| Welcome to Imythess, the border between dreams and reality. We hope you enjoy your visit. Imythess is a creative writing board where you narrate the story of a character in the medieval land of Imythess, on the planet Chaon. Each topic is an opportunity for your character to interact with the world and its peoples by cooperatively writing pieces of a story with other members, one post at a time. We call this role-playing, because you assume the identity of your character as if it were your own. In order to play, you must register an account for each character you would like to write about, and begin their tale by filling out their basic profile information: Race (human, elf, demon, etc.), class (warrior, mage, etc.), physical appearance, and any other personal details you would like to describe. You are also encouraged to come up with some background history information for what your character's life has been like up to the point at which their story in Imythess begins. There is no approval process or application required to join, so long as you follow the rules then you are free to write whatever character details you choose. Registration is simple, fast, and completely free. Create a character now! If you're already a member, you can log into your account below: |

Lance nodded slowly, looking back to the horse. "That's one way of putting it, I suppose..." he said. Know her? More than that...he liked her, one could say, a lot. |

Isithradia grinned, sitting down on a nearby bale of hay. "ooooh! Lance likes Songbird! Lance likes Songbird!" Apparently, Adia had guessed, or assumed rather, that and was trying to see if it was true. |

Lance blushed slightly, still looking to the horse if only to be able to avert his eyes. He figured that what he said gave too much away, and what the girl was saying was indeed the truth...he did like Lyrka. "Well...yeah..." he simply muttered. |

Isithradia nodded, glad Lance hadn't denied it. "Don't be so embrassed about it," she said with a smile, "It isn't that bad to like someone... But if you ever hurt her you will have to answer to me and Normir," she added seriously before the smile returned. "But I doubt you will, you seem nice and she mentioned that she had met a really nice guy awhile back... " Adia nodded, digging through her memory to recall the details. "At the academy for fighting... She said he was really good with a sword, was that you?" |

Lance chuckled softly, and nodded. "Suppose it must've been...after all, that's where I met her. She's certainly a rather quick learner, I can say that much," he replied, thinking back a bit to that day. He'd been considering for a little while going so far as to teach her his own fighting style, of which at this point he was the only one alive who knew...but that was a different subject altogether. |

Isithradia shrugged, hands clasped behind her back as she looked around the barn. She was starting to get bored. "I wouldn't really know if she was a quick learner," Adia admitted with a shrugg. "I only know about her stories and what she tells us." |

Lance nodded in understanding, and figured he'd probably best change the subject. "So...if you don't mind me asking, why don't the other people where you come from believe in demons and the like? Seems somewhat foolish to me..." |

Isithradia looked up at him. "...The people where I came from?" she asked in confusion then shook her head when she understood. "Oh! My people know... knew that demons and things such as that existed." A sad smile stretched across her face but she banished it by popping a piece of candy into her mouth. "It was the other people that always told me that you didn't exist... The normal people, the humans mostly... Momma always told me they were ignorant and that they refused to believe certain things." She shrugged, "And when I told them you all did exist, they would always say I had a large imagination." |

Lance chuckled softly, and nodded in understanding. Only fools would believe that people thought demons and the like existed because of large imaginations...one would just have to look around them, and they'd find some sort of 'imaginative' creature in a relatively short time, from what he could tell. "Sounds like a bunch of rather foolish people to me...but I suppose I'm not really one to talk, considering I'm exactly what they don't believe in." |

"You're right though," Isithradia protested after popping another piece of candy in her mouth. "They all said that your kind didn't exist but you being here proves it... Unless your just an illusion," she added with a faint frown but she brightened up again. "But I know your not because I was always the best at spotting them so you're real." She smiled again. "So that does make them foolish. Really, really foolish since they also said that I have a big imagination because I don't... I know everything from the stories I learned." |

Lance nodded in agreement, only being able to imagine how he would think were he not a demon, but instead a human that had been living here for a while. But then, were that the case, he wouldn't be anywhere near as old as he actually was, which currently was 139 or so, at least he thought. He couldn't entirely be sure at this point, considering the difference in passage of time between here and the underworld. "Yeah, well, I'm willing to guess that there are lots of people like them..." |

"Probably.... How old are you?" She asked suddenly, looking over and up at him curiously. "I'll be seven in autumn and Normir justed turned three a few weeks ago." |

How old...well, that wasn't entirely an easy question to answer, considering the time difference between the underworld and the outer world, as he knew it. It took a moment's thought...but eventually he believed that he came up with it. "Well...I look about 19, I'm sure, but I'm about 140 or so, I believe." |

"Really? You don't look 140," she said, staring up at him curiously. "How long will you live? Or do you live forever?" |
