| Welcome to Imythess, the border between dreams and reality. We hope you enjoy your visit. Imythess is a creative writing board where you narrate the story of a character in the medieval land of Imythess, on the planet Chaon. Each topic is an opportunity for your character to interact with the world and its peoples by cooperatively writing pieces of a story with other members, one post at a time. We call this role-playing, because you assume the identity of your character as if it were your own. In order to play, you must register an account for each character you would like to write about, and begin their tale by filling out their basic profile information: Race (human, elf, demon, etc.), class (warrior, mage, etc.), physical appearance, and any other personal details you would like to describe. You are also encouraged to come up with some background history information for what your character's life has been like up to the point at which their story in Imythess begins. There is no approval process or application required to join, so long as you follow the rules then you are free to write whatever character details you choose. Registration is simple, fast, and completely free. Create a character now! If you're already a member, you can log into your account below: |

Onikage countined walking towards the edge of town. But just as he was about to reach the edge, a group of eight townsfolk blocked him. He frowned. They had haulted him. That is never a good thing. "You shall not pass demon!" The leader yelled. "Like I was going to let you block me and live to see the sun rise tomarrow." A replied, his voice heavy with sacrasm. The leader noded for them to insolate Onikage. Onikage just smirked evily. "Today you shall die demon! You and your kind have wreck chaos on our village long enough!" Onikage just laughed evily. "Just bring it. I see you have come to meet your fate." The leader had grown sick of being insulted by this demon and yelled "For Kellen!" and they charged at him. One jabbed his pitchfork at Onikages back, Onikage merrily leans to the left and left him stab a swordmans who was charging Onikage from the front. While the man stood there in disbleif that he had killed his friend. Onikage nailed him with a back Superkick to the mans jaw that sent him to the ground and out cold. While Onikage was dodging or blocking attacks with his barehands and feet, a archer snook up onto the town wall and aimed at Onikage and let out a shot. Onikage caght the arrow with his right hand and spun around counterclockwise, and slashed one man in the throat and another in the wrist in the process. When he came around again he left the arrow go and with it's velocity gained from the spin it hit the archer in the heart. He grasped the wound in shock and looked back at Onikage, who just delievered a Roundhouse kick to another townsman, in disblief before he fell off the wall, dead. Onikage countined to dodge or block the inexperianced townsfolk. The leader managed to get a good swip in on Onikage from behind with a dagger. |

Instead of going all Kung Fu, Zorgn pulled out his shortsword and began hacking at everyone in front of him. Those that were nearest to him fell in the first stroke, revealing more people that need to die. Zorgn began casting spells to raise those that he had killed to help in the fight. As the maimed, smoking remains rose up, Zorgn yelled, "Attack, die the second death for your master! Let niether arrows nor swords stop you untill you have victory!" |

Onikage was bleeding quiet a bit from his wound, but he fought like there was no tomarrow. Another swordsman came behind him and swung but Onikage yet again, moved to the side. He grabbed the mans sword by the handle, kneed him in the gut, blocked a attack from another swordsman with the mans sword and then drove the sword into it's own handlers gut. He grasped the wound in pain and disblief. "Who are you?" Was all the man could mutter before he slumped to the ground dead. "Your worst nightmare that has become reality." Was the last words the man heard before he died. As Onikage countined to feud off the townsfolk another archer popped up on another side of the wall and let off a arrow at Onikage. Onikage quickly seized a man and pulled him in front of him. The arrow nailed the man and Onikage quickly took his sword and hurled it at the archer before he went back to fueding with the rest of them. The sword found it's mark in the center of the archers head and he fell backwards off the wall. Onikage quickly roundhouse kicked a sword out of the leaders hands and it struck another townsman. The leader quickly went to his comrades aid while Onikage caught one swordsmans hands and punched him in the nose, breaking it. He then shoved his plam up and drove the mans broken nose up into his brain, killing him. He looked at the two men remaining. Onikages blood dripped down of his left hand where his left shoulder had been cut by the leader. A townsman glared at him, then charged at full speed toward Onikage, his pitchfolk extended. He quickly kicked teh sword to the right of him and grabbed the mans head from behind, and loud snap was heard as the man slowly fell to the ground. He glared at the leader. The leader backed up and began crawling on his back towards the town exit. "Don't you have a weakness? A love? Somthing to stop you?!" He asked hoping to find somthing to convince the demon to spare his life. "I have no love for weakness, only power." The leader just stared in horror as Onikage stepped above him, but instead of shoving his foot down on him he spoke. "I will see you in hell." Onikage then shoved his foot down of the mans throat and crushed his lynx. He watched him strangle to death. Once the man had deceased, he turned and looks back at the two, who now had apparently gained some allies and were managing to hold their own. "Thats what happens when you come unprepared for the worst". He looked at his wound and scoffed. He walked into the forest and away from the battle that had now engulfed Kellen. More farmers had rushed to Kellens aid, remebering what happened last time. Onikage just smiled as he countined on. |

Wondering where all the people had come from, Zorgn continued felling the townsfolk, while his undead minions tried to do the same. Unfortunantly the zombies could only take down someone by swarming them, the problem was that the zombies were falling too fast to swarm. Dodging arrows was becoming hard work and using the crowd as cover was not working, the archers were more than ready to lose a few farmers to kill Zorgn. As Zorgn stabbed another farmer, an arrow lodged itself in Zorgn's left sholder. Sheathing his sword, Zorgn shot a deadly bolt of dark power at the archer who had wounded him. Unable to use his left arm, Zorgn battled on, casting with his right arm. |

