Welcome to Imythess, the border between dreams and reality. We hope you enjoy your visit.

Imythess is a creative writing board where you narrate the story of a character in the medieval land of Imythess, on the planet Chaon. Each topic is an opportunity for your character to interact with the world and its peoples by cooperatively writing pieces of a story with other members, one post at a time. We call this role-playing, because you assume the identity of your character as if it were your own.

In order to play, you must register an account for each character you would like to write about, and begin their tale by filling out their basic profile information: Race (human, elf, demon, etc.), class (warrior, mage, etc.), physical appearance, and any other personal details you would like to describe. You are also encouraged to come up with some background history information for what your character's life has been like up to the point at which their story in Imythess begins.

There is no approval process or application required to join, so long as you follow the rules then you are free to write whatever character details you choose. Registration is simple, fast, and completely free.

Adsero shook her head and walked up to the drow and the new arrival. "You are a very rude person." She said this to 'Rilrae'. She extended her hand out to the new person. "Lo. I'm Adsero, Thanks for hetting rid of the water. It was starting to worry me." She smiled. The fireball sqouts she had sent out came rolling to her feet.

You are far too trusting. How do you know he wont slice you up with any hidden weapons?

Adsero looked down at the fire. "That's simple. I don't know he wont, I just figure he wouldn't have announced his presence if he wanted to kill us."

"To be honest, I don't really kill people I hardly know without a very good reason, but if I did then Adsero is right, you would both be dead without even knowing what killed you. My name's Tyrion, don't bother telling me yours, I already know."

*He looked at the crumbled debris and waved his hand dismissivly towards the heap of rock and earth with an unreadable expression upon his face.*

"What do you think we should do to get out of this place? I froze the ice but it's only temparory and the water dripping down now will eventually melt the ice. I guess we only have a couple of hours left in here before we either suffocate or the structure collapses on top of us. We should probably try and find another way out.*

Drizza was still weary of this new stranger, she felt as if he had some hidden plans to earn their trust, but only to betray them later. She did not know how the man was doing it but Drizza wanted to leave these tunnels as soon as possible. Rubble blocked the only exit but then man had made a grave mistake when he froze the water. The walls of the tunnels were now frozen solid, making it impossible unless with the use of fire to break them down.

"Alright genius" Drizza said, looking closely at the wall "you froze the wall so the water would stop dripping. How are we going to break free? Thaw all this ice?!"

Adsero looked hard at the rock. "Well, uless fire can melt through rock, I think I'm pretty usless. Wait! Can fire melt rock?" Adsero looked around and felt the wall while she waited for an answer. She stoped feeding power into all but one of the fire scouts. If fire could melt rock, she would need it.

Drizzaa seemed impatient, there was no way the fire could melt through rock. She turned to Adsero and said "Fire cannot melt through rock, you can try but you can't." There was no way fire could melt through rock or the work spent on building the magnificant castles were to waste. Drizza sighed and pace daround impatiently. Drizza thought through various ideas, but the idea she thought would most likely to succeed was to dig out. Though she wasn't going to propose it just yet, Drizza wanted to inspect the rubble. There had to be some sort of void the rubble left, and they could perhaps dig themselves out from that point.

"Well I was only trying to help. Would you rather that the roof collapse on top of us? Or that the tunnels flood because of too much water? I can breathe underwater for as long as my magic can keep the spell going. I don't know if you two can."

"Could we try getting out upwards? Part of the ceiling did collapse and that probably weakened the roof, at least a liitle bit. It would be beter than trying to dig through solid rock."

*He gazed up to the ceiling and noticed that several small holes had formed, probably when the rock and rubble fell down.*

Adsero looked around. "Please don't melt Ice." She looked around but saw no obvious escape. "Who made these tunnels anyway? I'd like to meet them and chop their head off. Who build a tunnel with water in it?" Adsero walked around mor or less rambling to herself.

"Are you normally this insane or is it because you're trapped in a tunnel? And where are you going anyway, you could get lost and we may not be able to find you in this maze."

*He looked at Adsero's form slowly dissappearing into the darkness beyond, slightly wooried yet exasperated at the same time.*

"Where the hell is she going?"

*He glanced at other woman, maybe looking for an answer to his question.*

Forunately Drizza had found a void left from the collaspe, but it seemed to be frozen. Growling Drizza kicked some of the rubble. She did not want to die this way, under some forgotten ruins. In her fury, the drow rammed the hilt of her sword against a rock. No, we're not dying this way she thought angrily we will survive. It was seldom heard that a drow died of a nautral diaster in an underground tunnel and Drizza wasn't going to be the first.

"What are we going to do now? Even if the ice never thaws we will starve to death."

"We could try to break the ice instead? I mean, a couple of crossbow bolts into that could shatter it. At least I think it will..."

*He looked questionably at the ice with a develish smile*

"Or, we could thaw it with fire and see if the whole tunnel collapses?"

"Cos that would be fun"

*Laughs hysterically*

"If we throw fire it would melt!" Adsero slowly began to walk back to the group. Having all this water around her, even in a frozen state, was freaking her out. "Though I can't say I'm not tempted to try to melt the tunnel or collapse a part of it. Still there always the fact that ice melts into water holding me back." She walked around, supressing the urge to go completely into hysterics.

"There is a chance you could cause everything to collaspe if you thaw the ice," Drizza said having to have regained her mind after her short outburst. She wasn't sure what to do, but she was definitely sure that she would not die in these frozen lonely tunnels.

"Fine, I gues we break the ice then. Or try to at least. But it might not work, who knows how thick the ice is? But I'm gona try anyway, I'm not exactly busy at the moment"

*He held his crossbow with one hand while removing a bolt from the quiver slung onto his shoulder and loading it into the crossbow. He aimed directly at the middle of the thinnest-looking of the ice and fired. The bolt shot forwad towards the ice, embedding itself deep into the surface, small cracks appearing from the centre of the impact. A couple of bits of ice fell to the icy floor.*

"It kinda worked, I suppose"

*He loaded another bolt and prepared to fire again, hoping the first one had weakened the ice, at least a little*

Drizza was hesistant in breaking the ice. If he had not froze this place, we wouldn't be doing this in the first place Drizza thought warily as she began to think of a way to make her task more efficient.

"We should all focus all our attacks at one point," Drizza said after several moments of silence. Until she could think of a better tactic, she was going to have to do some tedious work.

"Well that would be the logical thing to do, but we'd better act fast or the ice will start melting again and I don't know if I can do another spell, it's taking a lot of magical energy doing the ice spells."
