| Welcome to Imythess, the border between dreams and reality. We hope you enjoy your visit. Imythess is a creative writing board where you narrate the story of a character in the medieval land of Imythess, on the planet Chaon. Each topic is an opportunity for your character to interact with the world and its peoples by cooperatively writing pieces of a story with other members, one post at a time. We call this role-playing, because you assume the identity of your character as if it were your own. In order to play, you must register an account for each character you would like to write about, and begin their tale by filling out their basic profile information: Race (human, elf, demon, etc.), class (warrior, mage, etc.), physical appearance, and any other personal details you would like to describe. You are also encouraged to come up with some background history information for what your character's life has been like up to the point at which their story in Imythess begins. There is no approval process or application required to join, so long as you follow the rules then you are free to write whatever character details you choose. Registration is simple, fast, and completely free. Create a character now! If you're already a member, you can log into your account below: |

The comment about Arthur did seem to be missed earlier. The entire flight he had felt odd and then Celebriel smiled at him. A little taken back by the smile he then looked around he then decided they could just wander around since he didn't have a particular idea to go. 'Jeez why do I react like that to her.' "Well lets just see what excitement we can find." It was just now as she stood next to him he started realizing why he might felt different around her. 'Do I like her in that way.... mabey.' He decided to test it by lowering his hand to hold hers as they walked through the celebration and see how he felt if she took it. This entire train of thought showed up as slight blush only recognizable to those familiar with half dragons on his face. As they walked through the town he enjoyed the excitement of the people pointing out anything interesting he saw to Celebriel trying to be ineresting as they walked. Unfortunatly he didn't notice nearly as much as she did. He watched as they passed people on stilts who were quite funny. He didn't catch any of the candies though he did try a few times. Once they moved on his eyes were caught by the tumblers on the stage. He had some acrobatic skills, but some of them were better than him. "Wow they are really good. I really would like to be able to do some of those things, but I need to practice more." He said this with a note of envy of their skill. He hoped Celebriel was enjoying herself too. "This is exciting don't you think?" |

Fara're looked around at all the merry making with a wide smile on her face. She had always loved stuff like this. Upon seeing some of the arcobats her smile widened more. She always loved watching things like that. That was part of the reason why she did some acrobatic training herself. Then a man seemingly to made of gold caught her eye. It was the half-dragon she had met in the mountains! If she remembered correctly his name was Kaess...or something like that. She had nothing better to do so she skipping over to him. The elf approached him from the back and then jumped on him wrapping her arms around his broad shoulders. "Long time no see handsome," she purred. It was then she noticed the silver woman. "Hi there!" she said happily. "This your boyfriend?" |

((OOC: Sorry I edited this about 3 times)) Astalder soared above the crowds and festivities that shifted like ocean waves beneath him. The sun's rays bounced off his white and cyan Winter Wings that played illusions on the shadow he cast. It'd been awhile since he'd been in Cascadia, seen it's beauty and felt it's talent. What better time to visit again than directly in the middle of a celebration for the ages. Astalder began his descent away from the ruckus so he wouldn't get trampled during his landing. The closer he got to the ground the wider his smile grew. The Elf elegantly touched down on the cobblestone road far enough away that he could see the party going on, but he was not in the center of the madness. "What do you say Thysi? Wanna see if we can start a group around us?" He asked his small Fae horse. Thysi nodded his head with a playful neigh. Astalder chuckled and proceeded to unpack his small harp and journal which held several songs he'd composed. He and Thysi continued to walk closer to the party looking for a prime spot to set up and begin playing. Now being a party Astalder saw the full beauty of it all. Men on stilts preformed tricks as they led a march, followed by jugglers, jesters, magicians, spell casters, and an endless array of other performers and people. Astalder clapped and laughed as one man on stilts took a large step over his head as if avoiding a bug. The Elf found an unoccupied bench nearby and decided that would be a good start. He sat down on the bench, looking across at a merchants stand. A man with a large cat stood stooped over something the Drow merchant had for sale. "Tobiath!" a figure had caught his eye. The man turned, looking for the source that had called his name. "Over here!" the man spotted Astalder and a toothy smile spread across his face. He walked over to Astalder, holding onto the hand of a woman. Tobiath was a dear friend of Astalder's. He normally resided in Taras, occasionally popping up in the bars for a drink or five. Astalder had several drinks with him, and even fought by his side a few times to fend off the evil that constantly plagued Taras. Tobiath was a single man, or so Astalder had thought. "Astalder! Come here you big oof!" the man laughed as he embraced the Elf tightly. "Oh my, where are my manners? Astalder I'd like you to meet my wife, Elrándihl." The young woman smiled holding out her hand. Astalder took it, bowed low, and planted a light peck on it. "Tobiath has told me everything about you, Astalder." Astalder shifted his eyes obviously "Oh my dear, I certainly hope he hasn't!" he joked elbowing Tobiath's side. The three of them burst into laughter that lasted a few minutes. "Astalder where have you been my friend? I haven't seen you in ages!" Astalder shook his head. "That story is far too solemn for the high spirits that reside here today on this occasion. Now I must ask you for a favor." "Of course my friend! Anything!" Astalder smiled and sat on the bench. He began to play a slow ballad on his harp, a beautiful peice he'd composed a long time ago. "Take the stage my friends!" he said with a playful tone. Tobiath smiled and took his wife's hand as they walked in front of Astalder. They began to spin slowly around the open floor before them. For humans they moved quite gracefully, enough to make Astalder's eyes twinkle in respect. Thysi, feeling a bit left out, began to do a dance of his own atop Astalder's head. The Elf chuckled as, sure enough, a small crowd of people formed around the minstrel and his dancers. Another couple had even joined to dance with Tobiath and Elrándihl. The day brought a remarkable amount of promise... ((OOC: Sorry I edited this about 3 times)) |

