You are also encouraged to come up with some background history information for what your character's life has been like up to the point at which their story in Imythess begins. There is no approval process or application required to join, so long as you follow the rules then you are free to write whatever character details you choose. It had not taken long for Diana to realize what was wrong with the Village of Kellen when one was a vampire trying to get a meal. The Village of Kellen was a seemingly peaceful known for their horses, but they were also often attacked and pillaged as they did not have the protection of some of the big cities of Imythess. However, over the years, those who lived here had learned to be cautious, and that did not help the Vampire get her meals. She could not convince one single stranger to let her in, or share a drink with her, or anything. Diana went through the night just trying again and again in vain. She was thirsty, just enough to be irritable but not enough to lose control of herself. She had been getting better about resisting her instincts as of late, so she could go on for a day without jumping a person in need. In her searching, however, she had lost track of time and now had to panic just a little. The morning sun was coming soon, she could feel it, but her wagon was parked quite far away from the village if only because her pets would make the villagers ever more suspicious of her. Now as the sun was coming she had to find good shelter, and the shadows of an alleyway simply would not do for the whole day. Deciding she just needed to try to get an invitation, she decided to go door to door and see if perhaps she could get someone to let her in. Perhaps she could threaten someone if she had to. Going to the first door she could, she knocked. |

Imythess was halfway down the stairs when she heard a knock on the door. It couldn't be, could it? Thinking about ignoring it for a moment, she walked to the door and opened it. On one side stood an older woman. On the other was a young girl, obviously still half asleep and wearing pajamas still. Before the young girl could even let the appearance of the woman sink in, she pointed angrily at her. "If this is about the carpet, I will not buy it! If you people come here again I'm going to get the guards to arrest you for harassment!" She yelled and prepared to slam the door shut in front of the woman that may or may not have anything to do with a carpet sales team. Somewhere, close by, down the street. A Carpet Salesman heard the yelling and turned around to return from whence he came as a small portal to the abyss opened up and swallowed his evil form into it. Never to be seen again. ...For now. |

As the door swung open she took in the young girl in her pajamas, looking down at her. Before she could get a word out the girl yelled something about not wanting to buy a carpet and tried to close the door. moving fast Diana whispered a spell to telekinetically keep the door open. "I'm not trying to sell you anything, I just need to come in. Can I have your permission?" Diana knew she sounded a little desperate, and that her request was odd, but the sun would be up soon and she needed in that house as quick as she could. Hopefully the girl was as sleepy as she looked and wouldn't think about it too much, or even more hopefully she was just the type of person who lets in a tall stranger on a whim. Perhaps that was hoping for a bit more then she would get. "Please?" she said, keeping her manners if only for that extra bit of buttering up her would-be host. |

Imythess blinked and rubbed one of her eyes. The sun was starting to come up, it would be soon the bustle of the village started. Some people were probably already up. The child yawned while thinking over the request. "That's kinda weird... but okay." She said turning around and started to walk back inside, shuffling her feet in her slippers lazily. "Come in, come in." She sang to herself as she tried to piece together other things that would make this a good song. She was more worried with breakfast, though. That was a fast approaching necessity for a ninja's daily life. The front door led into a room that was almost bare with a wooden floor. It was labeled as a dining room by the small table in the center of it with only two chairs opposite of each other. Against the left wall was furnace with holes in the top, one hole being covered by an unwashed pot. Next to that is a decent sized cupboard. At the far end of the room is a wooden staircase that goes up to the next floor. |

The girl turned around and invited her in, even after acknowledging that it was weird. Diana followed her with a smile and closed the door behind her, now safe from the sun and inside the home of who she was sure would make a good meal. Question was whether or not to reveal the mistakes of her prey now or enjoy the company for a moment. For now she felt as though she could let herself enjoy a bit of teasing and toying with her food. "What's your name?" asked Diana, keeping close to the girl, staring down at her. She wondered what she would taste like. "Mine's Diana. Thank you for letting me in, you're a life saver." Technically this girl was an unlife saver, but she wasn't going to inform her of that. "Live here alone?" It would not due if she drank the girl dry just to have someone else walk in and then inform the whole town of the Vampire in their midst. |

"Hm?" Imythess said and looked over her shoulder at the woman. Letting the question sink into her still waking brain. "Imythess. And if you say so. I do a lot of that, apparently." She answered and moved over to the table and pulled the chair out. Taking a seat in it, she almost collapsed on the table. During all of this, out from underneath the table moved a long and reptilian form. It wrapped around the leg of the chair and continued to climb until it's head was level with the girl's. It's tongue tasting the area as it scanned the room. The corn snake stared at Diana for a minute before getting bored with the unique scent of a Vampire. Imy leaned back in the chair and pet Cob's head as if he was a cat or dog. "No. I have Cob and Andy." She answered and looked back at the woman curiously. "Where do you live?" |

Diana had never met anyone named after all of Imythess before, and she flinched when she finally did meet one. What weird, warped parents named their daughter 'Imythess'? Probably extremely patriotic types or something. Of course, that would not be the only weird thing about this girl, and Diana would soon discover much more. Least Diana was used to meeting strange and colorful people, and hopefully this one wasn't some powerful fighting force unto herself that could easily escape the clutches of a Vampire like herself. The next interesting thing seemed to be a snake that slithered from seemingly out of nowhere and acted like a pet. "Oh, you have pets," said Diana, probably seeming a little odd for not being a little more freaked out about the reptile acting like a common house pet. "Where's the other?" she asked, looking around. She would not want to discover the other pet was a much bigger snake that could certainly make trouble for her. "I'm from Balefire, but I travel around a lot," she said honestly. |

