Welcome to Imythess, the border between dreams and reality. We hope you enjoy your visit.

Imythess is a creative writing board where you narrate the story of a character in the medieval land of Imythess, on the planet Chaon. Each topic is an opportunity for your character to interact with the world and its peoples by cooperatively writing pieces of a story with other members, one post at a time. We call this role-playing, because you assume the identity of your character as if it were your own.

In order to play, you must register an account for each character you would like to write about, and begin their tale by filling out their basic profile information: Race (human, elf, demon, etc.), class (warrior, mage, etc.), physical appearance, and any other personal details you would like to describe. You are also encouraged to come up with some background history information for what your character's life has been like up to the point at which their story in Imythess begins.

There is no approval process or application required to join, so long as you follow the rules then you are free to write whatever character details you choose. Registration is simple, fast, and completely free.

Menzobarrenzen, a cess-pool for the forces of evil and chaos. A deadly place for any creature not a follower of the dark elves' wicked goddess, Lolth. Of course with the recent activity of a single matron mother, the place has worsened to the point of a paladin's attention, all sorts of evil creatures being brought into the Dark Lands to fulfill whatever evil wishes the matron mother held, most likely a play for power in their truly wicked and loosely termed "society". The house which held the normally surface-swelling evils of Imythess was clear amongst the drow houses, lights of yellow flames piercing the shadow veil and overpowering the purple lights set by the dark elves. This house of darkness and spider-worship would be Krieger Bach's target for his visit to Menzobarrenzen, for such a wicked place to exist with untold horrors lurking within could not be permitted any longer, not in his opinion, anyway.

The paladin's steps were heavy on the dark ground, and surely many drow had noticed him by now, but all of the houses that may be worried about the bright lights, and of the mercenaries lurking within Olis'Inth's home seemed to leave the paladin be, in hopes that he would remove their competition, no doubt. That was his plan, though it was not intended for their benefit. It was little more than his job to eliminate all evil across the lands, and liberate the opressed from monsters in any form. The slaves, he would do his best to free, and the forces of Olis'Inth, he would destroy.

Woe be to those in the way of the veteran paladin, and may their souls be cleansed by the arcing swing of the Lucius Arbiter when it caved their skulls inwards and into their own twisted and unfortunate minds.

Telo Acosto, a man who had become a part of the Silver Hounds not long ago, and a man who had somehow managed to be captured and forced into slavery. He had no clue what had been done to him, nor did he know how he had been captured, he simply knew that he had been fighting unseen enemies in the dark and then suddenly found himself awoken in an even darker dark. How annoying.

Regardless, Telo was currently acting his part of a slave, lifting heavy creates of equipment and heavier boxes of research, using his great physical power to his benefits, and even getting the opportunity to watch the horrors that were being done to slaves who had been unlucky enough to be built for such self destructive and heavy labour.

Meanwhile Telo planned, he contemplated his every alternative escape route, contemplating how he would fight his way out without his personal weapon nor his armour. He knew he wanted those back from these drow, he just didn't know where they kept them.

He'd have to find out.

Krieger could practically smell the despair within the air, a mixture of body odor and sweat brought on from the exhaustion of the slaves that the dark elves had either bought or captured one way or the other. Forced labor, those who didn't work were either beaten or dead. The paladin could swear he heard the thunderous footsteps of a giant, of course enslaved like every other smaller creature. Dark Elves were killers, and much more dangerous than they might have seemed. That seemed to be the case of most elves, but drow walked with chaotic minds, constantly planning to kill each other off in secretive ways... They were little more than beasts that knew how to handle blades, in Krieger's opinion.

He had already managed to kill three... Scouts, no doubt from the house he was planning to invade soon enough, but they were quickly dispatched. They could use all the agility they wanted to try and lash out at Krieger. But with the deception that his cloak gave him, as well as the force behind each of his swings, all it took was for the dark elves to become unlucky with their attacks, their blades slipping into the folds of his covering and they were dispatched with single blows, each. Their own evil nature working against them as the Lucius Arbiter robbed the very life from their dark hides.