Kaess was surprised by Fara're’s sudden appearance he instinctively tried to shake her off before he realized it was a friend. He did get her off him during his panic. “Wha … boyfriend!? Um well…” He didn’t quite know what to say and was blushing strongly, because of his recent train of thought and the mention of boyfriend, but had complete missed the handsome comment earlier. Of course this blush was still hard to see under his golden scales, but he was clearly embarrassed. He was surprised to see the person who had just jumped him. ‘What was her name again?’ Trying to get his mind back out of chaos for a moment he said. “Oh it’s you the one I nearly crashed into in the mountains.” He looked like he was thinking then suddenly remembered her name. “Fara're right? And please don’t jump at me like that it is really unnerving.” He then looked a Celebriel to see her reaction to all of this. For some reason he was hoping she wasn't angry, but he wasn't quite sure why. |

Celebriel jumped back as the dark hair elf pounced on Kaess. "Wha?!" she cried. She put her hands up ready to launch a spell but soon saw that the elf had no hostile intent. Instead she seemed to know and be flirting with Kaess. She did not know why but that bothered her. "So who is this friend of yours who likes calling you handsome?" she asked. She then flushed a bit as the perky elf asked in he was her boyfriend. "Ah...uh no...no he is not," she stammered. (sorry for short post...not very creative right now) |

If you be wantin' somethin' sweet in ye mouth, have an ale. Wargrymm clapped his hands together and yelled can we get another ale over here please? Don't worry; it's on me. Wargrymm started to teeter a bit, starting to get a bit drunk. Wargrymm had a bad habit for overextending his drinking. He couldn't deny he was an alcoholic, but he wasn't a heavy alcoholic. It never seemed to be a problem. He may have a huge headache in the morning, but he'd get over it. I see that you carry two swords. I myself would use two weapons, but I lost it when I was exiled. The worse part is that it was my good battleaxe. Now all I got is me little twigchopper. I'll get another one sometime, though. |

Fefnir smiled, accepting the glass when the barman gave it to him. He took a sip, enjoying the sweet drink, the strange way that its taste mingled with the candy in his mouth. "I see that you carry two swords. I myself would use two weapons, but I lost it when I was exiled. The worse part is that it was my good battleaxe. Now all I got is me little twigchopper. I'll get another one sometime, though." Fefnir looked up, seeing the axe that the dwarf had referred to as the 'twigchopper'. In truth, he'd never met a dwarf before. His first encounter with a drow had been a few weeks ago, strangely pleasant it was. "Well..." he said, turning in his seat to see the festivities once more, "It looks like a ton of shopkeepers have come up for the celebrations. I wouldn't be surprised if one of them sold axes. Maybe you should try one of those?" he suggested, taking another sip of his ale. He had an urge to run out into the street and take one of the tickets that the stilted man was passing out, but contained himself. It was easy to get caught up in festivities like this, people running around happy as could be... It was just a contagious mood. |

