| Welcome to Imythess, the border between dreams and reality. We hope you enjoy your visit. Imythess is a creative writing board where you narrate the story of a character in the medieval land of Imythess, on the planet Chaon. Each topic is an opportunity for your character to interact with the world and its peoples by cooperatively writing pieces of a story with other members, one post at a time. We call this role-playing, because you assume the identity of your character as if it were your own. In order to play, you must register an account for each character you would like to write about, and begin their tale by filling out their basic profile information: Race (human, elf, demon, etc.), class (warrior, mage, etc.), physical appearance, and any other personal details you would like to describe. You are also encouraged to come up with some background history information for what your character's life has been like up to the point at which their story in Imythess begins. There is no approval process or application required to join, so long as you follow the rules then you are free to write whatever character details you choose. Registration is simple, fast, and completely free. Create a character now! If you're already a member, you can log into your account below: |

A cool breeze grazed on the tops of tall grass in the deserted meddow and bits of seeds and loose stems took flight. The starch winter was slowly being replaced by spring, but Theron loved when you could see the life and death live together, fight together. Autumn was preferable, but that instance between winter and spring is timeless. Rustling out from under a bleak, twisted tree that already housed both blossoms and leaves, the would-be pirate continued his walk through the hills and grass towards the Memphian Falls. Local lore, of all things, brought him here. Legend of a giant crystal was a hard one to pass up, especially since he was already here and completely bored with the local tavern (which, of course, composed mainly of men at his time of visit). Another breeze swished across the field and halted Theron's advance once more. He took in the fresh smells of nature so far from civilization. Closing his eyes, he raised his face to the sky, letting the wind comb his hair and the grasses brush his hands. When the wind stopped, chirps echoed around him from both the crickets below him and the birds above him. He sighed in relaxation before walking into the crashing falls. The scene was completely different, but all the more beautiful when he breached the next hill. The waterfall was in clear view, the near-mountain it fell from rose dramatically above the horizon he was used to seeing. Rainbows flickered here and there as the shadows of nearby trees played with the sun. The air cooled dramatically as Theron aproached, but the sun continued to offer a warmth as it hugged his body in the darking orange of evening. Theron hadn't planned on staying long on this visit, as he set out late, and arrived even later than he had expected. It would grow very cold around the falls in a few hours, and he should make a fire behind some of the hills to keep warm for the night. But nevertheless, he was here to inspect the area first before venturing in, and he stepped forward to do such a thing. |

Although the sights were more than beautiful the cold that bit through her made her wonder just why she had decided to come here in the first place. Then the alcohol she had drunk earlier hit her in a dizzying blow, she fought to regain her balance and did so with a few awkward side steps. There had been too many men stalking her around the tavern, offering food, drinks, other things which she did not want and was not in the mood for. In fact today had found her in a sour mood until this point. The dampening point of her day had started the minute she woke up and found her favourite dress shredded, and she felt she could only blame the barmaid (who of course had access to a key) whose husband had been drooling over her the night before. From there it only got worse and worse. She did not care to recall much of it, just drink it away. Thus Memphian Falls. Her golden hair framed her delicate face and cascaded down her back, most of it buried beneath the elegant cloak she had wrapped around herself. It still wasn’t enough against the whole cold, although she had always preferred the warmth herself. Soon the sound of the falls floated to her ears and she turned her body and headed towards it. The few trees that were scattered around she used as support so that she wouldn’t topple over. She was glad that out here no one would be around to see her make a fool of herself should she fall. She also didn’t feel like sobering up to hold an intelligent conversation, let alone coy or sultry. Her head suddenly swan and she leaned her weight back against a tree and sunk to the ground. She looked out over the waters, churning beneath the force of the falls. Burying her head in her hands she took a few moments to compose herself before she tried rising again. She pushed herself up from her knees and leaned heavily against the trunk for a moment before she pulled herself up completely. Once she stumbled away from the tree she spotted someone... who looked very familiar too her. She had good vision, even in this state. It was. . . Theron. Lilith quickly sat back down and looked out at the water as though she hadn’t seen him yet. She took a few seconds to compose herself and hoped her breath wouldn’t give her away as soon as he saw her. |