The paladin looked out and towards the pit where the slaves were kept, forced to work. There would be no time just yet to save them, but that didn't mean that the paladin would go without freeing some of the drows' captives. Though he realized fully that for him there would be no true hope at stealth in a place where the priestesses could read minds and where crossbowmen always sat at the ready, he knew that there could be enough cover to keep the fighting close. He would take wounds this day, he knew it, but dark elves would die. Perhaps the slaves, freshly caught, would rebel at the sign of a rescue and attack their distracted masters. It was a hope that Krieger held as he marched his way towards the gate of the dark elves, his mighty maul gripped tightly in his hands, ready to strike out. At the first sign of a shadow moving from the corner of his eye, Krieger began to sprint, a few crossbows flying right above his head as he crouched down, gathering the force needed to leap high into the air, bringing the warhammer above his head and arcing it forwards with tremendous force, the metal ringing out in the beginning of what would surely be an astounding symphony of noise as it met with the gate, a wide bar doing more than simply bending, but instead breaking from the force, allowing Krieger enough space to move in. Already, there would be dark elves moving in on his posistion, as well as any mercenaries hired by this matron mother. Crossbowmen fired their shots, which the paladin worked to miss, taking sprints and stopping suddenly, simply catching grazes, and some bolts ricocheting off of the front of his True Wanderer's Helm. With his first cover from the marksmen in sight, he made a mad dash, a swordsman coming to meet with its blade risen, not a drow but instead a mercenary... It quickly fell as it tried to bring a shield to block the paladin's strike, the old wooden buckler splintering as it slammed into its skull, its killer hiding from the crossbowmen, clearly drow.

In Krieger's mad rush, he had almost forgotten... There was no way this was a high-ranking house in Drow society... At most, it probably had a dozen and a half actual dark elves to fight for it, three of which were dead, surely half a dozen or so working to keep watch over the slaves, at least four crossbowmen, not to mention guards within the complex itself. It left for mercenaries who would surely swarm, but at the same time they might not be as skilled as the actual drow.

The paladin allowed himself a light chuckle as he took another breath, hammer in hand as he awaited to see if another for were to attack him.

The sound of battle suddenly arose in the din of darkness. Telo's sharp ears heard the sound of metal against metal, the crash ringing out through the caverns. He knew, for he had been here long enough to learn a bit about Drow society, that this could simply be a move against this particular house by a lesser house. A move that would, of course, be done in the hope that they could defeat and gain the higher spot within the society ruled by matrons.

Or, it could be something else entirely, it could be someone attacking the compound in the hopes of acquiring the research that had been done, maybe even acquiring some of the experiments themselves. Who knew? He didn't, all he knew was that there was a huge commotion and that it would most likely be dealt with, leaving him to simply continue moving heavy equipment.

Soon he was called over to pick up a large, open topped, crate. Inside this crate was peculiar organ colored, well, organs. He really didn't know what to call the color, it was some sort of tanish brown he supposed. Regardless, he picked up said crate and carried it into a room where there were numerous men and women strapped to tables, all of them of varying races, none of them Drow.

Watching as one of the scientists walked over and grabbed one of the peculiar organs, he went on to study how the man proceeded to, through the usage of numerous tools and incisions and such, implant the organ into the woman on the table. Then he was called out of the room to continue his job as a slave. How boring.

Krieger's moment of breath was ended quickly as two gray-skinned dwarves, Duergar, managed to find him quickly, bringing their axes back and behind their heads, they swung quickly to try and lop right through him with their dark-dwarven forged battleaxes, but the paladin's weapon was more powerful than even those, the veteran quickly dropping the hammerhead of the Lucius Arbiter to the ground, its shaft catching the axes with a slight metal ringing. The force of which the dark dwarves had put behind their swings worked against them, their axes ringing back from the blow and Bach brought up the Arbiter, first for a couple of quick blows to put the heavily armored warriors off balance, allowing him the time to return the favor of the strike, bringing the maul in a horizontal arc to slam successfully into the heads of the dwarves with a single swipe. Neither one so much as twitched after they hit the ground, their helmets dented inwards, blood seeping from the open slots in it, leaving Krieger for one deep breath as he charged off and towards a door, taking a knee as a crossbow grazed the back of his thigh, though he did not allow that to stop him, bringing the Arbiter to slam through a door which led right into the complex, a good way to open it for the paladin.

