| Welcome to Imythess, the border between dreams and reality. We hope you enjoy your visit. Imythess is a creative writing board where you narrate the story of a character in the medieval land of Imythess, on the planet Chaon. You are also encouraged to come up with some background history information for what your character's life has been like up to the point at which their story in Imythess begins. There is no approval process or application required to join, so long as you follow the rules then you are free to write whatever character details you choose. The fire in the tiefling's eyes did not calm. But once ingnited it always took a while for that deadly glare to die down. She was not a trusting sort, her years in the hells had taught her not to trust anyone. Those who trusted others ended up dead. She did not fully believe Seele's words. She knew he was always hiding something from her. Just as she was equally hiding things from him. If the two of them ever did fight, it would be interesting to see what tricks the elf had up his sleeve. She knew that in their current situation she would have the upper hand in a fight. While the elf required his magic, she did not. Even though the enchantments on her blades where currently extinguished, the still remained sharp. But now was not the right time to kill the elf. Dispite knowing he was mocking her, she swallowed some of her pride. Letting him think he was in control was necessary for her to remain in his organization. She relaxed her shoulders and placed her hands behind her back casually, away from her weapons. Although she stood there in a non-threatening posture, an experinced eye would not that she could draw her weapons with lightening speed. "Excuse my outburst," she said in a calm almost nice voice. There was no venom, not anger in her tone. Although she was still annoyed, she did not let it show in her voice at all. "I merely misunderstood what you where discussing." With that she once again went silent and let them resume their conversation. Although she listened more carefully now. |

Wethrin could tell he had come close to some taboo subject with the red haired woman and decided that it was best to wrap things up. He pulled out a bag opening the box in the middle and deposited the down payment and a few sheets of paper. “Well I think that is good enough to conclude our business today.” He closed the door on the box allow the door on Seele’s side to be open and take the items inside. “Anyways there is your down payment for the first deliveries and the papers should show the last location of my previous supplier. I do hope he dies a painful death, but any death is good enough I suppose. Until we meet again.” He bowed to Seele, then turning to Shalia. “And I will look forward to seeing you with my shipment. I do so look forward to establishing a long relationship with you both.” His eyes lingered for only a moment on Shalia as if attempting to analyze her already, before he finished bowing to her in turn. It was hard but he managed to keep his excitement of having bought a new rare slave down. It wouldn't do to spoil the game. Having covered any courtesies he felt necessary, he then exited out the door taking his time to work his way back out one of the many exits of the house. He was exceedingly excited about getting a new rare pet. He loved finding out what he could twist and shape out of rare blood. It was always a unique and exciting journey. Still he would go about this properly and get some of his informants working on ferreting out more details about his purchase. With Wethrin gone he left the others to their own devices whether they waited for his man at the temple or hunted down his old supplier or even something else entirely. |

Seele leaned back, relaxing marginally after Shalia had calmed down. It would definitely be detrimental to his business if the tiefling decided to attack one of his new clients in an uncontrollable rage. The slaver accepted the box from Wehrin, smiling unctuously as he took the payment. Although money was not his primary motivation for running the corporation, the elf had to admit that he enjoyed the wealth. "Very well. Thank you for your time." His golden eyes watched the drow as he departed the room, the grin staying in place until he left. As soon as the researcher was gone the expression faded, replaced by a fierce, calculating expression. He turned to stare at the tiefling, disapproval evident in his bearing. "I would prefer it if you did not threaten my clients, Shalia. Believe it or not, your paycheck is dependent on these dealings." He sighed and rose out of the chair, his cloak billowing around his thin frame as he walked towards the door. "Very well. Let's take care of business." The slaver led his two companions out of the room, flicking a gold coin to one of the guards in the building as they departed. It was always good to stay on the good side of the men who worked in such locations. A lowly brute could sell you out just as easily as a spy. Seele spoke as he walked, folding his hands behind him. "We have several things to take care of before tonight, apparently. I had not prepared to eliminate a competitor, but as it is in our best interests I believe we should take care of this first. For this task... I think I will take you, Shalia, if you have no more objections or outbursts." There was an amused note in his voice, taking the edge off of his harsh words. The tiefling made life interesting, if nothing else. Too bad she was an unforgivable danger to his organization. "Jabbuk, find this temple that Wethrin spoke of. You'll stick out less than us in Menzoberranzan, so you'll be free to move throughout the city. Get in touch with our contacts and arrange everything for our meeting tonight." Seele unclipped a small pouch of gemstones from his belt and tossed it to his lieutenant, giving the dark elf more than enough money to make all the necessary arrangements. "Get some men hidden in the streets surrounding the temple in case the meeting doesn't go well. Get our merchandise together, get the paperwork ready... You know the drill." The elf nodded in dismissal. Jabbuk split off down an alleyway, leaving Seele alone with Shalia. "I don't suppose you're willing to pretend to be a client to help us trap this supplier? My face is too well-known for such a deception." |

