| Welcome to Imythess, the border between dreams and reality. We hope you enjoy your visit. Imythess is a creative writing board where you narrate the story of a character in the medieval land of Imythess, on the planet Chaon. Each topic is an opportunity for your character to interact with the world and its peoples by cooperatively writing pieces of a story with other members, one post at a time. We call this role-playing, because you assume the identity of your character as if it were your own. In order to play, you must register an account for each character you would like to write about, and begin their tale by filling out their basic profile information: Race (human, elf, demon, etc.), class (warrior, mage, etc.), physical appearance, and any other personal details you would like to describe. You are also encouraged to come up with some background history information for what your character's life has been like up to the point at which their story in Imythess begins. There is no approval process or application required to join, so long as you follow the rules then you are free to write whatever character details you choose. Registration is simple, fast, and completely free. Create a character now! If you're already a member, you can log into your account below: |

Diana stopped dead as Emily pointed her weapons and gave her words of warning that she would be ripped apart if she ever touched Shan again. Diana looked shocked and horrified, stunned into silence as the zombie girl turned and went back to looking around at a leisurely pace. As far as she knew, Shan had been someone else that Emily had taken and used as a toy for her own ends. Of course, in his case it had been to free some friend from slavery or some tripe like that. But Emily acted as though Diana had hurt a friend, not just some throwaway bait she had once used. Either Emily took those toys she played with more seriously then she had at first thought, or Shan had told her a very incomplete version of the tale. If Diana had not had such a great fear thrust into her very soul at what would happen were she to even look at Shan the wrong way again she might be quite angry with him. As it was, from that moment on she would never cross Shan again until she was capable of defending herself against the power of Emily. When at last she snapped out of her fearful shock she followed Emily and found her breaking open a door. Despite desiring to keep as much distance as possible, Diana forced herself to move forward and found the room filled with confiscated treasures, including her own. Diana started taking everything she had been stripped of and putting it all to it's proper place, except a second dagger. "Yours," she said, tentatively handing it back to Emily after all this time. "And this coin, too." She added that as well, though made sure to put on a mystical collar that increased her elemental resistance just in case Emily did not forgive her for taking those items out in the first place. |

It wasn't the right room. Damnation. Evals looked out the door, while Diana ran inside, and down a turn on the pathway. There was another door that would most likely lead into an adjacent room. Pulling herself back into the room she saw another door that most likely led to this adjacent room. Before she could do anything, Diana gave her a dagger and a coin. "I see." She said and accepted the items. She pocketed the coin but twisted the dagger around in her hand. She wondered if Kreos was still hunting to get this back. "You're much more obedient when your lightheaded from blood loss." Evals joked as she went over to the other door. Instead of kicking it open, he tried the handle and it just opened. Opened into the room of three older gentlemen arguing about what was going on. She knocked on the opened door with her knuckles to get their attention. "Afternoon. I'd like to talk to you." The men stopped arguing and the closest one took out a sword. He was plated in armour like the guards. He seemed to be the head of the Paladin order. "Stay back, Abomination. I'll cut you down." He ordered, Evals just giggled. "Because that's worked so well before." She retorted. One of the men, who stood on the other side of the table and was covered in robes raised his hand. "Calm down, Florance. Maybe we can just talk everything out." He said in a panicked voice. If he wanted to talk things over, he probably wasn't a paladin. The third person remained quiet. |

Luckily for Diana, Emily seemed to be fine with her 'gifts' no longer being inside Diana's body. So it seemed she was safe, and watched as Emily walked to another door and introduced herself to the three men who were apparently in charge as they could not be bothered to help their own men contain the prisoners. It was so typical to see the men in charge were so weak that one of them was already bringing up the possibility to negotiate. Diana stood behind Emily and her tendrils wiggled around behind her just to show that they would have a lot of trouble moving past the door. She might be terrified of Emily, but she could at least use her hatred of these men to suppress it and try to look a little intimidating. "Sure, sure, we could talk everything out just fine," she said with a malicious smile. "I'd like to start off by asking exactly what it was you planned to do with the hordes of undead you gathered here?" Perhaps here at the top she might be able to get some answers before she took her time seeing how much pressure it would take to break their skulls by squeezing with her tendrils. |