"Appreciate your enthusiasm lad" said Wargrymm. Sadly, dwarves with no clans very rarely have money to buy an ax. It's alright though. Let us not worry about the financial troubles of mine." Wargrymm downed his ale and started to wobble a bit in his seat. He really was starting to get drunk. How many had Wargrymm downed again? Five? Ten? Or more? It didn't concern Wargrymm, however. He was a dwarf, and like he said, bones as hard as stones. A little ways off, Wargrymm saw a man breath fire, and then had an idea. "Would you happen to have a torch on you" he asked the bartender. |

Ruby's gaze was sharp and she knew how to not give herself away as she grew even more sure of herself and that coming to Cascadia was the best idea ever. She closed the box and handed it to a drow male who had shown up not far behind her. She signaled him to get the other box as she tuned back to Eliel and his lovely beast with a kind smile. "For something like that? It normally costs about 250 gold, and if it wasn't for such a stunning cat belonging to such a handsome drow, I would stick to that price. I think instead, I would ask 155 gold for it. I can assure you sir, it is worth every coin. The spell and fabric will most likely outlive you charming and clearly thrilled feline." The male came back then, a much smaller box in hand. She heard the man's boots on the cobblestones and turned to him, giving him the same smile. She nodded to her and held out the box. She took it and the male retreated back to his riding wolf without a word. Ruby turned back to Eliel, her eyes alight. "I do wonder though, if you would be willing to accept this, as a gift for being the first drow that did not come with me that I have seen thus far." She took out a finely made dark toned chain. It was very fine craftsmanship, drow made, of a very dark metal that did not reflect the light. It was a metal favored by many drow because of the tone. "I'm sure you can see, it is fine drow metal. It's sadly, not something many other races seem able to appreciate. It was made with the breath of drow magic, which I'm sure that one like yourself can tell." She held it out for him with the ease and grace of any drow female. Out of the corner of her eye she saw another person peering at her wears. She motioned with her free hand to one of the males to act. He came over and greeted the young human... but all humans were young to any elf. She let her attention stay on Eliel for the moment. The stilt walkers had moved on down the street, still handing out what they had to all that they could. The stage not far from Ruby was also taken up by a man with three crates. He set up three stands as the tumblers finished fathering up their tips and placed a box before each stand. Once the tumblers had departed, he came to the front of the stage and took a bow, his cloak bellowing out behind him as he did so. Once he straghtened he looked out into the crowd and said, "Ladies and Gentlemen, Boys and Girls of all ages. I am Majorn and these are my Mystical Birds!" He turned to the stands and the boxes, and as he did so, a bit of wind opened all three boxes and three birds flew out, one for each box. They each landed on a perch different from the one the box they had emerged from was before. He had a Firebird, a Thunderbird, and an Icebird. The crowd burst into applause as he started his own performance. The birds did all sorts of areal tricks as the show went on. |

Alice that had been standing examining the things around Rubys wagon did not really find anything she wanted to have. The elf/demoness sighed calmly and stretched her back slightly. Then she moved her gaze around the area and she noticed that the saleswoman was still talking to that other man with the cat. Well Alice was a calm person and she could wait until the woman was done with what she was doing. The sorceress tilted her head to the side when she heard the voice from the stage and she turned around, she smiled slightly when she birds flew out from there cages. She could see what kind of birds it was, beautiful creatures really. She watched the show for a moment as the animals was doing there tricks, but then she looked back at the different things Ruby was selling. Yes she had not found anything she could use right away, but then again there was more equipment here then was one could see with the naked eye. Alice was sure to find something and even if she did not she was sure the saleswoman could help her find something, she had after all found things for that other man in the blink of an eye. |

Eliel chuckled at the strutting cat. “Very well then, 155 gold.” He smiled and placed the gold on the counter. Eliel saw her take the box, then turn to him. He noted she did not open it immediately, seeming to know what was in it. She was giving it to him for being a drow, and the man delivered it while he was here, as if on cue. Eliel accepted the chain, holding it in his hand and rolling it. Yes, it was indeed what she said it was. Drow made, this was elven craftsmanship. It was certainly drow metal and magic. But what exactly the magic was, he could not tell. The hilt of his scimitar used some of this very metal, but it’s being blessed covered he magical portion, covering it up so he could not compare the necklace to it. He smiled at her. Eliel smiled as the man showed the birds, admiring the three. The thunderbird reminded him of abel. Turning back to ruby, he nodded and bowed a little o her, out of reflex for her being a drow woman. “I thank you, madam.” He said with a smile. He slipped the chain in his pocket inconspicuously, wishing to look it over before wearing it. It was all so very suspicious and Eliel was a wary, if not paranoid man. |