Adsero was getting very tired dodging arrows and more and more of them were hitting their mark. "That's it!" Adsero shot fireballs at every archer she saw, instructing the fire to follow their targets till they died. "I hate arrows!" With the archers gone she returned her focus to the crowed. She sensed with her mind and tried to find the wolf anf Phoenix. They were close by. She instructed them to help attack the villagers and soon luck was favoring her and Zorgn once more. She wished they had remembered to kill all of them the last time. They would do this right this time. Not one would be left alive. |

Zorgn was nearly unable to cast. Enervation was a draining spell. Seeing that the villagers didn't need a powerful spell cast on them, Zorgn prepared for his final spell. Summoning his reserves of magic, he cast a cloud of poison over the farmers. As they started to fall, one by one, Zorgn pulled out his sword and looked around for the archers and villagers that hadn't been caught in the poison cloud. "See anyone Adsero? There's no one over here near me." |

"The bastards near me have been killed by my fireballs. I'd say they're all dead." She looked around her. "I wonder where that demon went. He must have fled into the woods or something." She went about the task of searching the bodies for gold and other things she could steal. "Should we hunt down their children? So this doesn't happen again?" |

Zorgn sheathed his sword and said, "Killing the kids is a bit unnessesary. I don't think they'll survive for long in the woods. I'm gone, see ya." Walking away from the town, Zorgn soon dissapeared into the darkness. (I thought it was, "Burning Down The Town". Lol, good job with the rules adsero.) |

(accually, i think your right. it was vampire in kellen and burning down the town. someone pmed me and asked me to make a post where I destroy keelen I was bored so I went ahead and did it. this is the full list: Ye Olde Taverne 1."So you're all in a bar..." 2.Nobody ever uses the door. Ever. 3.If they use the door, it usually involves ripping it off the hinges, bashing into it, or some other process that takes at least nine steps and seems unnecessarily complicated. 4.Every tavern, no matter HOW crowded, will always have one empty table apart from everybody else in a dark, secluded corner. 5.All newcomers are magnetically attracted to this table. 6.Once the newcomer sits at that table, a new empty table appears, in a new dark, secluded corner, to which the next newcomer will be instantly attracted. 7.No matter what you order, the bartender will always have two bottles left of it. 8.Your character can always pick up a date quicker than you can, in any bar. 9.There is only one bar, the Unibar. All other bars are merely projections of the essential barness of the Unibar. The unibar provides endless quantities of alcohol for each of its shadow-bars, as well as generating the dark corners and uninhabited tables for each. 10.Bar tables are made by enslaved kobolds in a factory near the Unibar, therefore, it does not matter how many are destroyed in bar fights. 11.Every tavern, inn, bar, and other assorted gathering is in the shape of an n-gon, where n is greater than the total number of evil characters in the dark corners. There must always be room for one more, after all. 12.Tenders are an endangered species. 13.Rarely will anyone notice anything happening in an inn besides their own conversation. Violent deaths are especially unlikely to draw anyone's attention. 14.When a character leaves a tavern, they must hover around the entrance for five minutes to see who they've lured into joining them. 15.No matter how small the room is, half the people will be in the rafters. 16.Any player if they wish can, simply with a look of nonchalance, walk through a crowded nightclub/bar/sports arena/airport without touching shoulders or bumping a single person. 17.Don't worry, the rafters are completely safe from your pissed off girlfriend. 18.Until your best friend inevitably pushes you down. 19.The tavern/inn/bar will never run out of money or drinks. No matter how many people keep consuming and forgetting to pay, or how many people the tender feels sorry for. 20.Despite the fact that there are n amount of dark corners in any given bar, there will still be enough open space left for newbies to start a brawl in. It has yet to be satisfactorily explained how this all can fit in the small, unassuming, dilapidated buildings that the vast majority of taverns are described as. 21.No matter how big, strong, fast, agile, quick, accurate, or tough your character is... The bartender can ALWAYS kick your ass. 22.A Tavern/Inn/Bar can be destroyed, but it will always be rebuilt five minutes later. 23.If a table has more than one person, expect them to leave either to "do it," or to plot the world's destruction. 24.In Inns or Taverns, the people ALWAYS pay. If not with gold, then with some other priceless one-of-a-kind item. 25.If somebody can't pay, there's always a wandering traveler who is more than happy to pay for them. Always. 26.Someone tripping over a table in a tavern will always draw more of a crowd than a violent death. 27.If a Tavern/Bar is destroyed and DOESN'T rebuild itself five minutes later, the town you are in will always have an infinate number of new Tavern/Bars for you to choose from. 28.If it isn't a flash of light that blinds the room, its a puff of white smoke. 29.No, it is not physically possible to fit a dragon sized in-door pool on the first floor of a tavern. 30.NEVER GET THE GUTROT. 31.Somehow There will always be a man in the Tavern/Inn with a monkey on his shoulders trying to hit on all your female characters. 32.No matter what you do someone will always come in with a menagerie of 12 or more pets which proceed to explore the tavern. I got it off of Mutedfaith.com. the link wouldn't work. sorry the post ended up being so long.) |
