| Welcome to Imythess, the border between dreams and reality. We hope you enjoy your visit. Imythess is a creative writing board where you narrate the story of a character in the medieval land of Imythess, on the planet Chaon. Each topic is an opportunity for your character to interact with the world and its peoples by cooperatively writing pieces of a story with other members, one post at a time. We call this role-playing, because you assume the identity of your character as if it were your own. In order to play, you must register an account for each character you would like to write about, and begin their tale by filling out their basic profile information: Race (human, elf, demon, etc.), class (warrior, mage, etc.), physical appearance, and any other personal details you would like to describe. You are also encouraged to come up with some background history information for what your character's life has been like up to the point at which their story in Imythess begins. There is no approval process or application required to join, so long as you follow the rules then you are free to write whatever character details you choose. Registration is simple, fast, and completely free. Create a character now! If you're already a member, you can log into your account below: |

Pheonix's laughing only served to embed his embarassment as he wrapped the cloak around him again, yawning slightly as he looked to the ground before smirking at the comment about setting her on fire. -Like I would do that...!- Thomas thought, soon countering it with a -Well it was in the heat of the moment...- response. He shrugged as Pheonix asked about how well he had slept, nodding absently towards her. The wolf leaping on him had caused a reaction to Pheonix, their laughter seeming to ring in unison as the wolf eventually stepped down, Thomas reaching back to stroke its fur. "Well enough." Thomas replied gently, still a little tired. "And it seems this wolf wants to be friendly, like the others." It was only then, with daylight pouring in, that the others were actual sand wolves, though one or two looked more like grey wolves, while the one Thomas was playing with was more red than sandy-coloured, Thomas looking closer to discover that the wolf was the actual one that he healed. "Uhm...mhm..." He looked again as he mumbled out an assortments of hums and mhms and such, this time hardly telling much difference at all. -Perhaps I need to wake up...- Thomas thought as he looked to the wolf before him, something in his mind assuming that the wolf wanted to... -Surely I am imagining things now, a wolf wanting to travel with me?- Thomas thought to himself, looking into the wolf's eyes. Deciding to put off the thought, he reached into his bag and grasped the meat he kept there, using the "Create Spark!" spell once more to cook the meat so that he may have something for breakfast. |

Pheonix yawned again, more out of lazyness than actually being tired. She started pacing back and forth for no reason in particular. Pheonix was just being ... well, Pheonix. Unable to sit still for very long, and always ready for something to do. Stretching her wings somewhat, Pheonix glanced around. "Heeey .... there's different kinds of wolves here. Heh. They are a rather assorted pack. Sand wolves, grey wolves, your friend there is a red wolf ... kinda like Gen is." ((Meh ... shortness)) |

Thomas could only blink at Pheonix's comment about the wolves. He was not seeing things! They were different breeds and colours...so many of them too. Perhaps it is something of a likeness for a joining of all kinds that the wolves seem to have, even accepting mages and other bi-ped creatures. Of course, to Pheonix's advantage, she had a wolf herself. Thomas? Didn't have one until now, it seems. Continuing to cook the meat, Thomas noticed something licking his ear. "Hey, hey! What is it?" He called, not turning back. He then noticed two paws swiftly prodding him, sending him forward and placing the spark against the meat, igniting the skin. Thomas became lost and, before he knew what he was doing, he had called out "Create Water!" and water suddenly came awash over him, the meat and the red wolf behind him. He fell silent, not wishing to even comment on the situation. Instead he turned back to look at the red wolf behind him and, seeing the quadra-ped he couldn't help but laugh. The wolf seemed to dot he same to him before he shaken his fur, flailing a spray of water everywhere, Thomas shielding himself with his wrist and arm. With little effect. Sighing and shaking his head, he glanced back to the wolf, a smirk coming across his face. "I think I should call you something that suits you...and right now, I'm thinking 'Playful Pooch'." |

Pheonix didn't always travel with Genesis, though it was pretty odd how they came to be companions as they were. A chance meeting in the woods, and then again as Pheonix saved Gen from a hunter's trap. After that, they haven't parted ways for the longest time. Pheonix watched the event, obviously amused as she'd laughed. Grinning, Pheonix sat in the grass, having nothing better to do. Turing to Thomas, she laughed again before asking. "Wellll .... What do you wanna do now. As great this palce is ... can't stay here forever." |

