Welcome to Imythess, the border between dreams and reality. We hope you enjoy your visit.

Imythess is a creative writing board where you narrate the story of a character in the medieval land of Imythess, on the planet Chaon. Each topic is an opportunity for your character to interact with the world and its peoples by cooperatively writing pieces of a story with other members, one post at a time. We call this role-playing, because you assume the identity of your character as if it were your own.

In order to play, you must register an account for each character you would like to write about, and begin their tale by filling out their basic profile information: Race (human, elf, demon, etc.), class (warrior, mage, etc.), physical appearance, and any other personal details you would like to describe. You are also encouraged to come up with some background history information for what your character's life has been like up to the point at which their story in Imythess begins.

There is no approval process or application required to join, so long as you follow the rules then you are free to write whatever character details you choose. Registration is simple, fast, and completely free.

While he'd been coming back from the drow city after rescuing Jhael, he came across one of the shadow drakes, one which he'd injured but not killed. Feeling sorry for it, he'd come back the next day to heal it, after which it became his faithful companion. "Basically I found it in the Underdark after a mission there...it's kind of a long story. But if you would at least try to trust me, that would be appreciated...personally, I'm tired of people not trusting me, like I said...I may be a demon, but I'm not a bad person, really," he said, looking down to the ground, not caring to think about all of the instances where people's mistrust of him had led to fights.

Unregistered	"I will try to trust you, but you will have to give me some time before i can fully trust you." she said almost happy to actually meet someone she kind of trusted. "as for the Demon part, it does not matter what race you are as long as you are nice and considerate." she said, for she did not care about peoples race. "so, he found you in the Underdark," she said wanting to hear more.

And kind and considerate he indeed was...he made it a point to be. "Well...long story short, as I believe you people like to say, I went into the underdark with some others to rescue a friend of a friend...our first obstacle was a bunch of shadow drakes. This one I happened to simply knock out and injure slightly, so once I was finished, I came back the next day with my healing spells restored to heal him, and he's been with me ever since."

Unregistered	She smiled. "Most Dragons are like that, you do something for them and they stay with you till they feel they want to go off on there own or something." she said and she then thought she heard something just a few yards away from where they were sitting but then it was silent again. "did you hear anything?" she asked him but doubted he did because her ears were really sensative, and humans couldn't hear half the things Elves could.

"Sounds like some normal resident of the area...probably nothing to worry about. And if it is, we have Shadowfire here to protect us."

"Don't worry about it, it's perfectly understandable...took me a while to learn the common tongue myself, from my native demon tongue."

Unregistered	"I don't think i've ever met a demon before so i never heard it. the only languages i know are Quenya, Sidarin and Common tongue, i never really wanted to learn Dwarvish not that i have anything against them or certainly not Orcish, so i stuck to the basics." she said. But still, he figured he could at least speak part of it. "Sendria lokemos," (yes, I'm making that up ) he said, in an extremely dark voice that would send chills through most. "Like that, essentially...it's meant more to cause fear in opponents than to communicate, though. The main form of communication in the underworld is battle."

Were it not for the noise, she would have probably drifted off completely. She blinked several times and sat upright, for she had been on the fround leaning against the wall. "Interesting language. "I'm sure...few who've heard it have lived, and those fewer that have lived are too mentally and physically damaged to recount their tales. I'd know...I was one of the killers myself, once...nobody escaped my blade alive..." he said, looking back to the ground somewhat sadly, recounting all those he'd slain in his mind's eye. He was perhaps the most merciless and dangerous demon around before he changed...it was hard to think about his past.

What has happened has happened and no amount of feeling sorry for yourself will change that so get over it." Adsero didn't mind if her words were harsh. Even if he got angry it would be better then having him sit there like a sad child who's lost his favorite play thing. "Many thing will happen in life and if we spend all our time looking back and wishing things had been different the the present will pass us by as well." A fire ball similar to a dog was curled beside Adsero, watching the others cautiously.

Sounded a lot like something he would say to anyone else if they were feeling sad or depressed around him...but he had to live with more pain and darkness than anyone else he knew, so it was often hard to hold it all in. "Suppose you're right...just been through a lot in my life, and it's not exactly easy to forget."

The firedog nudged her and she shook her head and her eyes focused. "So, what brings a dragon, a demon, and an elf into the company of a pyro theif like me?"
