cold chills sank deep into the night as the lanterns stayed lit even with such wind. The nice calm humans walking about the city at such a late night had gotten a certain persons attention. That wasn't all, no, something else other then human. A familiar scent a scent of death meet the figures nose. His eyes glistened in the midnight moonlight as he searched distant to close measures for the scents match. Draco smirking knew he had found another just like him.

His black cloak rested at his back as his black hood hid his face nicely from his expressions. His eyes darted forward in interests as the scent was near. It was heavy and then he classified it.

"Another Vampire?"

Draco had not met any other Vampires of the world of Imythess. He rather stay hidden in his own concealment but something sparked his interest as the passing days filled his mind with a vision and now he would mingle with those that would fully understand his intentions. His mind was clear of thoughts and opportunities as he jumped down from his perched position into a long dark stretched alley way as he followed it to the main street opening. Hoping to bump into the one he was searching for. Draco knew how Vampires thought, he is one and knew that the smell of his own scent would attract the others.

Cade bounced along, twin stilettos twirling in hand. Both were silvery, with the shadowed parts a black steel. The handles seemed to be twisted, a neatly spun circular bar. He chuckled as the obsidian gem on the bottom of the handle gleamed, facing the floor if the stilettos were held blade-up.

He spun them and snapped them in their sheaths, hidden from view. The black material of the cloak hid him well in the shadowy streets. The short vampire smiled happily at his new toys, stopping dead where he stood as he picked up a familiar scent.

It was strange, only having smelled it a few times before, and some time ago. He smelled another vampire, the smell of blood. Not the metallic smell most got from freshly opened veins, the sweet under smell only those who truly loved the stuff could appreciate.

He rounded a building, spotting a similarly-cloaked figure in the alley. Cade lowered his large hood, showing his raven-black hair, perfect porcelain white skin, only marred by a thin scar on his temple, stretching halfway to his right eyebrow, and the icy blue eyes that held the light of madness, experience beyond the years of his deceptively youthful exterior.

Cade watched the man with a solemn face, a rarity for the man-boy. Under his cloak, his hand spun, wrist snapping, a throwing knife appearing in it. He threw it at him quickly, the illusion nearly perfect. It could not harm him in any way, but he would find out the extents of the man’s abilities.

The scent was highly tasteful as he knew the other vampire was now either just around the corner or possibly following him. Lightly walking as if wounded or old Draco had spotted the figure behind him. He was cloaked and his nice black hair draped over his eyebrows. His blue normal Vampire looking eyes showed a cold intent and a seeking for blood. Draco however ignored his presence as he continued to walk away. His mind was free as his face showed a grin as he sensed the sudden motion of the other vampire his scent was to highly stuck to Draco's tongue. Any movement from the other Vampire would make Draco spring to life in action. His long blade was hidden at his back underneath his cloak. His hand lightly felt the spuratic energy of magical intentions.

"Fool." Draco's voice breaking the silence of the night.

Draco was wise beyond his years that showed his face as he quickly ducked. His knees bent as the illusion seemed to trick him. The illusion disappeared at where it was supposed to hit. As if it evaporated in the air from the cold air, and whispering wind. Draco ignored such tricks as his knees flexed their muscles from the weight of his upper body. His hand reach upward as he revealed his silver hair, falling to his shoulders. His pale white complexion showed a clean shaved young man of handsome attractions. His hair slide just over his left eye as his red lips seemed lushish and plump from feeding. His cold silver eyes glistened brighter then the moon above. Draco's left hand sank into his cloak quickly as a bright purple light was forced forward toward the other Vampire. As he watched the magic Missile head for the other Vampire Draco stood. He aimed slightly to the right of his fellow Vampire friend as he would be a asset to Draco's plans..

Cain smiled as the dagger disappeared from sight, destroyed by contact. The magic missile hurtled towards him quickly, almost faster than he could see it. Turning a bit to the left, the missile barely skimmed his shoulder, grazing him. Under the hit, Cade cast a quick spell.

He stopped with his back facing the other man. Turning around, he sported a rather large and deep gash in his shoulder, bone visible. He held a smile despite the injury, injured arm moving into his cloak, pausing for a second, then bringing out a large black pointed hat, seemingly too large for him as it sat barely above his eyebrows, showing a strip of white skin above black eyelashes.

Cade winked, letting the illusion slip away. The wound faded away, showing no apparent injury. Despite his efforts, he had received a nice bruise. With a chuckle, Cade approached the man, knowing full well he wouldn’t make a move on Cade’s life. He had intentionally misaimed at him. Magic, unlike normal ranged weapons, was fairly accurate on where you wanted it to go, depending on the mind instead of reflexes.

Cade bowed low, sweeping his ridiculously large hat to his heart and back, the pointed top bending. “Cade. Who might I have the joy of meeting?” He said with a chuckle.

