| Welcome to Imythess, the border between dreams and reality. We hope you enjoy your visit. Imythess is a creative writing board where you narrate the story of a character in the medieval land of Imythess, on the planet Chaon. Each topic is an opportunity for your character to interact with the world and its peoples by cooperatively writing pieces of a story with other members, one post at a time. We call this role-playing, because you assume the identity of your character as if it were your own. In order to play, you must register an account for each character you would like to write about, and begin their tale by filling out their basic profile information: Race (human, elf, demon, etc.), class (warrior, mage, etc.), physical appearance, and any other personal details you would like to describe. You are also encouraged to come up with some background history information for what your character's life has been like up to the point at which their story in Imythess begins. There is no approval process or application required to join, so long as you follow the rules then you are free to write whatever character details you choose. Registration is simple, fast, and completely free. Create a character now! If you're already a member, you can log into your account below: |

Lyrka laughed, setting her harp aside in a safe place then shaking her head. "I would not deem it rude, but maybe it should be saved for another time." She smiled then let her gaze turn to the brillantly painted sky, a soft sigh coming from her. "No matter how many times I see it, I am always surprised by it's beauty..." |

He glances sideways at her, and grins. "It is an amazing thing to witness, and no matter how many times we think we have seen it at its best, there is always one better than that. I will never tire of watching the sun set. It's always nice to watch it with someenoe though." |

"See, watching the sunset can be a small reason to ejnoy life." Lyrka chuckled, nodding. "And watching it with another is much better than watching it alone." |

The sun falls, sinking slowly into the ground. The moon's bright glow appears overhead, the shadows creeping up behind it. The world was starting to begin to fade in the darkness. "It's amazing how something so beautiful can be covered by something so dark and foreboding. And yet, I still find the darkness beautiful too. I find the darkness peaceful and comforting. It may sound odd to you, but that is how I feel sometimes. Dark and angry." |

Lyrka nodded in understanding, "And it is perfectly alright to feel that way... And the darkness is just as beautiful as the light, despite what others may think." She shrugged. |

There was then a loud 'crack' of a stick being broken in peices. for Ara has been watching them ever since they started talking but as she tryed to get a little closer to hear better she stepped on a twig. she then stood still as a statue, hoping that the two did not hear the snap of the stick. after a few seconds past she tryed to make her way back to where she was standing before, but ended up making even more noise, so she decided to hide behind a large tree. |

Snapped out of his thoughts by the sudden crack, Rhys glances around quickly. He sees nothing but shadows. Turning his full body to where the crack had sounded from, he called softly into the night. "Who goes there? A friend or foe? You have given up your element of surprise, just to point out." He curses himself again for not finding a weapon sooner. It would be pointless to try and find one now, for he could not see anything but shadows. |

Lyrka got to her feet, the harp placed upon the boulder before she drew one of her fighting knives. She held out her other hand, palm up, and a globe of light appeared to cut through the darkness though not as far as where Ara hid. "You can come out," she called, "I will not hurt you unless you attack first." |

He glances to his side as Lyrka rises. He frowns as she lays her harp down and draws her dagger. He grins after a moment though. He leans over and whispers softly to Lyrka; "You are more fierce looking, at the moment, than I am ever! And also more prepared, too. Hopefully this person does not attack us, because I am weaponless, and for some reason, I find that fact funny..." The light from Lyrka's hand gives him a view of his surroundings again, and he takes this opportunity to look for a weapon of some sort. His eye's lock on a large, blunt stick. He whispers to Lyrka again; "There is a large stick leaning on the side of that crumbling building. I'll go retrieve it, if necessary." |

Lyrka surpressed a smile as she glanced over at him. "I will take that as a compliment I suppose, so thank you..." She gaze followed his to the stick which she studied for a moment before shrugging. "I would hope it is not necessary but if the other does attack, I have boths spells and a shield that we can use." |
