| Welcome to Imythess, the border between dreams and reality. We hope you enjoy your visit. Imythess is a creative writing board where you narrate the story of a character in the medieval land of Imythess, on the planet Chaon. Each topic is an opportunity for your character to interact with the world and its peoples by cooperatively writing pieces of a story with other members, one post at a time. We call this role-playing, because you assume the identity of your character as if it were your own. In order to play, you must register an account for each character you would like to write about, and begin their tale by filling out their basic profile information: Race (human, elf, demon, etc.), class (warrior, mage, etc.), physical appearance, and any other personal details you would like to describe. You are also encouraged to come up with some background history information for what your character's life has been like up to the point at which their story in Imythess begins. There is no approval process or application required to join, so long as you follow the rules then you are free to write whatever character details you choose. Registration is simple, fast, and completely free. Create a character now! If you're already a member, you can log into your account below: |

It was quiet here. The hunting was spectacular. There were these spotted umbras that were very tasty. They were hard to catch though. Agile and quick. They were beautiful creatures. The could communicate their feelings and thoughts. Sometimes she'd catch them just for sport, to show that she could, then talk to them a little and let them go. But they weren't always pleasant. Sometimes they were just as evil as some of the meanest people she knew. Those, she killed and drank. She was wiping the blood from her lips after a particularly good Umbra. She hefted the body and tossed it into the woods to cover her tracks. It was the quickest, but not the best. It didn't really do much to erase her prints. Someone could easily follow them to find her. But she wasn't worried about it in the least. No one could sneak up on her unless they were very fast. She was a vampire after all. |

i had been walking though the woods for many days. a dark place of shadows that man was not suppose to know of. It was night how I knew this was still strange to me it was dark in the woods no matter the time. with strange creatures some that I couldn’t talk to. I take a seat to take a rest setting my staff to my side lessening while I eat. A sound like a rustle of fur the breaking of branches I was being stalked by something large. and not just one I stand up closing my eyes trying to pinpoint the sounds that were coming for him. I turn and jab behind me with the staff hitting one of the local creatures pinning it to the trees. “ what are you foul beast .” I yell at it nothing was said only a strange pain in my back. I was hit by something and role stopping and hitting the staff on the ground saying a few words it lights up at the tip .a blinding light show what they were and making it so they couldn’t see. To many for me to fight what to do now other than go down in the fight I start beating them with eh staff hitting one and switching to another getting scratches bleeding pretty well but not going down without a fight . |

Jezabel was startled out of her nap by the sounds of fighting. It was irritating and she was not in the mood to see what was going on. But she also did not want anyone to hunt her down so she needed to see what was happening before she was in the middle of it. It was then she smelled the sweet scent of human blood. Mmm, she thought. Grinning, she ran fast towards the sounds. She watched a man fighting off creatures of the darkness. They were common here and this man obviously was not prepared for these things. They stayed away from her because she was basically one of them. In a raspy, sexy voice she said, "So you need some help there, big man?" She chuckled lightly. She was leaning up against a tree, her arms crossed. |

I beat one of the things in the face back agents a tree to stop some of the attacks from behind when I hear the voice and look up to her so beautiful and fare. Though taking my eyes off of them was a bad idea one tackled me to the ground. “ yes if it isn’t to much trouble.” I say rolling it off of me and standing hitting it hard in the spine with a crack. wondering if this woman was here to help me or them in the end. not hearing her at all in her motions like in owl in flight. she was just there and such grace and beauty. It bothered me that I didn’t sense her at all but the help was needed. I was worried she might not be able to handle her self. Throwing my hands out and muttering having a light smash into two of the creatures a trickle of blood leaves the bodies hoping it might frighten them. Knowing it wasn’t a strong spell |

Jezabel sauntered up to one of the creatures and grabbed it by the fur. She tossed it back easily. Another one she jumped on to and bit into its neck. At least what she thought the approximation of where his neck would be. She drained it while keeping her eyes on the man. He seemed to do just fine, but there were too many there and they would have easily overwhelmed him. When they seemed to be under control and the rest of the creatures had fled, she sat down beside him. "Now why would you be out here, all alone. Are you searching for trouble. If you are, you've found it." She showed him her teeth in a large smile. "I am Jezabel. What are you called?" |

