| Welcome to Imythess, the border between dreams and reality. We hope you enjoy your visit. Imythess is a creative writing board where you narrate the story of a character in the medieval land of Imythess, on the planet Chaon. Each topic is an opportunity for your character to interact with the world and its peoples by cooperatively writing pieces of a story with other members, one post at a time. We call this role-playing, because you assume the identity of your character as if it were your own. In order to play, you must register an account for each character you would like to write about, and begin their tale by filling out their basic profile information: Race (human, elf, demon, etc.), class (warrior, mage, etc.), physical appearance, and any other personal details you would like to describe. You are also encouraged to come up with some background history information for what your character's life has been like up to the point at which their story in Imythess begins. There is no approval process or application required to join, so long as you follow the rules then you are free to write whatever character details you choose. Registration is simple, fast, and completely free. Create a character now! If you're already a member, you can log into your account below: |

OOC:: I Still dont Think Its Long Enough... <_< +It was early dusk, the sky pink with shots of gold. The moon was high and getting brighter by the moment, boring its light apon the ruins. The ruins were rather silent this coming eve, and but one being sat silent; Unaware of anything around him. Optics were closed off to the incoming night, while cape was cast off to one side—This man was unarmed, although none the less alert to his surroundings. But still, no movement came from the man; Even when a chilled breeze swept through silently, no shudder came from the young man. Silence was drawn out for what seemed an hour, for the moon was now high and throwing shadows against the ruins and the being which seemed to be meditating within its depths. But soon, the golden orbs slowly opened, glancing about with silent revolation, “Such an aura this place has…” His voice was hushed and a hint of sadness crept through it with a chill to make most tremble. His lips closed to but the smallest hint, only open enough to edmit the small sigh he muttered escape past them+ +“This land is but beautiful… And I cannot call it naught… But war and hate still happens here… But still…” It may have seemed odd to most that this young man spoke openly, though hushed, to himself—But he deemed it normal. Finding that he received no critisisum to his own words if he naught speak it to others but himself. Mouth parted once more to edmit another sigh, as he stood up. Turning to pick up his cape and brush it off silently, something was bothering him, as it had bothered him for the past two winters; He had not found yet one place that he was not feared for his theories and magic. And this place may have been the same, even though he felt the strong presence of magic in this land; But the beings may still merely reject him out of pure malice toward new comers. A smirk curled around his lips and he advanced toward the entrance of the ruins, optics set forward, while his mind still remained deep in the ruins. He stopped and cursed lowley, turning on his heels and stepping lightly, he set deeper into the ruins… Why? He even knew naught…+ +But a smirk past against his lips again, the Wizard’s curse. He shook his head, most Wizard’s were drawn into their curiousity; And this was the most often way a Wizard would parish. Not by sword or magic, but by curiousity. The young man shrugged lightly to himself and continued deeper, these ruins held ancient magics and memory—And he would find it. His footsteps were now audible, having found himself in a rather dark and dank hall—His magic having been parchilly drained on his coming of this land, he could not summon light. So he continued through the darkness, hands pressed against the wall for guidance and support; No sounds but his footsteps were audible, but the young wizard still stayed very alert; Free hand stretch out ahead in case of an attacker to appear from the dark in thought that he was an easy target+ |

Solaris crept through the ruins, furred feet making not a sound to announce her presence to the other she was trailing. The werefox's breathing was soft, almost inaudible but still there. When they came upon a hole in the roof, she did her best to avoid direct moonlight but it glinted of her dark red flecked golden eyes and rusty red gray fur nonetheless. Her fur, a faded rusty red mixed with gray, was slowly starting to regain its luster and color for the coming of spring and summer. The clothes she wore over her fur were dark browns and black, good for hiding, as she had been out hunting previously. |

+Optics remained forward, as he stepped into the moonlight and then out. Stopping swiftly for a breath he looked about, eyes catching only a glimps of the werefox's fur. He blinked back the glint and then squinted lightly, cursing his own apparent weakness of sight and light-- Although he was nothing close to defensless. He stepped back and turned to continue down the hallway, trying to tell himself it was nothing he saw only the moonlight play tricks apon his own eyes. "Mother moon..." He mumbled with a chuckle as he ranhis hand along the wall, keeping his path... Still semi unaware of the were, "You are content playing fabled games with me are you not good mother..." He chuckled once more before falling silent-- Trying to pick out any noises... Of anyone or anything+ |

One foot slid as it hit a few small pebbles, the claws on it dragging against the stone floor. The sound echoed off the walls, ceiling, and floor, easily carried to Darius and passed him. She silently cursed herself seven different types of a fool, shifting into the deeper shadows and away from where she had been. She would have to be more careful if she were to find out where this interesting human was off too. Not many ventured this far into the ruins and this perticular one had a different scent, both reasons feeding her curiosity which eurged her on after him. |