Seele was not a person to be taken lightly. The tiefling had seen many quake in fear just by falling under his gaze. But Shalia was use to dealing with creatures of power, and did not fear the elf much. She met his gaze with an almost bored calmness. She was one who had spent most her life with demons and devils, what was one elf compared to creatures like that? "I shall refrain from such actions in the future," was the only reply he got from her. Money did not matter that much to her, so his threat of her pay check did not phase her. True coin was useful at times, but she had all the material things she required. When he made his small joke, her eyes narrowed slightly. The tiefling was still getting use to any form of humor and did not get it right away. But once she got the feeling there was little malice in his voice, she eased up. She considered his plan for a moment before nodding. It was a sound idea and would work well. "Very well," she said. "I shall follow your lead. Anything specific actions you would like me to take? Or shall I just go off of what I have observed in my past dealings and what I have seen of you?" |

Seele crossed his arms, frowning slightly as he thought about the best way to approach the situation. Shalia might be an insubordinate and dangerous individual, but she was a relatively unknown face int he slavery business. Once you factored in her physical attractiveness it made her an excellent undercover agent. However, this was too important to leave entirely in the tiefling's hands. He had no idea how capable this dealer was, which meant there was a possibility Shalia would not be up to the task. The situation was further complicated by their location. Seele had very few contacts and safehouses in Menzoberranzen due to the difficulty of operating in the subterranean city clandestinely. Despite their ill reputation, very few drows were active participants in the slavery business due to cultural reasons. There were only so many properties that Jabbuk could purchase before people started to get suspicious, and Seele didn't want one of his top operatives to be compromised. The elf would usually investigate an opponent for weeks before attempting to assassinate them, but time was not in their favor. If he wanted to finish off his competition before the meeting tonight they would have to work fast, which meant there would be more room for mistakes. "Do you think you can pretend to be a bored noblewoman? We don't have time to get you a dress, but I can make an illusory one. I'll play the part of a half-wit servant." Seele punctuated the statement by rubbing a hand across his face, pinching his features as he did so. Magic flared with every movement as he modified his features, erasing his distinctive appearance. His skin grew to be wrinkled and tanned from a life spent outside, the brand on one cheek fading entirely. His eyes changed from gold to a more common shade of blue, the pupils returning to a typical circular shape. Running his hands through his hair darkened it from silvery to plain black that he quickly slicked back, and a light touch was all it took to add flesh to his cheeks. When he lowered his hands he looked like a complete stranger. The slaver spoke in a lower, rougher tone than normal, eliminating any trace of the slightly musical accent that usually accented his words. "Describe the dress you want and I can make it. I want you to reek of money. Speaking of which..." He reached into his sash, pulling out another bulging purse full of gemstones. "You're going to need to bribe some lackeys to get to see their boss. If he's been in the business for very long he'll have some sort of security precautions in place. I can take care of those." He tossed the bag to the tiefling, glancing down at his own attire. Although well-suited for his usual business, the elf knew that no self-respecting noblewoman would be seen with such a shabby servant. Now that they were outside of the nullifying effect of the meeting house he would have no difficulty making illusions. A snap was all it took to start the magic, sparkling lights shimmering around his body. When they faded he appeared to be dressed in a simple, but expensive, white shirt with black vest and pants. He grimaced and added a few quick modifications to the spell to make the illusion look more natural, linking the appearance of the fabric tot he actual clothes he was wearing. He waited for Shalia to instruct him on her own clothing before setting out for the den of his soon-to-be former competition.