Of course, things could not be so simple as a dim room with nothing in it. The room he entered wasn't lit with the normal purple flames that the dark elves so loved to use for their sensetive eyes, but instead a normal flame of yellow and orange, several torches flickering in their tempting dance, several mercenaries on the other side of the door all staring towards the paladin. Duergar, humans, orcs and even a lizard-man, complete with long scaly tail. For a moment, the situation seemed undesirable, especially as they drew their weapons, but Krieger would not allow that to deter him... Of course, the odds were too against him for the paladin to even entertain the idea of actually taking them all on, and instead he chose to make a tactical retreat, darting through the door he had entered from, quickly rounding the corner but stopping suddenly, a bolt stopping right into the ground near the tip of his boot as he brought the might warhammer around in an arcing movement, meeting with the face of the first thing to round the corner after him, a human whose face was quickly caved inwards, shifting into a bloody mess, the rest of the body flipping backwards, the back of the head being the first to meet with the ground, leaving an orc to quickly trip over the recently deceased body, and the lizardman and other human left wondering for a split second if the human had felt the hammerblow before death, the three other orcs and four duergar on the other hand continued their charge forward, moving to attack the paladin around the corner, but did not expect for him to charge with his warhammer held horizontally, using his force to knock them over and trample them as he made a straight line for the door he had already opened, a single duergar inside with a bottle in his hand watched as the paladin ran through, not wanting to get killed by the veteran. Clearly that dark dwarf was simply there for the wine and pay, not for any actual work.

Krieger would not waste time charging through the mostly empty halls of the building, most of the mercenaries having charged outside to meet the threat and earn their pay, others stayed within, but as a luck may have it they all seemed to miss the paladin, some even passing him by, thinking that the dark Silver Hounds cloak he wore was little more than another mercenary going the opposite way.

The mercenaries, after all, were not paid for their ability to think.

As he ran through the halls, Krieger would check for slaves or for drow, keeping his glass eyes open for anything important until a particular drow scientist would realize the threat, or perhaps just seeing a potential test subject, and slammed a small metal beaker holder into the face of the rushing paladin, using enough force to knock Krieger to his back onto the ground, the metal ringing off of his metal mask, though clearly leaving the paladin at a disadvantage, all due to the element of surprise.

Telo returned to the room in which experiments had been taking place, only to find one of the scientists attacking an intruder. An intruder that was armed. An intruder that, of all things, was wearing a distinct blue cloak that marked him as a member of the Silver Hounds. Salvation at last.

Without a second thought Telo spun and smashed his great fist into the face of the nearest mercenary. Tearing the large axe from the mans grasp, he spun and threw it, the half moon blade arcing in the flickering lights and embedding it's self in the scientists head, causing the drow to collapse to the side of the fellow who bore the Silver Hound cloak.

Next, Telo began to strike out against the rest of the mercenaries, tearing weapons from surprised goblins and dwarves alike, killing them where they stood. He wasn't killing them out of spite, no, he was killing them because it was necessary, because he needed to rescue the slaves and rescue the man who had come to put an end to all of this. And so he fought, and soon the entire room was clear of the living, barring those few strapped to the tables, the Silver Hound, and Telo himself.

Taking a deep breath Telo turned to the man, looking him up and down and raising an eyebrow before speaking.

"Who, are you?"

While Krieger was on his back, open for any attack which this dark elf might have planned for him, thoughts of demise wwere the furthest thing from his mind... At least, thoughts of his demise. He didn't feel fear, just anger that he was careless enough to allow some damnable drow attack him from an open doorway, he was too rushed to properly think in this situation, cleary. However, things seemed to almost immediately turn to his favor, while he might not normally want to test the reflexes of a drow, it seemed that the scientist was quickly distracted, and by distracted one could of course surmise any number of possibilities, this one led to an axe in the back of the white-maned dark-skinned chaos-worshipping fool's head. A smirk appeared beneath Krieger's helmet, but it only lasted for a moment as he lifted himself from the ground, quickly kicking the dead drow's corpse inside of the room and shutting the door as he watched slave turn on the mercenaries, clearly having a considerable amount of skill.