The water gushed and sprayed around the ever-wary genasi. Eyes darted around the nearby landscape, mostly centered on the immediate surroundings of the pool. His feet nimbly hopped from one rock and patch of land to another as he avoided the slippery spots on the ground. Making his away around the back of the falls, an enormise grin split his face as the cavern stared back at him. "Bing-o..." he murmured. Taking another glance around to keep his supposed secret to himself, Theron felt rather comfortable in this seclusion the hills provided. There seemed so many of them that he couldn't see even a quarter-mile away, less in some areas. With the deep oranges blanketing the sky, Theron thought it best to warm for the night before dozing off; he headed directly for the hill he came down, but he stopped as something caught his interest out of the corner of his eye. Sure enough, some entity sat under the tree he had previously planned to make camp at. At first glance, Theron would swear he had ghost following him now. The mix of paranoia and curiosity goaded him into a visit with this person despite the fact the sun hid her features very well, but gave him or her a halo he couldn't resist. Upon closer inspection, he confirmed his hopes of a woman, but he wasn't ready to drink in the sights of Lilith again. He stopped a few yards from her and pocketed his pants. As much as he wished he didn't like this woman, denying his emotions was even worse. He eyed her a moment before dawning his ever-so-charming smile with the softening of his violet eyes. "You must have missed me quite a bit, lass, to follow me this far into the lack of..." He looked around himself, West behind Lilith, then circled North to East behind him. "...civilization." he lifted his head and cocked it to the side slightly in a small realization. "You know, everytime I run into you..." He pointed a finger at her before pointing the same finger behind him at the lake. "I seem to have found a decent body of water. Might luck be on our side?" It was easy to tell she was chilly, and why she was sitting down in such a hurried position was beyond Theron. He thought to himself that she must not be feeling well, either. He took the cloak off of his bare skin and handed it out to her. As soon as he did, his nipples stood erect and a few goose bumps ran up his back. He held it out nonetheless, as he knew he'd be making a fire soon. "What brings a gem like you to a place like this? I was rather hoping the rumors of a crystal was actually a crystal, but I'd settle for something as beautiful as you for the night." His smile turned into a grin at the end of that sentence. A jovial grin, but still somewhat serious. |

Lilith smiled at Theron, although she didn’t rise to greet him. “Ah Theron are we playing a game already?” She said the words as though she were flirting with the man, instead of reliving their previous time together. Each knew the other a little too well when it came to how they handled the opposite sex. She gazed out at the crystalline lake, the waters surging under the falls. “Perhaps luck has followed us where civilization has not.” Lilith reached out and accepted the cloak from him, wrapping the material around her body and soaking in its warmth. Something about alcohol actually restricting the blood vessels and making one colder, she never truly believed it until now. Lilith smiled at his words, but the ones that caught her ear were the ones that mentioned the crystal hidden within the caverns. “Perhaps for the night a gem could share with a pirate. It is what they are usually after.” Lilith waved to the ground in a motion that invited Theron to sit. “Shall I call you captain?” Lilith laughed coyly. “Once the night is over I hope you aren’t planning to leave me behind when such a treasure could be ours.” She stressed the ‘ours’ and looked up at Theron, wondering if her beauty could outdo a pirtate’s greed. She would have to see, and if he refused she had the whole night to sway his mind to a more... reasonable answer. |

Theron smiled at the invitation of playing a game. Games were fun, and Theron was good; but in his experience, women were better and he didn't mind one bit. Her next statement, however, would be one of the absolutely few times that the shine in Theron's eye fades for a fraction of a second. The sadness of the world on his shoulders wasn't something he kept redily available, but whenever someone mentions luck-of-the-draw with humanity, it tweaks something in Theron for that split second, barely enough time to notice. He was glad he was given the chance to cover it up. And so he bent over to sit down next to Lilith with his back to the setting sun. He grinned at her statement and chuckled at her question. He put an arm around her and pulled her in close to him. "A mighty fine idea, lass. I would have done much more to have ya call me such a thing, but if this is all it takes, I think we can get along just fine." His face was close to hers, turned that little bit that was unnecessary for a typical conversation. When she looked up at him, all he could do was agree. He murmured, "Well, I'll see what I can do." He had skipped her literal question and answered the inferred one behind it. He leaned forward and planted a slow kiss on her supple lips to seal the deal. |