It seemed that it was a very heavy illusion and Draco did his bidding well. The Vampire walked with a light strode of trusting. Draco's accurate rate of controlling the magic missile's placement seemed to gain the other Vampires better judgment. Draco lightly observed him throughly as he followed his stroke step by step. Draco glancing to his right noticed two men at the end of the main street, they happened to be guards. If things got ugly Draco could get away quickly and have the other vampire get the deck of guards after him for a change. Draco wasn't sure if his easily walking strode meant anything or not he seemed too acceptable for a vampire, though he was indeed a vampire. His black hair seemed slightly shorter then his own and it seemed that he was initially testing Draco's abilities with his tricky illusions.

Draco heard his sly, smooth voice trickle off into the cold air with a greeting. His faced showed a smile and Draco's grin quickly sank into a light smile as well. His silver eyes showing he was still serious. Draco walked toward the man and spoke,

"The name is Draco, Just so you know I could have killed you.."

Draco lightly grinned but then winked back. He then sank into his thoughts at the situation.

Is this guy care free? Or whats the deal he is just a bundle of chuckles. He seems decent perhaps a bit lost in his own world of tricks. Though his illusion fooled me a bit so he must be good at what he does. He will do just fine, I guess..

Cade grinned as the man broke into a smile. His hat bounced happily as he approached, stopping so suddenly both his cloak and hat jumped forward a bit. “Or so you would like me to believe.” He winked back and laughed. His voice seemed to echo, speaking both verbally and telepathically. Most usually, the two voices had a different emotion, but they eventually became tiresome to try to figure out which was which.

Cade looked back at the two forms nearby, too close for his liking. He looked the other man over curiously, taking in every detail. Not truly much to see, he appeared as uninteresting as himself, but that was still quite a statement, considering his own less-than sane person.

Cade grinned and watched him curiously. “And for what reason does one have for walking around in the middle of the night releasing such a wonderful stench? There are some dangerous things at night, you know.” He winked.

He watched Cade's eyes follow through Draco's tall liek stature. His stren and serious look gave him off as a serious type of man, which Draco usually was. Negotiations although were his very least specialty. He kindly bowed before Cade as it seemed to be the Vampire like way. Draco quickly looked to Cade's hands for weapons. Nothing was there but his cold pale fingers. Draco looking at him spoke as he replied to his comment.

"No I could have...Seriously."

Draco's voice struck stern and cold. He didn't like having others thing he was just some regular Vampire he was more he was a warrior of his own trades much like the trickster in front of him. Draco felt the wind slam into his face as his silver hair slithered through the air. The dull stars from above sank deeper into Draco's eyes as he heard the next comment made by the identified vampire, Cade.

"Well I could ask you the same thing but then again aren't you a vampire as well? What? Late nights don't get your attention much?"

Draco lightly cracked a Joke to the trickster and paused with a breathe and continued.

"As for the dangerous things I am one of them"

Cade simply smiled at his comment. “I believe you!” He said innocently. Despite his words the man-child wore a smug grin on his face. He pulled out one of his stilettos, looking it over carelessly, not intending to appear threatening. He licked the tip of the blade curiously, then the man spoke again. With a laugh, he impaled his tongue on the thin, pointed blade. He spat and put it away, laughing.

“Hmm. Touche. It seem’s you’ve caught me. I’d love to go out in the sun, but you see, I seem to have a problem with light sensitivity. Get sunburns easily, you see.” He winked and chuckled lightheartedly. His manner held such youthful carelessness it almost seemed to be dangerous. Like the insane man in a corner with nothing to lose, but this manner ran always with him.

Cade watched him coolly, switching moods quickly. “As am i.” He said in a mysterious voice. “Honestly, however. What is your reason for being here, of all places? Hardly likely to be looking for a midnight snack in this spot.” He looked around halfheartedly.

Looking back at the man, he intertwined his fingers and set them against his chin, watching him solemnly.

Draco was lightly taken by the man obviously. Draco watched as he took a stiletto out and licked it like he cherished it with curiosity. Draco was now almost confused at what the vampire's problem was. Draco heard his smooth words once more. It seemed that his remark didn't make much of a sarcastic effect. Then obviously responding to Draco's cold comment before switched his attitude. It seemed as Cade had a personality problem but Draco liked it. A vampire so versatile to the point of being insane was slightly what he was looking for. He needed vampires that knew what they were good at and if being insane was his then Draco would accept it. Draco licking his lips then answered to his next question.

"Honestly, Cade, was it?" Draco ask lightly already knowing it was his name.

"I smelled you and came looking for you. You see, I am a man of well, propositions. I could ask you the same thing but I clearly know you smelled me as well."

Draco breathed lightly and continued,

"I have a negotiation to make with one such as yourself. A deal may be more your term."

Draco paused and waited to see if the vampire took intrest in what Draco was getting at..

Cade watched him with amused eyes, shining with curiosity. The man had a deal to offer? What could he possibly have that would spark the interest of the man-child Cade? All truth be told, there were plenty of things that could do so. But that’s not the point.

Cade cocked an eyebrow as he watched the man’s eyes, listening intently. “And what is this deal you speak of?” He said with a chuckle.