Stopping for a breath I look over and see the fangs only hearing of the vampires I had never seen one myself. I looked her over taking in her beauty and strength.” I am known as the wondering monk cael and I look for no trouble I am out on my pilgrimage.” I say to her wiping my wounds getting some blood off. “All I ask of you is not to drain me till I find my mother sprit voice of nature I off you a small amount of my blood.” holding his hand out writs and chest bleeding freely.” If you can help me treat my wounds that would be most appreciated.” |

Jezabel looked at his wounds with open thirst. Turning away, she ran off to gather a pile of sticks first. She was fast, faster than the normal eye could keep up with. Finally she had her sticks. She used her one spell, create spark. Sparks flew from her fingertips to the wooden pile and lit ablaze. It was a dangerous thing to do in these wounds, but she needed the light to act more...civil towards him. At first, the light blinded her and made her hiss. It hurt her for a few minutes until she was able to gain control. "I have fed tonight. I do not need the offering of your blood and you shall remember to be cautious in offering it again. To anyone or anything. You obviously have not a clue as to what I am. I am a monster, much like the ones I helped you escape this very night. You offer me blood, you off your life." She refused to look at his blood spilling forth from wounds made by the beasts of the woods. She ripped a little of her cloak and held it out to him. She was sure he would know what to do with it. Besides that, she did not get wounds. She healed quickly, that was another feat that she had. So she was not sure what she could do to help him. "You will have to heal yourself. I have no need for healing potions or even bandages. So take this cloth and wrap the worst of your wounds. You will have to figure the rest for yourself." |

Bowing slightly in respect taking the bit of cloak and wrapping my writ and the deep one on my chest. “ this is a new place for me I know nothing of. it I have been walking through these woods all day and have seen nothing that makes sense to me. the creatures in here have done nothing but tell me to leave. I know of your kind but you are the first I have seen of them. I am truly impressed by you. Your speed and grace not to mention beauty truly you could be the goddess of death.” I say with a smile hoping the complement was taken well. Leaning towards the fire drawing symbols into the dirt |

It had been a long time since Jez had been complimented. She had not been around many people lately either. Not to the point where they could see her face. But this Cael..he was intriguing. Not to mention good looking. After only seeing awful creatures with bad teeth, grimy hair, and even worse breath..it was a change. A good one. "You compliment what you do not understand. You are a brave soul...or a stupid one. Still I do enjoy compliments as much as the next woman. I may be a monster, but I am still a woman." She grinned at her joke. Ah, she still had the diplomacy to make conversation. She watched him drawing symbols and worked her way closer to him. "What are these? You are a monk. You must have learn a lot in your time. I know I have learned quite a bit in my 269 years. Well that was when I became a vampire. That is when I celebrate my truth birth. My original birth is lost to me. After I was bit, a lot was lost to me. The pain of the bite..it was truly terrifying. Not so many can live after it." She wondered why she was opening up to this man. But it felt nice to do so. |

I smile at the warmth she was now showing towards me ”I only speak the truth.” I say looking into her eyes and pausing I continue .” I am apologizing to the mother for spilling blood on her skin and for killing her children. though they were trying to kill me they like me have a right to live.” Her being so close and in the fire light I could see her well for the first time truly. a flawless beauty and her smell was intoxicating. not being around a woman for a long time it was nice. “ I have found my share of knowledge through my travels but with so many years I only wonder what one could learn. What is it like… the change I mean.” |