Bach lifted uo the Lucius Arbiter and quickly joined in with the slave. In that room, two duergar and a goblin fell to the mighty weapon of the paladin, their heads little more than bloody messes from the force of impact that came from the mighty weapon. The paladin allowed himself little more than a breath, eyeing the unknown ally for just a moment, but no longer, quickly setting his sights upon the people still alive and strapped to the tables, Krieger did not even pause as the man asked who he was, unstrapping the living.

"Krieger Bach, Third Templar of the Tenth Paladin Order of Chaon, Third Son of the Half-Tarhis Hebben Zezwak..." He paused for a moment after unstrapping the second person, reaching past his cloak and into his leather clothing, pulling out the Silver Hounds compass which he kept upon a light steel chain hung loosely around his neck, "Silver Hounds... Thank you for your help." Krieger wasn't going to bother saying that he could have killed that drow without the man's help, it didn't matter now that the scientist was so clearly dead and gone.

"You know how to fight... I'm guessing you got captured, then? Any idea where your weapons may be kept?" Krieger didn't ask who this man, for given the current circumstances small civilities were beyond him, he was focused on one thing and that was causing as much troubles for the worshippers of Lolth as he could, and secretly he prayed, while he began to search through the notes that the scientist had kept, that the house was so low in rank that it did not have any Priestesses to worry about.

He paused for just a moment in his searches as he eyed a familiar and obnoxious symbol, probably left there as grafitti by one of the mercenaries, and with a swift hit the emblem was gone. It belonged to a mercenary group run by a devil who believed himself a bringer of Chaon's utter destruction through causing neverending war. Pitiful.

Telo smiled, the man sure had a lot of titles, but, Telo himself had quite a few too. Not that he actually used any of them, it was too much of a hassle to use them all. Regardless, since the man had not asked him his name, nor had he any knowledge of who Telo himself was, Telo simply nodded and answered the mans questions.

"Yes, I was captured, in my sleep by the cowardly Drow. And yes, I do know where my weapons are kept, I just haven't gone for them because I wasn't about to risk my life on so foolish a gamble, follow me."

He punctuated this command with a smash of his right wrist upon the doorway, a wrist that had been encased in a shackle that now shattered. He proceeded to do this again, this time with his left wrist, but this time the shackle merely split in half at a seam.

How odd.

Picking it up Telo opted to take the shackle with him, a memento of his captivity.

~~

Rushing down the hallway, Telo lead the man who he would now label as Kreig. He smashed through anything that came up against him, and then he eventually made his way to the room where he knew his weapons and armour were being kept. Dashing in he swiftly dealt with the guards using a stolen sword, and then proceeded to discard said sword. After a quick search of the crates he found what he was looking for. His armour.

Reaching in he swiftly began to outfit himself, his boots being first, then his cuisses and greaves, then his breastplate and then his gauntlets. After that he withdrew the cloak of the Silver Hounds, his compass and the second cloak he had that was wrapped around a broken hilt from his first blade. After arranging all this stuff on his person, Telo walked over to the wall and retrieved his Zweihander, a blade that was, due to being built for Telo's height and being slightly longer than the standard, as long as Kreig was tall.

After having outfitted himself with all of this, and only after, would Telo turn to Kreig, chuckling as he did so.

"Telo Acosto, a man of many titles, few of which he uses, and as you can see, a Silver Hound."

He smiled at this last, and then began moving forwards at the sound of, what seemed to be, an approaching army.

"Time to go, I think"

Telo said, gesturing for Kreig to lead the way.

Searching through the files, Krieger finally found what he had been looking for, specific documents on something most sinister. These things, he took with him, for could not know if there were another scientist, or if there might be a differant sort of evil who had already copied these plans. He shoved the plans into a large pocket in the coat he wore beneath his cloak, making sure that there were none left. Almost astonishlingly, he had also taken the time to listen to what the man had said, captured during his sleep and smart enough to not risk getting himself killed. A plan which clearly worked out for him since Bach had distracted the man's captives long enough for the slave to make his escape.