((XD my bad... oh well sorry.)) Lilith returned the kiss, cutting it of a little early, even a captain had to wait for nice things. She smiled at him and wondered how much alcohol could be tasted on her breath alone. She decided that for right now she didn’t really care that much. Good company, nice night. Her eyes sparkled as she gazed at Theron, his face very close to her own, their breath mingling in the night air. She wasn’t sure how long she sat and stared at him, it felt much longer than it actually was. She shivered and moved in closer to him. “What do you say to a fire, Captain?” A smile played in her eyes, and she moved her hand so that it brushed lightly against his leg with every breath she took. “Set up camp for the night?” This time she was the one to move her face a little closer to Theron’s so their noses brushed, she didn’t lean in for the kiss though, not yet. She wanted to see just how long he could hold out, or if he would kiss her right away. A game already, she smiled. She would have to work on changing his answer as well. ‘I’ll see’ didn’t really satisfy Lilith, but then again she wondered if he knew that she would change his mind over the course of their time together. Then she did close the gap between them and let her lips play against his for a moment. She wouldn’t take it farther than that yet… |

It wasn't until Lilith pulled away that Theron caught the waft of alcohol. Even under its influence, she was still sharp as ever; Theron didn't like that at all. That meant if he was going to win an argument with her, he'd actually have to stay sober! Theron never did like the clever ones as much... Challenging was good, too challenging was very very bad. But sadly, Theron already knew he was in over his head with this fine piece of art. As she gazed up at him, he knew her game was on. Unfortunately for her, Theron's romantics led into more that just lust, but some into alluring. He could play this game dangerously. “What do you say to a fire, Captain?” Theron's eyes warmed at the touch of her hand; the corners of his mouth crooked in a very slight, but very sly smile as he reached up and placed a hand on her side, brushing his thumb across the 3rd and 4th rib up, and sliding, following it aross her front, grazing the bottom of her bossom. He breathed into her quietly after their noses brushed, letting her breathe him in, "I'm shy on tents, love, but propping our clothing against some lifted branches should provide sufficient shelter..." Which he planned on doing anyway. "As for a fire...?" He lifted his head upwards in a pretend thought, brushing his lips against the tip of her nose, then back down, "I didn't think to bring any tinder... We'll have to find other ways of keeping warm tonight." He stopped breathing and opened his mouth slightly as she brushed her lips against his. Leaning his head to the side, he tapped upward on her jawline with the bridge of his nose; an offering aimed at her neck. |

She shivered a little under his touch, her senses seemed to sharpen, although still not as much as she would have liked, especially around Theron. They danced the two of them, it was deadly and one misstep could lead to a loss. Lilith wouldn’t lose! She had to have every step perfect, had to play all her cards right, and she found that it would be more difficult now that she had been to the tavern. She almost wished she hadn’t had anything to drink, or hadn’t stumbled here, but at the same time she liked the challenge. "I'm shy on tents, love, but propping our clothing against some lifted branches should provide sufficient shelter..." Lilith shot him a little smile, one that entered her eyes as a sly look more than one of amusement. Well played. She thought. She was sure that she could do better though. Perhaps she would start with the goal of getting a tent up. Her eyes sparkled. “Now, now Captain. I’m a modest woman,” Lilith was well aware of the humour in her words, but she hoped Theron wouldn’t be stupid enough to laugh. “Besides” She ran her fingers along the side of his face, following the bone of his jaw. “It would get rather ... dirty without something to ... lie in.” She raised her eyebrows at him and tilted her head to the side under the guide of his finger. Lilith lifted one of her own hands and buried it in Theron’s hair, giving him a minute before she pulled him away again. Her fingers still worked their way up his leg and she moved her lips so that they brushed his as she spoke. “Captain,” She exclaimed, “I’m not that easy,” A small laugh passed her lips. "Perhaps if I was a little more comfortable," |