It wasn't the first time she'd thought about that night. Her master. "I lived with my master for about a hundred years. We..loved each other as much as two monsters could. We hated each other too. We both did things we regretted and there were times one of us would disappear for a long time. He moved far away a few times. But he always came back. And he never made another mate. There were times he took regular humans as mates, but for obvious reasons, that never worked. We had a long time together, but he was already depressed when he made me. He thought making me would change things. But eventually..he met the sunrise. That's the way our kind says he committed suicide." She hung her head momentarily and gave up a silent prayer that he found in true death would he could not find here on this earth. This monk had not asked this question of her, but she felt like telling him anyways. No, he had asked the question most often asked. The change. How was it? Did it hurt? Does it make you feel like a God? No. And she would tell him the truth. "You want to know about the change? It's lonely. Sure I was with my master for years. But I did not really know him. He did not really know me. Before the change, we were different people. We were human. We loved and lived and cherished the smallest things. We had favorite foods and drinks. Afterwards, all we lived for was blood. Your next question is easy to guess. Would I change what I am if I could? But I can not answer that. There's no point in it. I am what I am and there's nothing that will ever change it." |

“I am sorry I didn’t mean to bring up such painful things as a monk I am just here to learn what I can and I fell you are the only of your kind that would talk to me about such things.” I think back to those I have left myself back in the town I came from. the elf that I cared for so all those years ago. But not to dwell on the past to long I put my hand on hers. hoping it would not offend her further. “ I feel it would be a good idea to find some sort of shelter. do you have a place close by or should I start gathering for a small lean to for us. I have seen the way you move I know it could be many miles and you could get there before daybreak . I feel they might come back in more number and would not ask you to risk yourself agen for me.” Feeling to pain of his wounds and blood still leaking. |

"I normally just sleep beneath the dirt. In Balefire though, here in the Gloomwood forest, I can sleep in the open without fear of the sun. As much as I like darkness, I feel like I never sleep here. I think I need the sun to counteract the darkness so I can sleep. Much as it would be vice versa for you. But as of late, I have been sleeping all the time...except when I'm not feeding. And right now I'm just going after animals. I no longer want all of that on my conscience. So if you want for us to both gather wood for a shelter, I would be okay with that. Also there are certain herbs you must be aware of that will help you heal since you are a monk. I know it must be hard for you to see, so let me make you a torch." She grabbed a few long sticks together and ran to a tree. She pulled the moss off a tree and wrapped a large amount around the twigs. She flicked her wrist towards the twigs and they immediately set fire. "Here, it won't last long, but it should work. I'm going to get a rid of the fire while you are gone. Then I will collect large limbs for you. We do not want to attract any more of those creatures. I can only hold them off for so long. They are large and strong. Be careful." |

I take the torch and bow thanking her for the help and walks out towards the woods looking for large limbs and large leaves. Thinking should I trust this woman with my life for the night but the though was fleeting after all she had done for me and open up the thought left my mind as I find some large bits of wood and some herbs to help me heal. This woman is quite the creature lovely and strong graceful and dangerous I loved it all. She was unlike anything I had ever found in all of the wondering I have done. I think as I trip over a log in the woods.” Damn that hurt.” I say out loud seeing if he didn’t worsen his wounds. Finding the remaining bits of wood and leaves I could carry I head back towards the camp the torch light waver then out.” Well damn now im lost.” Not knowing at all where he is he sets down his load thinking of how to get her attention calling out might make them come but watering doesn’t sound any better. |

She tore down big limbs, closest to the dying embers of the fire she had just put out. The limbs were large enough to build a small den. She kept up this work until she thought she heard Cael say something in a grunt of pain. She went still and used her ability to hear far to listen closely. She did not hear anything further, so she went back to her task. When she was done, she waited for him to come back. She knew it would take him longer so she sat down next to the dying fire. She listened intently for sounds of Cael moving and gathering. She did not hear anything. She began to worry. She gave it a few more minutes and after all that time of silence, she finally decided to go look for him. She ran in the direction she last hear him, stopping every few moments to see if she could hear anything. Soon she could hear heavy breathing. It sounded very close to her and she smiled at her ability to track. That was when she was attacked. There had to be five of them. More of the large hairy beasts resembling bears except with sharper teeth and red eyes. She could see them well since she had night vision. They looked intent on killing her and more than a couple looked hurt as if they had been part of the pack that had attacked them before. The largest slapped her down and she went flying. She laid there for only a second before bouncing up again and taking out her dagger. She exposed her sharpened teeth and began hissing in warning. The animals did not seem to flinch. If she did not get help soon, she would be over whelmed. |