Krieger did not get to watch the man smash his cuffs free, but it did not matter, yet he followed after him, advising the people freed from the tables to stay within the room and await their return, since there was a good chance they may not be able to fend off against all of the mercenaries on their own, let alone survive the bolts that would rain from the dark elven crossbowmen.

All mercenaries which stood in the way of the paladin and the ex-slave fell quickly, the man adopting a sword for a short time to cut through them, Krieger of course keeping to his long-time companion in battle, Lucius Arbiter. When they had reached the area where the man's items were supposedly kept, Krieger opted to keep watch for any oncoming patrols or guards that might know where they were through whatever explicable means. Luckily, none seemed to come, giving the man ample oppertunity to reacquire and re-equipt his things.

When finally the man spoke, the paladin turned to look him over, to see how well of a battling companion that he might make. The True Wanderer's Helm hid the bit of surprise that would have otherwise shown upon the paladin's face when he saw that the man was also apparently a member of the Silver Hounds, though for now it would not matter so much.

Telo Acosto, whose weapon was as mighty as Krieger's and claimed to have many titles. However, the small bit of pleasentries were cut short at the sound of an approaching force, quite large and no-doubt comprised solely of mercenaries. Krieger sighed and gave a moment to pause, looking back to his ally, "There seems to be little option if they already know where we are..." He spoke, quickly preparing his maul for combat and marching through the door fully prepared for combat, uttering the words without second thought, "So by the gods, let them come!" A true paladin through-and-through, if there were evil forces to battle and few options of escape, he preffered to face the enemy head-on, and surely with a being such as Telo Acosto to aid in battle, they could make short work of a band of pathetic mercenaries who were hired by a cowardly matron mother.

Telo was an expert in physical movement, he was fast, he was strong, and his reflexes were greater than most. In essence, he was a combatant born and raised, trained and honed, and proven too. He left the room at a dead charge, his large sword arcing across the corridor at such a speed that the first row of mercenaries was cleaved in half even before it realized what had happened.

And then he was off.

Every creature that came at him, he struck down. Every enemy that stepped forth, he cut. He cut anything that came near him. He cut all that he came across. He cleaved Drow in two, and chopped Duergar in pieces. Goblins he decapitated, and other such creatures he de-limbed. It didn't matter what stood in his way, he removed the obstacle. And when he came across the Golems that were released? He cut them down too, striking down anything in his way, striking down all that came for him, nothing could stop him.

And then he found it, the room he had been looking for. It was a room in which all the golems were stored, a room where the creatures awaited the call to life. Here he intended to free such creatures, most of them anyway. A lot of them he intended to destroy.

Opening up caskets and crates, unstrapped creatures from tables and removing various shrouds, Telo began to allow the golems to flee, choosing to destroy only a single one, a creature he knew would kill all.

Meanwhile he allowed Kreig to do as he wished, for there were no longer any mercenaries within the area Telo had cleared, they would have to be brought in from other areas, and in the meantime Telo could do as he wished, the same as Kreig.

Krieger stopped for a moment, a slight shudder to his advance when he heard the footsteps coming from behind him, Telo going in for his charge with a weapon more well-equipt for such a tight space as this hallway. Yet he would not allow for this man, this brother "Hound", to hold all of the glory from this day, following behind the massive man, Krieger brought the Lucius Arbiter to slay the foes which stood in his way, the hole heavy maul crushing them with unrelnting force. A weapon that proved itself time and time again with its chosen wielder, Krieger Bach. Those which the large being, Acosto, did not slay through, Krieger dispatched with a single devestating swing from his mighty warhammer. Duergar and Drow, Goblins or Orcs, even the human mercenaries which had found their way to Menzobarrenzen, Krieger pound their bones to dust beneath their very own flesh. He shattered and splintered and broke their bodies to bloody msses, hammering his way through with superior force.

