| Welcome to Imythess, the border between dreams and reality. We hope you enjoy your visit. Imythess is a creative writing board where you narrate the story of a character in the medieval land of Imythess, on the planet Chaon. Each topic is an opportunity for your character to interact with the world and its peoples by cooperatively writing pieces of a story with other members, one post at a time. We call this role-playing, because you assume the identity of your character as if it were your own. In order to play, you must register an account for each character you would like to write about, and begin their tale by filling out their basic profile information: Race (human, elf, demon, etc.), class (warrior, mage, etc.), physical appearance, and any other personal details you would like to describe. You are also encouraged to come up with some background history information for what your character's life has been like up to the point at which their story in Imythess begins. There is no approval process or application required to join, so long as you follow the rules then you are free to write whatever character details you choose. Registration is simple, fast, and completely free. Create a character now! If you're already a member, you can log into your account below: |

The blood drained from Nomad's face. She stopped and stared at Diana in horror. To think that this woman's only experience with the Enterprises was with Lumi's chained wolf, Zenjirou: an insane, demonic serial killer... no wonder the vampire had flinched at the mere mention of it. When Nomad spoke again, it was very low, almost a whisper. "That man is not an employee; he is a monster. I saw- I personally saw him, during a mission, he..." Images flashed behind her eyes. The backwards-house, the blood on the walls, hanging entrails, laughing. Her paled face became resolute as she pushed aside the thoughts and snapped her eyes back to Diana. "Here is what happened. The owner of Kirsikka Enterprises, Lumi Kirsikka, defeated Zenjirou in battle and forced him into her service in exchange for his life. This was to keep a close eye on him. It was the safest option without just killing him." The way she said those words made it fairly clear that Nomad thought the murderer should just die. "She made a deal with him. If he didn't kill any innocents, she would spare his life and allow him to kill her enemies. Staging murders and that sort of thing. The moment he breaks this deal, she will kill him." Nomad looked back into the open door of the wagon, thoughtful. "I've been trying to watch him. I want to be there when he slips up, so I can quickly and efficiently kill him from the shadows. It is difficult to do this, though, because of the jobs we receive. So if you have any evidence, anything whatsoever, please tell me." |

Diana got the sense that Nomad did not have any love for Zenjirou, as she made it sound like he was simply alive because her boss could make use of him as long as he was under control. However, she had certainly failed at keeping tabs on him. Diana tried to think if she had ever personally seen Zenjirou break his little rules. There was plenty she could insinuate him doing, but anything she really had proof of or had seen him do specifically? No. Most of the time she had been trying to kill him, or others were trying to kill him. Nothing that could be considered murder of the innocent. But there was a time when she first met him. "When I first met him he had recently destroyed a caravan of merchants. He then went back and slaughtered the armed guard that had come to investigate the crime. That count? I don't have much of physical proof. Just my word." Truth be told, she had joined in the slaughter of the innocent armed men, but she felt like she didn't need to bring it up. "He brags plenty of his status as a killer of the innocent, telling of how he paints walls with the blood of his victims," she said, and at this point was exaggerating only slightly. "I do believe he's also proudly told me that he'd kill anyone except a beautiful woman. I don't think I count anymore though." She giggled to herself, rather proud of having made him run with his tail between his leg. |

Nomad's normally blank or harmless-looking face darkened into a stare that looked almost inhuman. Her rage boiled the more she listened to Diana's evidence until it could barely be contained; the agent's hands shook. A strange black substance twisted beneath her olive skin for a split second, then disappeared -- although her anger had not. She turned and paced away from the vampire, running her fingers through her hair. Finally Nomad faced her new traveling partner again, her mouth pressed to a tight line, like she had finally decided what to do. "Thank you." The agent's voice was as soft as ever. "This is valuable information. I will make good use of it." She motioned to the wagon. "Where are we going next?" |
