Imythess is a creative writing board where you narrate the story of a character in the medieval land of Imythess, on the planet Chaon. Each topic is an opportunity for your character to interact with the world and its peoples by cooperatively writing pieces of a story with other members, one post at a time. We call this role-playing, because you assume the identity of your character as if it were your own. In order to play, you must register an account for each character you would like to write about, and begin their tale by filling out their basic profile information: Race (human, elf, demon, etc.), class (warrior, mage, etc.), physical appearance, and any other personal details you would like to describe. You are also encouraged to come up with some background history information for what your character's life has been like up to the point at which their story in Imythess begins. There is no approval process or application required to join, so long as you follow the rules then you are free to write whatever character details you choose. "Well I'll beh a sailer's daughter. Ya found it!" Terra jumped up and ran over toward her newfound friend. "Where on earth did ya find dis? I havn't seen it anywhere, an' suddenly it pops outta ya' coat like a' newborn baby." Terra laughs and snatches the key from her willing hands. "Now alls weh gotta do is to open 'er." The blonde slowly turns the key inward and to the right. The top of the chest popped open, aas well as Terra's eyes when she saw what was inside. "This be the biggest pot a' gold we've found yet!" Terra was obviously excited, she tried to make a small irish accent to exercise the thought of a pot of gold being a Leprechaun. |

Kyane giggled slightly as she saw how pleased and happy Terra was that she had the key. Peeking over her shoulder, her eyes widened as she saw how much gold was in the chest. Well, I found the key in the cave after we killed the Pirate Captain. But damn! I've never seen so much gold in my life! How much do you think all this is worth? |

"Dun ask meh.....Ima thinking more along the lines of millions...." Terra's eyes seemed to gleam, reflecting the gold's glow. It seemed that Terra was the happiest she had been in years. Obviously it's not every day that her crew stumbles upon such riches out of nowhere. She realized that that chests contained money, which was why she was making the trade....but she had no idea how much. "How much do ye think it is??" |

Well, I think millions sounds just about right! But, what are you going to do with all the money? Kyane asked, as she leaned against the wooden wall, still looking at all the gold right before her eyes. Her eyes moved to look at Terra, and again, a smile crossed her face. |