It seemed to be that Silver Hounds were forces to be reckoned with. Even more-so when there were two of them. Throughout the halls that they traversed were left bloody messes, broken and beaten bodies and very few beings left alive. Krieger had no true idea where his brother-in-arms may be headed, but it did not matter. And when they finally arrived, the paladin took a moment to take in the sight of the room filled with golems and chimera alike. He took a moment to shake his head, yet quickly followed after Telo's lead, freeing the beasts to be unleashed upon the mercenaries and their bosses. For the vew chimera which actually attempted to strike out at Krieger, he gave them a hefty kick, not enough to seriously injure them but enough to let them know that he was not something they could so easily attack.

When they were finished, Krieger looked upon the creature which Telo had destroyed, taking a moment to look it over as he let the sounds of screaming mercenaries and tongues of all types shout orders and cries for help into the air. It seemed that by being a slave in this place, they allowed Telo Acosto to see far too much for their own good, the faulty mistake of a low-ranking house in Menzobarrenzen which was so clearly lacking in favor from Lolth to have the sight to see such a a terrible event to their forces coming so soon. Once more Krieger was smiling beneath his mask, something that was quickly gone as he felt something wrap around his neck before he was pulled down to the ground by a strong force, no doubt what he had feared as he worked to peel the whip from his neck, though it came free with ease, being brought down against his shoulder tow hip it, though he did not cry out in pain, instead rising quickly to his feet with the Lucius Arbiter in hand, his eyes setting upon the sight of a Priestess of Lolth, for surely no Matron Mother would be so foolish as to engage such threats, herself.

The Priestess shouted something at the two, which Krieger promptly ignored in favor of turning his attention to his ally, an obvious question passing from beneath the paladin's helmet, "Attack at the same time?"

It was her, the woman who had commanded his imprisonment, the woman who had sanctioned Telo's capture and enslavement. LiNeer 'A Aleanafin, a Priestess of Lolth, not a High Priestess, but the next best thing. Why she was there, he did not know, but he did know that it was time for retribution.

Lifting his blade Telo ignored her words, striking out with his blade in a downward arc, an arc that was not completed as the Priestess managed to lash out a strike and catch his wrist. He had been stupid to try what he had just tried, but it did not matter, for now Kreig had the opening he needed to strike the woman, and Telo had grip of her whip.

In essence, she could not defend herself, nor could she attack any longer, Telo had seen to it and all that was required was for Kreig to take the hint and get moving.

Krieger watched as Telo charged in, clearly overcome by anger, perhaps it was this particular priestess that had been a particular burden in terms of his enslavement, Krieger couldn't say for certain, but it was clear that Telo knew for certain, lashing out with much thought into the matter, clearly ill-experienced with dark elves Priestesses, though unfortunately his action caused Bach to react, as well, triggering something in the Paladin that convinced him it would be a good idea to move forward behind his ally, his maul at the ready and coming into a quick arc, as quick as a massive warhammer could move, anyway.

To an untrained eye, it might seem as if the dark elf was unprotected, but in his depths, Kriger knew quite differant, hoping that the magic of his maul would hold the force necesarry to destroy any defenses that she may be capable... Little did he remember, though, for it was not defenses that one must worry about when facing a Priestess, but of offenses that could be so readily applied to protect. Within a split second, perhaps a mentally cast spell, Krieger was on the ground in pain when the drow lifted her hand.

The veteran paladin quickly fell to one knee, the maul slamming into the floor instead of the priestess' body, illiciting a glare from her red eyes and a wicked smile upon her otherwise beautiful face as she would bring the same gesture to cause immense pain into the massive man.

"D'heen ol orn'la tlu natha qu'ellar xuil natha dalharil." Would come the words past Krieger's lips, causing the priestess to bring her heel to his shoulder, forcing him to grunt in pain, though he gave her no more than that.

"Yeunn aterruce, dos ph'naut shinder ulu telanth wun l'ilythiiri ooble'!" She would scream at him, clearly upset with whatever he had said, though in truth it was how he said it, in the language of the dark elves.

"Ele xuat dos fridj elgg dosst ilharess ilhar tir? Il zhah l'uss vel'uss lest ji mzil quaz killianen z'hin phor nindol k'lar. Zhah ol naut kyo'feir nindel il uriu nau elamshinae xuil Lolth?" Krieger would laugh at her, illiciting another kick and another grunt of pain. He was hoping to do one of two things, to either convince the priestess to free them, or to distract her with rage just long enough for Telo to get in a good shot.

