| Welcome to Imythess, the border between dreams and reality. We hope you enjoy your visit. Imythess is a creative writing board where you narrate the story of a character in the medieval land of Imythess, on the planet Chaon. Each topic is an opportunity for your character to interact with the world and its peoples by cooperatively writing pieces of a story with other members, one post at a time. We call this role-playing, because you assume the identity of your character as if it were your own. In order to play, you must register an account for each character you would like to write about, and begin their tale by filling out their basic profile information: Race (human, elf, demon, etc.), class (warrior, mage, etc.), physical appearance, and any other personal details you would like to describe. You are also encouraged to come up with some background history information for what your character's life has been like up to the point at which their story in Imythess begins. There is no approval process or application required to join, so long as you follow the rules then you are free to write whatever character details you choose. Registration is simple, fast, and completely free. Create a character now! If you're already a member, you can log into your account below: |

The wind was blowing and there were a few snow flakes in the air, the sky was cloudy, and midnight had just come and Elrénia couldn't sleep, so she left the Norwood forest and began to walk to the village of Kellen. When she got to Kellen there was no one outside, and she was grateful for that, for she did not feel like talking to anyone because they would ask her tons of questions. She walked a little ways further and then found a nice patch of grass to sit on, so she stopped and sat down. after a few minutes she started to sing a song from Lothlorien: In Dwimordene, in Lorien Seldom have walked the feet of men, Few mortal eyes have seen the light That lies there ever, long and bright. Galadriel! Galadriel! Clear is the water of your well; White is the star in your white hand; In Dwimordene, in Lorien More fair then thoughts of Mortal Men. |

Lance had been resting back against a building in somewhat of an alleyway in the village for a good while now, not really having anything to do but not feeling like walking at the moment. He walked way too much for his own good...it was exhausting, but then, he couldn't really think of anything else to occupy his time. As he leaned there, though, he heard another person enter the village, although he found it odd that someone would come here this late at night. Of course, he was at home in the darkness, so whoever it was would probably find it strange that he was here so late as well. He then heard her begin to...sing, was it called? Something of the like. For now, he figured he'd just listen, and introduce himself if he was found...the problem with that idea, however, was that shadowfire was slowly moving over to where the woman was. 'Great...always just plain curious...' Lance thought somewhat disdainfully at his dragon's actions and its very common curiosity. |

After the song ended she was trying to think of another, but then her sensative ears picked up something coming twords her. she stood up and turned around and saw something big comming right at her. She ran and hid behind a rather large tree and was as silent as possible, she wanted to see what it was but didn't want it to see her. She watched it but it was to dark to make it out, but soon it was walking at her again and before she could move it got right up to her. She was amazed to see the Dragon, for she had no idea they lived around here. "írë, sinomë neldë. mana nar lyë aurë hlar." she said in Quenya with a soft voice. |

Lance sighed in exasperation from his hiding spot as Shadowfire layed down near the girl, clearly not intending to scare her, and he came out of his hiding spot within the alleyway, looking over to the girl. "Sorry if Shadowfire here scared you...he's really a lot like a cat when you get to know him." |

She pet the Dragons scaly neck. "Hello," she said uncertain if she should trust him. "Why are you out in the middle of the night? are you a bandit? i warn you, i do know how to defend myself," she stood ready for an attack, but she had a feeling that one was not coming. "ná sina lya airita? an es car lá orta mari." She said into the Dragons ear smiling. "lya nertë ná Shadowfire? ta ná a mára nertë an elyë." |

Adsero heard the elf talk. She was atop a roof near by. "Elda, uma?" Her elvish was bad and was slightly more Sindarinbut she hoped the elf understood. Someone once told her she needed to get over her issues with the elves so she had tried to make friends with the ones she met. *Elda- elf, Uma- yes I'm not good at speaking quenya. |

"Mae govannen, Revanthas quin goth?" she said to the stranger. "Ent sut an cael llie eller?" [size0]((OOC: this is what i said: 'Hello, Friend or foe? She smiled, she was happy that she had found someone who could speak Elven. but she wondered where she had learned it, she did not look Elven. "manke cael llie istim Elvish?" she asked the stranger. "amin ess naa Elrénia Lómithrathien." she said holding her hand out. [size0]((the question was: 'where did you learn Elvish?' then: 'My name is Elrénia Lómithrathien.)) |

Lance tilted his head to the side in curiosity, not sure what they were saying...the only languages he knew were the common language and the demon language, nothing more. But still, the last thing that the girl said seemed to him to be a name. "Well, anyway, I'm not a bandit...I barely have any need for gold or anything for that matter. Name's Lance, a demon wanderer, at your service," he said, bowing politely...politeness had always been a strong point of his since he rid himself of most of his dark nature. |

She looked back at lance. "i am glad to here that you are not of Bandit kind. i am Elrénia Lómithrathien of Rivendale." she said to him with a small curtsy. she looked up at the sky, there were a whole bunch of stars, it reminded her of home it was bright and beautiful, sometimes like these she wished she hadn't left. a single tear fell down her cheek, but she quickly wiped it off. |

Lance watched her in curiosity, wondering what she seemed obviously sad about, despite her trying to hide it. "Hey, never good to hide one's feelings, I like to say...mind if I ask what's wrong?" he asked, giving what was one of his usual points of advice, and figuring that she might've been homesick...he most certainly wasn't, but then, everyone was different. |

She looked back down at Lance. "its, nothen." she lied, she still wasn't sure if she trusted him. she sat back down on the grass next to the dragon, and started to pet its scaley skin again. then after a few seconds of silence she started to sing: The Road goes ever on and on Down from the door where it began. Now far ahead the Road has gone, And I must follow, if I can, Pursuing it with eager feet, Until it joins some larger way Where many paths and errands meet. And whither then? I cannot say. |

Lance shrugged to himself, not pressing the matter as always, and seeing that she and Shadowfire seemed to be getting along rather well. It was strange, though...to see a shadow dragon so docile. He quickly shrugged off these thoughts, listening to her sing, and wishing he'd brought his flute along from Avalon. "If you say so, I suppose..." he said when she finished singing. "And don't think I can't tell that you don't trust me...truthfully, it somewhat upsets me when there are those around me that don't trust me, likely because of the fact that I'm a demon," he continued, sitting down by the opposite side of his dragon despite shadowfire's obvious efforts to move him closer to her, clearly wanting him to get to know her, which was only natural on his part. Truthfully, though, it severely depressed him when there were those that didn't trust him much, but he never let it show. |

"Well, it has growing acustom for me not to trust people, i have met some people that i thought i could trust and they tried to steal from me." she said still petting Shadowfire. "Where did this Dragon find you?" she asked not knowing many Dragons who hung around with Humans. "Manke oio cael llie utu sina ary gis?" she then said into the Dragons ear again. |