Imythess nodded. "Though I do try to treat them as friends more than pets. And he's up there." She commented and answered as she pointed up at the ceiling. There were rafters build to support weight on the second floor better. A large Anaconda was slithering around them there, looking down and inspecting the guest. Andy hissed at the Undead before going back to what it was doing before. Imy didn't pay it much attention as she continued to stroke Cob's scales. Soon after he went back to his position on the floor and started to slither across it towards a hole in the corner of the room near the stove. The corn snake was almost as long as Imythess was tall as well. Noticing that the snake was gone, Imy gave her full attention to Diana. "Balefire. I've been around there, never inside the actual city." The ninja commented before scooting her chair out from under the table and thought about what she was going to eat. "Why did you need to come inside? I'm curious." She questioned while looking through the cupboards. |

Diana watched as the snakes began to lose interest in her and crawled into their hiding spots. Sizing them all up fairly, Diana decided she could do this without too much problem, and as her young target was looking around in the cupboard. "Balefire's beautiful, all the lovely lanterns and no sun to take away the beauty of the dark," she said, moving slyly behind the girl. The girl was a bit young for her usual tastes, but she could not be very picky about her meals at this time. At least the girl was maturing into womanhood, and that was just enough that she might enjoy this a little. She bent down and wrapped her arms tightly around the girl. "I burn up in the sun," she whispered, her voice vibrating against the girls neck and she opened her fangs wide and tried to lick where she intended to bite. |

The woman's arms wrapped around Imythess. Burn up in the sun. Her eyes narrowed. "Ah." She said in response. While her mouth was open, her fangs came out from their hidden membrane to the front of her mouth. Within a second she bit down on Diana's arm. Her excessively long serpent fangs injecting poison into the vampire's blood stream. |

Diana hissed in pain and her grip tightened as she was bitten, though her reaction was to bite down hard into the girl she held tightly. She did not yet realise the venom was being released into her system, and at this moment she almost thought she had run into another vampire. Sure, it would have been odd for her to not notice before, but some vampires were suppose to be different, and this girl had two sharp teeth digging into her, though she did not seem to be sucking out any blood. Of course, there were plenty of other ways to get fangs, and suddenly Diana wondered if she was the one who had been lured into some sort of trap. The snake pets might should have tipped her off, and perhaps this girl was some sort of serpentine monster in disguise and had meant to lure Diana into a false sense of security before eating her alive. Damn her thirst getting her in terrible situations yet again. |

During the quick sequence of events, Andy the Anaconda had taken notice that his master was in immediate danger. He started to lower himself down behind the infiltrator. Once behind her, he would start to quickly coil his body around parts of her that had enough space between the Vampire and the Ninja. Pulling at her and beginning to crush her frail Human body with his powerful muscles as soon as he could. Meanwhile back in the point of view of Imythess. She released Diana's arm and her fangs folded back into the roof of her mouth. Slowly starting to feel light headed from blood being pulled out of her. "You're going to die now. Have fun not burning on the way to get medicine." Imy said tauntingly before she passed out in the Vampire's arms. |

Diana found the blood kept her energetic, but hearing that she would soon die was distressing as the girl went limp in her arms. She also felt one of the snakes coil around her leg and begin to crush her. She let go of the girl and looked down to hiss, whispering out a spell and moving her arms around. When the chanting of the spell was over her body tightened and she continued to hiss in anger at the annoyances, her body elongating to and her clothes ripping off of her. Her body transformed, her limbs seemed to slowly disappear and her skin became hard and scaly. It did not take long to realize she had taken some inspiration from the snakes in the house and had transformed into an unnaturally large snake herself, specifically a black cobra big enough to weigh the as much as a horse and hissing at her competition, attempting to bite and consume the anaconda in a single motion. |

Andy retreated as the vampire changed shape. Moving back into the rafters, avoiding being eaten or bitten by the unnaturally large cobra, and watching cautiously from his newly elevated position. He couldn't do much in this state, yet his master remained unconscious on the floor. Neck bleeding from where the vampire's fangs had pierced. Of course the girl didn't stay down for long. Soon enough, Imy began to stand back up. As if shaking off some kind of deep slumber. Her body turned to face the monster snake inside the house. Her eyes were replaced with nothing but empty white and her body language had completely changed. "I'm going to have to ask you to leave, spawn of Sekhmet." She said as she moved, her own voice being overlapped with another voice. It could be associated with a male's voice, yet genderless. It sounded ancient. At the end of the sentence, Imy's hand had grabbed a curtain in front of the window. Sunlight was already slipping through. Yet now the threat of flooding the room with sunlight became obvious. |

The dark cobra that Diana had become moved swiftly away from the sunlight, her intsinctual fears as a vampire not diminished in her serpentine form. She stared at the girl who had arisen, knowing it was impossible for her to recover so quickly. "I do not listen to prey," came her own hiss of a voice, and from her eyes came unholy beams of energy that went straight to the girl, perhaps to melt her face off unless she got out of the way, but even then the eyes, and thus the beam would follow. Despite the shapeshift, her eyes seemed much the same, and it was obvious she had transformed more her shape and mass while keeping a lot of her basic being intact, leaving her eyes the same and keeping her as a vampire, even if now she was a Vampiric Cobra rather then a Vampiric Human. |
