| Welcome to Imythess, the border between dreams and reality. We hope you enjoy your visit. Imythess is a creative writing board where you narrate the story of a character in the medieval land of Imythess, on the planet Chaon. Each topic is an opportunity for your character to interact with the world and its peoples by cooperatively writing pieces of a story with other members, one post at a time. We call this role-playing, because you assume the identity of your character as if it were your own. In order to play, you must register an account for each character you would like to write about, and begin their tale by filling out their basic profile information: Race (human, elf, demon, etc.), class (warrior, mage, etc.), physical appearance, and any other personal details you would like to describe. You are also encouraged to come up with some background history information for what your character's life has been like up to the point at which their story in Imythess begins. There is no approval process or application required to join, so long as you follow the rules then you are free to write whatever character details you choose. Lance nodded in agreement with both these statements. "Definitely have to agree with you on both of those...I'm just glad at this point that people don't constantly shun me because of the remains of my demon nature. Strange...how people out here can resent someone just because of such a small thing as that, which can't even be changed..." he said thoughtfully. |

Pheonix gave a knowing nod, "Yeah well. People judge ... And there's nothing to be done about it ..." She gave another shrug, "Eh ... I don't know much about demons and such. I've only really met one in my travels. He was a difficult one that he was. But I'm not one to judge a whole race based upon one member of it." Pheonix wasn't much of a serious sort, but when she kept her morals in check. Was also one to state her morals as well as opinions... |

Lance nodded in agreement with her statements about demons...he wasn't at all like the rest of them. Well, he used to be, truthfully...fighting those who stood in his way with powers of darkness, unrelentingly pursuing those that tried to escape...that sort of thing. But as he stayed in the outside world, he slowly began to change thanks to the few friends that had accepted him, into what he was today, one who helped those who needed it. Some of his demon qualities remained, however, such as his dark aura and his resentment at any form of pity or compassion directed toward him. "Absolutely true...but then, I'm not exactly the definition of a normal demon, myself. I've retained some of my old demon qualities, but the worse ones have slowly been removed thanks to what few friends I've made, who've accepted me." |