Evals was about to speak before the vampire stole the words out of her mouth. Only made them sound a bit more devious than she would've done it. She thumbed over her shoulder at the bandit after she finished talking. "That." She said and attempted to walk in. The head of the Paladin order, Florance she believed his name was, stepped in her path with his weapon ready. "You will keep your distance, monsters." He ordered. The girl shrugged and leaned against the wall lazily. After that the old men got to answering their questions. "We are researching your kind for information about your existence and maybe a way to fix people. Surely no one would want to be rotting forever, would they?" That was the panicked man who probably wasn't as use to the Undead as the Paladins were. Evals turned her sight to the silent one, who continued to say nothing she then looked at the Paladin. "Don't you folk think purging us is the best way to solve the problem." She asked, he was surprised to be asked his own opinion. "Well, yes. We could benefit from this research as well and keeping you abominations away from the innocent populace by locking you up. If you're here we can easily dispatch of you when we're done. Looks like things didn't turn out very well." Was all he responded with. Evals thought for a moment, nodded and smiled. "That's good enough for me. Good enough excuse for me to continue." She said and corrected her posture so she was standing upright again. The Paladin as an almost kneejerk response turned his sword around and shoved it into the ground. A large yellow bubble formed around him and started to engulf the room. It swallowed the other men harmlessly. Evals automatically stepped away from it as it got closer. That would probably burn her flesh right off. Leaving the room completely, she walked back past Diana. "Not worth my time if they're going to do that." She commented, as if trying to come up with an excuse as why something was able to stop her from hurting someone. |

The answer they were given was sadly simple and understandable, despite all the time they put into trying to find it out. Ways to cure the undead while also researching ways to kill them, a joint effort of at least two different factions of those merely trying to cure the undead plague in their own ways. What a sad, short end to that mystery, and once they through up some sort of barrier it seemed that was all there would be to it. Emily seemed to be unphased, and simply closed the door and walked of, remarking they weren't worth her time. Diana shrugged and followed her, once more letting her paranoia tell her that the little girl would turn around and announce playtime at any moment. She did not wonder to herself why Emily had been so ready to leave them alive, or even unharmed, thinking only that she was off to do something more worthwhile, like getting out. Unless she had another plan. "So, where are we g-going now?" she asked, with only the slightest stutter of fear. |

Evals walked out of the storage room and looked over the railing to the battle below. "Why do you care? I'm assuming you have your own devices to tend to." The zombie questioned as she inspected a Paladin skewering what she assumed was a Vampire on the end of his sword. The Undead were losing, as expected. Should she help? Probably. Taking only a few moments on to think of how. Focusing on an open space on the ground level, Evals started to concentrate a spell in her head. After a few moments later, a large object started to materalise in the spot as she brought her pet into form. A huge Undead Drake now took residence in the formerly empty space. Almost immediately it started to attack everything around it. It's breath weapon reanimating corpses of the fallen. Evals had another trick up her sleeve ready if that one proved ineffective. It was doing already so far. |

It seemed Emily had her own things to do, and didn't really care if Diana stuck around anymore. Well, that was fine with her, but before leaving she could to see quite the sight as Emily summoned a great undead dragon who proceeded to bring it's own undead into the fight. It was rather impressive to see the dragon just summoned into such tight quarters, and it was obvious to Diana that she needed to leave before there was any chance of such a beast being turned on her. First things first, she needed to feed. Her eyes scanned the living she could possibly pick, and she found one young man who looked busy and a little secluded from his brothers in arms. Whispering her spell, she teleported right up behind him and grabbed him right there, unceremoniously bitten into. It was not her usual kill, no playing with or taunting, because once she had him all her hunger consumed her mind. Once she was done she just dropped him, and there would be no need to keep him in her memory. Even now she didn't recall what he looked like as she turned from him and started to run to where she thought must be the way out. On occasion she had found a paladin ready to stand in her way, but she was fully fed now and found it easy to just walk into them and slice their heads off. For a few she simply pushed them out of the way with draconic levels of force and the found their skulls fractured on the wall. |