Cade crossed his legs while standing, bending his knees and lifting one foot behind his kneecap, switching legs when it seemed he was losing balance. All the while, his attention was fully on Draco, mind racing.

Draco lightly observed his interest as he lightly grinned at him due to Cade's chuckle. Draco had heard of his question and yet waited to answer. Instead of getting to the point Draco observed him for any certain weapons he was unsure of. Draco was usually a man of trust and knew that this, Cade was a odd fellow. Draco lightly stepped forward as he moved his hand through the air to sink in the cold chilling wind of the winter soon to come. Draco then looking at Cade spoke as his eyes never left Cade's.

"Of course you would want to know the offer, however it's slightly different from an offer rather a commitment to doing things to help our own causes in this world. I have been roaming the shadows of loneliness for too long my kind friend, friend itself I have never had. It's been years since I've even decided to re-introduce myself to us other Vampires. I've been watching and waiting to come out a seek what i see in my mind as a golden age for us, Vampires."

Draco lightly lifted his hand to the tip of his hood and lightly pulled back as his hood slide down his silver bright hair. As his hood slide down his silver hair gleamed in the moonlight from above. His hair lingered to his shoulders as his white pale complexion showed a ruthless vampire of elder blood. His eyes glared forward toward Cade as he continued to talk.

"A age where I might say Vampires rule, rule their own territory. Our own group of the chosen to linger this world in a lovely form of death. I can see it my friend, I can see us wiping out those not needed in our wake of the moonlit nights soon to come. Cade our ancestor formed a unbinding alliance with all vampires that fought for their right in the world. They were furious and gods to those who were blind to find a way."

Draco stopped as his silver eyes continued to stay focused on Cade as he waited for the words of wisdom to sink into his mind as the silent night above sank it's light from the moon down on the two resting in the alleyway. Draco leaning against the wall smirked as he waited for his next questions, which Draco already had the answers to.

Cade cocked an eyebrow, noticing his continual reference to the word vampire. He was trying to get Cade into something. Not that it mattered. Cade highly doubted the man’s skill to hurt him, so if he could win him over through connection, clever wording, and ample reward, he could convince him.

Or perhaps through more gory reward.

Cade chuckled as he pulled his hood back. Perhaps this man was special. But that said nothing for him in Cade’s eyes. Birth alone doesn’t earn respect, at least not in the eyes of those not complete failures. Respect comes from deed.

Cade smiled simply at the implications of such a joining.

“Yes.” He said simply. It could put the man off balance after all his careful, intricate explanation. “Fancy words don’t mean a thing but to cover up something you have little to back up.” He explained with a maniacal grin.

Draco heard a simple yes from the man's mouth as if he agreed to Draco's idea. Draco lightly moved his right hand through his cloak and felt the nice cloth slip off as his hand reached the cold air. He then replied to Cade's comment.

"As far as covering up anything my kind friend. Why cover anything up when I can back up everything I say. As for this idea Cade, your the first I have come to. Perhaphs we could discuss some of your wants. I myself can see you always seem to be in a blood thirsty mood, and gore seems to be your middle name."

Draco stepped forward as his silver hair lingered at his shoulders. His nice stature moved with every step as he then stopped a few feet from Cade and spoke,

"As much as I like to be alone there is a first thing for everything. I'd like us to be able to trust one another..My loyalty is my own Cade, what of yours?"

Draco lightly grinning now waited as Cade seemed a bit enticed with the idea and perhaps he was think what Draco was thinking, only time would tell...

Cade chuckled at his words, glee evident on his face. He liked what the man was offering! Cade watched him steadily, not moving in any way. Standing perfectly still, a gargoyle in the alley.

“My loyalty? To myself and whatever interests me.” He said with a childish grin. “And this, my friend is quite an interesting offer.” He chuckled, clapping.

From his cloak, he pulled a deep red mask, not as shiny as it would be had it been normal, or under the possession of a non-vampire. He smiled as he looked at it. The face was solemn, holding pronounced features. The eyes were slits, nostrils hardly noticeable.

“Please my good man, do let me know when there is a development, perhaps the coven starting, someone who needs to be removed for the good of the guild.” He chuckled heartily.

He looked at Cade and Only saw a thirteen year old man. This was the complexion that some Vampires kept rather then a middle aged appearance. In truth Cade had to be around the same age as Draco. Draco dimmed his eyes lightly as to see what Cade was doing. A red mask was now held in his hand as if he was ready to do something marvelous with it as he chuckled. Draco spoke,

"I will let you know when your needed, although I do not wish to make this short. Maybe we could brainstorm on some goals, here tonight. Perhaphs eliminate someone that has crossed you?"

Draco Looked to Cade hoping he would stay the longer the two interacted the more comfortable they would be around one another. Draco's Silver eyes gave off a lightly blue tint, Draco Smiling lifted his hand and pushed his silver hair behind his shoulders.

"So what do you say? A Pact to help one another for a coven that in time will rule the everlasting nights in the world of Imythess?"

Draco's words sounded beautiful as they fluttered into the cold night. They were truth, real, and perfectly insane...