One might ask, however, just why Krieger was able to speak the language of the drow. It was quite simple, it was something which fell under the category of the old saying, "know thy enemies." And to be able to speak in an enemy's tongue would be to intercept messages with ease and even communicate with spies within their midst. For the case of dark elves, Krieger had leaned it from a surface-dwelling settlement of the people whom he had saved from a priestess of the sorts. And his only request in return was to learn their language... Despite the pain he felt at the moment, he did not regret it.

Surprise, it was all that the priestess had time to register upon her face before she was swept away and smashed into the cave wall, her broken body falling to the ground after seemingly being suspended against the wall for a few moments. Telo took a second to realize what had happened, his conclusion coming from the fact that a silver golem now stood where the priestess had been.

Studying the golem Telo realized that it was made for battle. The silver armour was plated like scales, and the long claws were razor sharp. It even had a tail, one that had been used to strike out at the priestess before she had even realized that the creature was there to harm her, and as such he believed it to be lizard like in origin. However, the way the claws were built, and the way the body it's self was built, he decided that it wasn't reptilian, but rather feline.

Telo of course brought himself to his feet, having managed to survive the Drow priestess' attack thanks to both Kreiger and the Golem, and then wonder amongst wonders, the Golem came forwards to rub it's self up against him, something that made Telo cement his beliefs that it was feline in origin.

Turning to Kreiger, the large warrior smiled, chuckling as he did so and lightly rubbing the golems "head" as he spoke.

"Alright, well, I suppose now we can get going, I don't think we should stay much longer due to the fact that going up against the entire Drow race would be suicide, let's take what people we can get and then let's get out of here, alright?"

Telo intended to leave regardless of whether Kreiger did or not, but he didn't want to leave too many people behind.

It seemed that Krieger's distraction of the priestess had been worth the effort of recalling his beyond-fluent knowledge of the dark elven tongue. He watched with glee as the priestess was swept aside by the mighty swing of a tail, enough force behind the strike to knock her well unconcious, something which would not last long. It took Bach just a moment to figure out how such a creature was able to sneak upon a Priestess, given their ability to probe the depths of the minds they wished at please, and besides, their name was rather misleading for Drow Priestesses were trained in combat. The answer quickly struck him, though. Perhaps whatever had created the golem was the same thing that kept its mind silent from probing minds, even a bestial intent to save its rescuer would normally be heard by a telepath, after all.

The Paladin shrugged the thought away, forcing himself to his feet, powering himself through the pain which the drow had inflicted upon him. He would not allow her to live as the creature did, for in dark elven society there was no chance for survival unless one became a slave for the demented worshippers of Lolth.

He lifted his maul without second thought, passing the alchemical creature by without so much as a glance to the creature, and while Telo would be busy giving it attention, his new pet, clearly, Krieger would mercilessley destroy the head of the drow threat, a kill that would send a jolt of agony through the matron mother's very core, no doubt.

After the kill, the veteran would spend a moment looking at the bloody mess that was once the dark elf priestess' head, now little more than a pile of red-colored mush.

"The entirety of the drow race will not try to strike us unless we threaten them... We have just rid them of nuisence to their own power-plays, and as reward they'll allow us our lives. After all, they're watching us, now. All we'll have to worry about is the mercenaries that the matron mother of this house has bought, and they should be of little or no threat to our might." The paladin would say, quickly followed up by a sigh of relief as he brought the warhammer to rest heavily upon his shoulder, making his way down the hall and keeping his pace equal to that of his massive companion's.

It had been little over a decade since he had last made his way to the drow city, Menzobarrenzen, and in less than a day he was quickly remembering just why it was that he never offered himself for missions to this chaotic mess of a place. In that one mission he had taken, which laster him more than a year in this hellhole, he had learned all that he had wished to about the drow and their ways. And just how he managed to do such a thing without being assasinated? That part would be a secret of which the Tenth Paladin Order of Chaon would take to their very graves.
