| Welcome to Imythess, the border between dreams and reality. We hope you enjoy your visit. Imythess is a creative writing board where you narrate the story of a character in the medieval land of Imythess, on the planet Chaon. Each topic is an opportunity for your character to interact with the world and its peoples by cooperatively writing pieces of a story with other members, one post at a time. We call this role-playing, because you assume the identity of your character as if it were your own. In order to play, you must register an account for each character you would like to write about, and begin their tale by filling out their basic profile information: Race (human, elf, demon, etc.), class (warrior, mage, etc.), physical appearance, and any other personal details you would like to describe. You are also encouraged to come up with some background history information for what your character's life has been like up to the point at which their story in Imythess begins. There is no approval process or application required to join, so long as you follow the rules then you are free to write whatever character details you choose. 'I'm not drunk,' Renate said, standing in the doorpost. Kari stared at her and Renate fell over. Her pirate lover caught her. 'Let's go, love. Off to bed,' he said and nodded at Kari to let her know he'd take care of her friend. |

Kari gave Jessoko desperate looks. She didn't like this. She had a strange feeling about this. Renate shouldn't be so... open to that unknown man. Perhaps Jessoko and she had to stop her, before she would get into trouble. |

Jessoko had seen this situation before, at many of the parties she had sung at. She touched Kari's hand gently, with a warm smile to let her know that everything would be ok. She leant foward, and whispered in Kari's ear. "I know how you feel But don't worry." Her eyes gleamed michiviously. "I will take care of this. Just take care of Renate, ok? I do hope she wont be cross with me..." Jessoko took a few steps foward, and embraced Renate. "It's so good to see you, Renate." She smiled. "Kari and I were just speaking about you-- Oh my!" She acted as if she just noticed the pirate man. She made herself flush, and batted her eyes shyly. "How handsome! Tell me, Renate, is he a friend of yours?" Before Renate could answer, Jessoko continued. "Tell me, sir, do you enjoy music?" She stepped closer to him, switching places with Renate, pushing her softly towards Kari. "I have a wonderful selection of songs I would adore to sing for you... Songs of adventure, bravery, love, and--" She giggled. "--lust! Would you care to hear some?" The pirate looked at Renate, then back at Jessoko. Jess smiled. "You can continue your talk with Renate later, I promise. She isn't in much condition to be speaking now anyway." The pirate moved to push past Jessoko, and retreave Renate. Jessoko grabbed his shirt, and pulled him close to her; very close. "I'd be more then happy to give you a--how shall I say it?--private performance..." He was a pirate, and pirates will be pirates, after all. He grinned. "I s'pose I c'n 'old off our chat for a bit o' music." Jessoko laughed shyly. "Lovely! Go on upstairs, I'll be up in a moment. I need to get my... instrument, of course." The pirate laughed and headed on upstairs. Jessoko turned to Kari. "You take care of Renate. I'm going to go get our little pirate friend so drnk he passes out before he can try anything. I'll sing him the sweetest lullaby I know, too." She smiled softly. "Don't worry my friend." With that, she turned on her heals, her silk dress billowing with her movment, and headed upstairs. |

Renate stared at Jessoko and the pirate. 'She's stealing my pirate!' she screamed, upset. 'I don't like that,' she remarked. But when she tried to go upstairs, she fell over. She was too drunk to walk. |

Kari quickly pulled Renate backwards and smiled when Jessoko led the pirate away. Well, done, my friend! Now let's take care of Renate now. Kari pushed Renate away from the stairs, into the inn and to her room, where Renate fell onto the bed, completely knocked out. Kari grinned and took a deep breath. She wondered how Jessoko was doing. She was surely a smart and brave young woman. Kari wouldn't have known what to do if she hadn't been here. She actually wanted to stay awake to wait for Jessoko to return, but she was so tired that she fell asleep on her chair before she could do anything... |

Renate woke up. She was in a room. Where was her lover? She looked around and saw Kari. She got up and tried to wake her up. 'Kari, Kari, wake up! What happened? I don't remember. Where is the pirate?' she shouted. |

Kari's eyes shot open and she blinked a few times before she realised what was going on. 'Renate, keep your hair on. The pirate's gone.' She didn't want Renate to be angry with Jessoko, so she decided to keep that a secret. 'He left.' |

'He left?' Renate said, disappointed. 'I thought we'd have some fun,' she remarked, annoyed. 'Better luck next time,' Kari said. 'Yes, I guess so. So, what will we do now? We're not staying here, right? I need something to get rid of this headache,' Renate said and suddenly left for the bathroom in a hurry. Kari heard puking sounds in the background. 'Charming. A pirate with a hangover,' Kari said to herself. |

Jessoko stumbled into Kari's room, yawning widely. She stretched, walked over to the bed, and layed down. "What a night." She said, her voice quiet. "I don't think I've ever sung that much at once in a looooong time..." She rubbed her eyes. "And pirates sure can hold their liquor." |

Renate looked at Kari. She was very curious. What was it she wanted to show them? She wasn't a very patient person. Renate waited till Jessoko was ready to leave. They had breakfast first. |

Jessoko yawned. "Ok, I'm about ready to go." She rubbed her eyes again, and threw her pack over her shoulders. She was still wearing her beautiful silk dress, but that didn't quite matter to her. She looked like soething out of a fearie tale. "Now, what is it you'd like to show us?" |
