| Welcome to Imythess, the border between dreams and reality. We hope you enjoy your visit. Imythess is a creative writing board where you narrate the story of a character in the medieval land of Imythess, on the planet Chaon. Each topic is an opportunity for your character to interact with the world and its peoples by cooperatively writing pieces of a story with other members, one post at a time. We call this role-playing, because you assume the identity of your character as if it were your own. In order to play, you must register an account for each character you would like to write about, and begin their tale by filling out their basic profile information: Race (human, elf, demon, etc.), class (warrior, mage, etc.), physical appearance, and any other personal details you would like to describe. You are also encouraged to come up with some background history information for what your character's life has been like up to the point at which their story in Imythess begins. There is no approval process or application required to join, so long as you follow the rules then you are free to write whatever character details you choose. Solaris slowed to a halt when her feet touched the sand, a large grin stretching across her face. She looked up and down the coast before moving closer to the waters. "It's amazing!" She finally announced, watching the waves lap against the shore. |

Solaris stretched her arms out as far as they would go to either side as a sea breeze touched them, pushing back her hair. A faint sigh came from her, a happy one. She loved the sea despite having only been there for a few minutes. “I can see why,” she commented aloud, her arms lowering to her sides. She looked up the beach then down it, her head tilting to one side. She wondered what swimming in the salt water would be like but then thought better of it, foxes only swam when necessary. “How about we go on a walk?” She asked finally, turning back to Lance. She watched him curiously, wondering what he would want to do. Maybe he would rather go swimming, she though. Well, if he does then she would agree but if he doesn’t mention it then neither would she. |

Lance shrugged slightly, not really much caring what they did, really, whether it was going for a walk or swimming. There wasn't really all that much he did care about, for that matter, apart from his friends of course. He then nodded, smiling slightly at her. "Sounds fine to me, lead the way if you'd like." |