+The sound radiated to him and he frowned, something was in here. A low sigh of hidden panic escaped past his lips as he turned; He saw nothing, the were hidden in the shadows. He squinted slightly, the were's aura was plain-- But he could not pick her out of the shadows. And in a low tone he hissed his warning, "...Being... I warn you... I may be stepping deeper and deeper into these mere ruins to you... But I may just be stepping deeper and deeper into danger..." He growled lowley and continued, "...Be you friend or foe... I cannot wish for your harm..." With his part said he turned his back and was stock still and silent, seeing if the being wished to reply+ |

Her slender muzzel parted enough for a soft sigh to escape before Solaris moved out of the darker shadows, making no attempt for silence. Actually, she was trying to make her steps loud enough for him to hear easily. It took but a moment for her to come closer to him, just out of arms reach to his left. "I give you my apologizes for not announcing my presence sooner but it is not my way... And if you were to fall into danger, I would rather be there to help for you seem kind and you look weaponless." Her voice was held soft, soft enough so that only someone by the human or closer could hear. |

+A soft smile appeared on his face, but he did not turn. "I forgive you good being... For I am not one to hold grudges..." He muttered lightly, orbs of pale gold closed as he concentrated; He nodded lightly, "I thank you for your words of help and concern... I am truthfully weaponless..." But not defenceless, he knew some martial arts-- But he did not say this aloud. He turned his head and took her shadowed features in, "A were...?" He mumbled lightly and then smiled, "I am sorry for my rude behavior... I am called Darius... And may I ask your dubbing..?" He gave a warm smile+ |

Both ears turned forward, catching his mumbled words though she dismissed it as not important. Many were surprised at the sight of a were, and she figured he was one. "A pleasure to meet you Darius, you may call me Solaris... No, you have not been rude," she added, easily waving away his apology as she normal had a habit of doing. Her head tilted to one side, her curiosity really was getting the better of her today. "If you do not mind my asking for it might seem rude, what are you doing in the ruins?" |

+"I find it not rude... For if I were thee I would be much more then curious..." He smiled, "And I find curiousity a liable allie somtimes..." He turned his head and closed his eyes but a moment and then looked into the darkness ahead of him. "Have you ever heard the tale of a Wizard's curiousity?" He smirked back at her, "Well it may seem like a bit of lore to most... But it is awfully true..." He looked back into the darkness again and frowned. "...Something grips our minds and urges us to continue... More then often, straight into the worst of enemies or danger..." He mumbled lightly, making sure his voice did not echo, "I have been lucky never to run into such pairell... But it is only to come on its own time..." He ran a hand through his roan colored hair+ |

She chuckled softly, though she doubted anyone else was nearby. "Curiosity can be a go thing at time...A wizard's curiosity?" She shook her head in a 'no', listening to what he said. "That would make you a wizard then, correct?" The pieces would fit then, would explain why his scent was so different from other humans. "I think the curiosity might be part of need for knowledge, to improve one's self." |

Adsero sat listening to their conversation. Having seen the man walk down here from her lofty spot atop a ruined wall, she decided to see what he planed to do in these ruins she had claimed as her home. Finally she gave up the secrecy of a theif and tossed Cremo over at them, instructing the fireball to roll/float around them and tell her all it could. Soon after, it rolled back to her. Looks to be a wizard and a werefox. But thats only from what I could tell. A wizard and a werefox... strange pair to be appearing in the ruins. She stared at where the fire had rolled. "Be ye friend or foe?" She leaned against the walls in the shadows where she sat and awaited a reply. |

*Tyrion stayed crouching in the shadows behind a fallen pillar, observing the conversation betwen man and werefox, a smile upon his face.* This was too easy following them here. I wonder what he's here for? *Suddenly a fireball flew from above and circled the pair without them noticing before flying back to whence it came. He quickly glanced upwards and saw a mysterious woman perched above them on the roof, hidden as he was, in darkness.* *He emerged from the darkness, katana in hand and moved silently across to the pair, keeping a careful eye on the person on the roof while picking his way carefully across the pebbles and rock that littered the ruins.* |

Despite what the two others might think, Solaris did know that both were there, their thoughts circling in her mind before she finally got fed up and put up a mental shield. Being able to read other's thoughts wasn't always dandy. "Neither," she finally replied to Adsero's question. "I'm a fox... And as for you swordsman, you need not walk so quietly.. You have a scent just like the rest of us." |

Adsero looked to Cremo but he didn't say anything. "I'd jump down but I rather like being tall. Nice to meet you." Adsero threw the fireball down so she could better see. She ajusted her vision and looked through the fire ball long enough to see the other person and then went back to her own vision. She listened but spoke no more. |

"So, we all know we're here. Does that help any of us in anyway? You maybe be able to read our thoughts but I have magic as well, and no doubt this young woman has as well. If you're gonna attack us then you'd better be on guard or you be dead before you even have time to read my thoughts, empath." *He walked closer to the group, but stopped a couple of feet away, close enough to strike yet not so close as to be an easy target. He causally sheathed his blade into the black scabbard strapped to his back and gazed around quickly before turning back to them.* "So, shall we continue?" |