His smiled widened when he lifted his gaze to hers, denied access to her neck. The gleam in her eyes was all a bunch of fun and games, but when Theron played hard-ball, he was up by two on this dame. And as soon as her eyes sparkled that little bit, he knew she was up to something. “Now, now Captain. I’m a modest woman,” His smiled widened till his teeth shone white in the fading twilight. It sounded more like a joke than sarcasm, but Theron took it as sarcasm nonetheless. He let her trace his jawline and tilted his head slightly to the side with his eyes closed, enjoying it. Before lowering his head, he gripped his cloak from around Lilith and gave a jerk, all the while shifting their positions so that he was almost completely on his back, she was ontop of him, and the cloak was over them both. "In that case, my finest lady, I'll cover us both and give you something to lie on." He deliberately stressed "on" instead of "in." His toothy smile hadn't faded a bit. With his hand still at her side, he moved his other to the side of her neck, running his thumbnail down the muscle next to her artery and eyeing it hungerly. At the same time, he took his index and middle finger and massaged the back of her head where her neck meets her skull. |

Oh how she wanted to stop, yet at the same time keep going. Her body responded to his and yet this wasn’t on her terms either. She supposed she could let this go a little farther without harm, although she knew she was losing and that annoyed her a little as well. But oh how long had it been since she’d been in experienced arms? In fact it was odd that she never usually let it get this far. She smiled and let her body relax as Theron’s finger massaged her neck. Lilith pulled away again and lowered her lips to his own, but she never kissed them. They met, brushing as she moved her mouth over his and towards his neck. She kissed along his check until she met his jaw. She pulled back again, a little breathless. She wanted to laugh a little carefree, the alcohol had affected her more than she knew. She gazed into his eyes, her own light green’s gazing back at him. She let them flick over his face, studying his features. She would ask for the tent again in a minute. She lowered her face back to his and nipped at his ear before she whispered into it. “Hmm Captain,” She started, but found that she had nothing clever to say and that annoyed her as well. She wasn’t supposed to be the one getting caught up in this it was supposed to be the other way around. She pulled away again. “Let’s go swimming,” Unlike her but she needed to get her bearings again. |

He leaned his head away from her, but at the same time moved his neck toward her, giving her permission, but did all he could not to grind his teeth when she stopped short. He opened his mouth and leaned his head forward menicingly, catching a tooth on her jawline. Sharp, but not enough to draw any blood; just enough for that little bit of pain when she pulled away from him. He watched her watch him, and knew she had lost when her wits lost to the alcohol. That sparkle in her eye told him everything he needed to know. When she bit his ear, he had to chew on his lip to not give anything away. It was something he couldn't resist. But when she pulled away this time, his eyes had spoken for him, whether he wanted them to or not. They screamed loss. "Wait..." He said, slightly rushed. He paused with a calm, "The water's freezing. Stay here..." He pulled her body into his. "Let us warm each other tonight, for tomorrow, we'll be rich." He swore in his head. Swore profusely. He had won, they both knew it, but the water would be absolutely freezing at this point as the sun had dropped below the horizon and she was in no condition to swim. Besides, he had just gotten warm again from looking over the falls from earlier in the evening. He let out a mental sigh. She would gloat over this, he knew; He regretted. |

Lilith smiled, she knew... in way they had both won. Either he had forgotten of the treasure she had asked him to share, or if he knew he had just given a share to her. Either way they both got a little something out of it. Lilith let out a laugh when he pulled her back down towards him and she kissed him with passion this time, letting him get a taste of what she could be... what she could do. Lilith bit his bottom lip, not too hard but enough to issue a little shock. She pulled away from his again, not far, their lips still brushed, but enough to end their kiss. She moved her mouth back to his neck and kissed close to his ear again. ”Rich...” She purred the word into his ear before she nipped that too. Then she worked her lips down his neck with a mix of teeth and tongue until she kissed his collar bone. She pulled away from him then, both her hands had worked their way up so that she had them on his shoulder’s pinning him to the ground. She let out a shaky breath and a light smile. ”Ah Theron, you will have to work a little bit past tonight to get much more than this,” She was prepared to push him back to the ground if he tried to lift himself up. She would rather be sober, but she enjoyed this as well. ”I hope you don’t have any...” She lowered her head and kissed his collar bone, where his shoulder connected to his neck, his neck, just under his jawline. Then she bite him again lightly. ”Complaints.” |