He looked across to Pheo as she spoke, Thomas nodding to her words, obviously agreeing with her. Yet despite the fact that he parted his lips to respond, he did not actually respond to it, instead delving into his thoughts. -Of course we can't stay here forever, though it is possible, but where do we go? Wait...where does she want to go? I should ask her that, seeing as how I know nothing about any place here...especially without a map.- Shaking his head as if waking up from a daze, Thomas finally responded. "So where do you want to go, Pheo? I mean I don't know squat about this place - this realm - so I don't know any place we could go to. East, West, North, South...nothing is familiar to me here, so I can't say which way we are to go." He then adds with a shrug "Besides, I thought you might have a place you want to go to first." Considering this fact, Thomas nodded and looked around, turning back to the red wolf that was nearby. He clicked his fingers and the wolf ran straight to him, Thomas smiling as he approached, watching its deep red fur flailing with the wind. -I know what I can call you now...- Thomas thought for a moment, smirking as he pondered the name in his mind. The wolf looked on at Thomas, wondering what he was doing as he seemed to have spaced out. It chirped at Thomas just as he nodded to agree on the name. "Should I call you Firefox, then?" Thomas asked the four-legged creature before him, smiling as the wolf chirped and barked in cheer, seeming to be happy with this name. "I wonder if any other wolf has been called by that name..." Thomas muttered absently, but Firefox didn't care - instead, he leaped onto Thomas with intent of licking his face clean, Thomas trying to turn his head away from all the fuss so that he could breathe. |

"Where ... to go? I dunno. Doesn't really matter." She shrugged. "Thing is. I don't have a particular destination in mind. Never do, actually. I am just an aimless wanderer." Flicking an ear, Pheonix glanced around the place. Tryign to think of where they actually could head. Just to get out of the desert. "Oh! I heard of this city somewhere in this desert. Istan or soemthing like that." However, Pheonix didn't really have a clue as to where it might be.... |

The pride of the wolf subsiding, Firefox backed off from Thomas' face, allowing him to look to Pheonix as she spoke of another place in the desert. -Well she sure does know more than me, then.- Thomas thought in ignorance. He looked around him, watching as the wolves seemed to play among themselves, content with their relaxed lifestyle. -It's still odd that I've never found the time to try and find peace with a wild creature before.- He thought as he turned back to Pheonix. "Well I am still uncertain about this place and I am sure that, despite us becoming friends, we cannot remain together for too long." Thomas spoke to the figure before him. "Besides, we may appear suspicious if we were to travel together." He then looked to his forehead, remembering his jewel and the problems that caused before. "I may not have this thing in my flesh there but I doubt that it would remain that way for too long." Understanding that his words were harsh, he sighed as he rose. "It's nothing against you, Pheo. You are a great friend, which is why I feel it is best we part now. Often I have faced so many trials because I did not let go of my friends before trouble began. I would not want the same fear over you." Using his staff to help, he started to walk off before stopping. "Besides, we may yet see each other once again." Nodding in agreement to his own words, he tapped his staff against his leg, a signal for Firefox to follow him. A yelp passed as he came by his side soon followed by several more. Thomas turned to find the group of wolves looking to Pheo and Thomas, tails between their legs and whimpers mixed with light barks. -They know we're leaving.- Thomas thought as he looked upon them. -They know that they may not see us again.- He had nothing he could give them material-wise, so he decided to bless the place they drank. "Create Water!" With those words the pool filled with water, rising up and coming to meet the wolves' legs at the back, tickling their paws. They seemed pleased with the motion and decided to chirp to Thomas, as if bidding him a safe journey. Thomas could not help but smile, feeling that these wolves could show emotions just as easily as humans if given the chance to be noticed. It was thinking along this enigma that caused him to smile to Firefox who, while this was going on, was passing among his long-time friends, as if saying goodbye to them. He knew he was going, too. -It has to be instinct.- Thomas thought. |

[[Wow...can't believe I've been MIA for so long. Iunno if you're still around or not, but I replied anyways. ^.^;]] Pheonix was silent, just listening to her friend as he alked to her. She was actually not surprised that they would soon take differnt paths. Pheonix had never stuck around with the same people for very long. Some friends had disappeared during her time visiting other lands, and some just forgot about her completely. There were few who Pheonix ever met up with more than once. BUt she somehow didn't mind. After all, she figured whatever happened did because it was supposed to. And that was how things were. She smirked, always one to keep spirits up. "Me, suspicious? Nah. You though..." She laughed, always crackign some joke or another. Her gaze shifted around the little oasis, to the wolves, and to the water. With a twitch of one ear, she looked back over at Thomas' little 'gift' to the pack here. "Don't worry, none. I'll see ya again I'm sure. I'll buy you a drink or something sometime." She gave a quick grin, showing off one fang before turning in another direction. "Well...I suck at goodbyes. So, I guess I'll just see ya laters then." Having nothing else to do or say in regards to goimg their seperate ways, Pheonix started off, with Genesis bounding off to follow alongside her. Pheonix gave a little wave over her shoulder before she dissappeared past the foliage surrounding this oasis.. |
