Welcome to Imythess, the border between dreams and reality. We hope you enjoy your visit.

Imythess is a creative writing board where you narrate the story of a character in the medieval land of Imythess, on the planet Chaon. Each topic is an opportunity for your character to interact with the world and its peoples by cooperatively writing pieces of a story with other members, one post at a time. We call this role-playing, because you assume the identity of your character as if it were your own.

In order to play, you must register an account for each character you would like to write about, and begin their tale by filling out their basic profile information: Race (human, elf, demon, etc.), class (warrior, mage, etc.), physical appearance, and any other personal details you would like to describe. You are also encouraged to come up with some background history information for what your character's life has been like up to the point at which their story in Imythess begins.

There is no approval process or application required to join, so long as you follow the rules then you are free to write whatever character details you choose. Registration is simple, fast, and completely free.

Those who watched Shalia as she fought always thought of one thing. That is appeared more like she were dancing rather than fighting. Each move was graceful, and wasted no energy. Currently she kept her speed equal to Vyse's, testing him. She wanted to see this man's power. His strength did not surpsise her, he had already mention he had a tattoo that granted him dragon strength. She herself had a similar marking on her back. A mighty red dragon with its wing stretching between her shoulder blades.

Usually one would think the use of two katanas would be unwiedly and akward. But she twirled them around her with ease. The speed at which the blade moved made a red and blue blur around her body.

This man knew how to use two weapons perhaps just as well as herself. But there was more to a fight than just being able to swing a few weapons around. She could tell he was trying to open up her defense, but she gave him no opening. She kept up her defense, while waiting for an opening to his.

She waited attack her side again. When he did she niblely side stepped and spun behind him. It was a this point she used her true speed, and become nothing but a blur as she came behind him. One flaming red katana swung in to try and draw the first blood.

Apart of her hoped that he would block it. She wanted a challange. Someone who she could actually have a real duel with and not pathetic bandits.

Vyse smirked when he saw that movement once again, he knew what he would do if he had that kind of speed, attack the back. He spun on his heels, using his draconic might to force a quick spin, sweeping a blade out to match hers, he grinned as sparks flew from his cutlass, the block probably sent an electric jolt through her, to most people it was a mild shock, usually enough to stun or surprise someone once, but no more, people did tend to avoid the blade like a plague once they saw the electricity would jump to their weapons to shock them. He resumed his assault, though this time instead of trying to pry open her defenses he went into a flurry or short rapid slashes and thrusts, mixing in feints to keep Shalia guessing what would come next.

He chuckled as they fought, "You're fast, but you have to move around me in a circle while I only have to spin on my heel, shorter distance, but less speed. Though I know in one department that I'm better... skill." He felt his arms loosen up as the blows go faster, his posture was more relaxed, the blades switching targets in mid-swing and arcing at her limbs and torso instead, he was a master at wielding two weapons, and he would show her how much of a difference in skill there was.

Shalia smirked a little as he blocked her blow. He was skilled. It was refreshing to find someone who could at least defend themselves against her. She figured she could easily overwhelm him if she used her magical abilities. But thats not what this duel was about.

He would quickly find that her skills with two weapons was equal to his. She had spent near 300 years training, it was no surprise that she had mastered this skill. But it was not just the use of two weapons that she was a master of, but also the use of a blade. Every single attack and block used the minimum amount of energy required, wasting nothing.

It had already be established that she was faster. That is what she could use to best him. As his movement speed increased, she easily matched him. Her body was relaxed and every movement seemed easy and natural for her.

Their blades danced with each other. Steel rang against steel. Dispite their skill, she had yet to land a blow on her. And she had yet to land on him. She honestly did not know which of them would be able to draw first blood. If either of them even were able to land the blow.

Vyse smirked as they fought, she danced around far to much for his liking, that kind of fighting used the lower body a lot, he kept his short step ins to follow her in a straight line, wasting as little energy as possible as they fought. Vyse laughed as they fought, "I judged you wrong! You're fast and skilled! Not to mention your strength is close to my own, but I've had training beyond that of my magical strength, though your speed will overtake me at this rate, I'll just have to double my amount of attacks." His extra set of arms flies out, grasping his other blades and drawing them, spinning the blades as he brought them into the fight, Shalia was fast, strong, and skilled, he would have to use sheer number of attacks to even out what he lacked in speed.

Vyse smirked, he could feel the adrenaline pumping as he fought, he had heard how people described him in a fight, a whirlwind of blades, but the woman was art in motion, her movements were fluid and graceful, the opposite of Vyse's straight forward attacks, constantly rushing instead of dancing. His smirked became a full smile as he kept up his slashes, this would be a fight to remember.