Oh, but how little he cared for her partial victory. As he pulled her in she kissed him and he took full advantage of it, wrapping his arms behind her waste, pulling her into him. His eyes closed when she moved to his neck and his back arched slightly when she bit his ear. He lifted himself slightly when she pulled away, to follow her wherever she wanted to go, but was unexpectedly halted by a pair of hands on his shoulder. He hadn't remembered them moving. Her breath shook when she spoke; he knew she was enjoying this just as much as he, so why was she continuing to tease him. He took in her view with a sigh as she spoke. He could have added a multitude of things to say, if not a couple things to do. He had tested her hold on him, and it wasn't very strong since she was nearly half his weight. But nonetheless, he obeyed quietly. Oddly enough, if it was any other woman, he would have simply convinced them otherwise; he actually respected this one, but would never admit it to anyone. However, he took full advantage of her dropping back within reach. When she went for his collarbone, he kissed the top of her head, taking in the smell of her hair. As she moved up, he moved down to nibble on the top of her ear. He continued down her neck with kisses and nips. He whispered into her neck with a warm breath, "Just be careful when you get me worked up, love... I can get bestial." He moved down to her shoulder and gave it a gentle bite, but wasn't very soft. |

”Mmm,” Lilith enjoyed Theron’s touch, but she was still aware of the alcohol in her system and she hated that she would be doing this under its watchful gaze. Adrenaline had shaken off the worst of its affects but her actions couldn’t be 100% accounted for. It bothered her in a way. She pulled away once again and shifted her body down. She placed both hands on his chest and lowered her head so it rested on them. She stared at Theron’s face from her odd position, listening to his light heartbeat. “Bestial hm?” She seemed to actually be pondering over the aspect of him turning into a beast. Much more fun when sober she decided. Yet still fun enough to tease while drunk. ”Then perhaps I should stop,” She raised her head off his chest and gazed at him again, tilting her head to the side. ”Now Captain I believe you are a man who enjoys a challenge... am I right? Now wouldn’t it be more challenging if I had my whole wits about me. How much more... enjoyable...” Lilith kissed his collarbone. “How much more... fulfilling...” She kissed the hollow of his neck. “How much more... Pleasurable...” She kissed twice down his chest then raised herself back to him once more. “Wouldn’t you agree?” |

When Lilith moved down from her previous position, Theron gave a slight, relieved shifting of his shoulders. As much as he liked the foreplay, being held down or tied up still bothered him quite a bit, due to his history with that sort of thing. Those beatings weren't nearly as fun as this one. He watched her watch him, admiring her gaze, her face, her eyes, her everything. It still befuddled Theron why such a woman would be after someone with his status. Yeah, he was a clever fellow, but a Captain had to be to survive his crew; Theron wasn't the only Captain out there, and definately not the luckiest. As soon as she started talking about a challenge, Theron's gaze grew... questioningly sarcastic. His lips twitched everytime she made contact with his body, but his face held together for the most part. He knew what she was up to, and knew that she wasn't nearly as sly in her implications as she could have been, which was what the implication was in itself. He tapped up on the bottom of her chin with a smile, "Ya don't have to be shy with your words, love. If you want to wait, I can oblige. Most of 'em don't know it, but it's always her decision." He shrugged slightly and leaned forward to kiss her forhead, "But I concur; a sober you would be a lot of fun." He winked and leaned back down. Unfortunately for her, this meant to Theron that the deal of sharing was off. Whether or not she fought for it later... who could tell? |
