Welcome to Imythess, the border between dreams and reality. We hope you enjoy your visit.

Imythess is a creative writing board where you narrate the story of a character in the medieval land of Imythess, on the planet Chaon. Each topic is an opportunity for your character to interact with the world and its peoples by cooperatively writing pieces of a story with other members, one post at a time. We call this role-playing, because you assume the identity of your character as if it were your own.

In order to play, you must register an account for each character you would like to write about, and begin their tale by filling out their basic profile information: Race (human, elf, demon, etc.), class (warrior, mage, etc.), physical appearance, and any other personal details you would like to describe. You are also encouraged to come up with some background history information for what your character's life has been like up to the point at which their story in Imythess begins.

There is no approval process or application required to join, so long as you follow the rules then you are free to write whatever character details you choose. Registration is simple, fast, and completely free.

Ahriman simply smiled and closed his eyes, leaning back comfortably in the magical cage that encompassed him with his arm draping over his knee. He absently wished that he kept a bottle of rum on his belt at times like this, something to occupy his hands or attention when going through the motions of buying time. Looking at his cage he absently thought that he probably wasn't going to be able to pull off his escape plan, not unless his opponent wanted him to. Somehow he doubted that to be the case, however. This thought made him chuckle a little to himself.

He turned his head slightly as the man started with his speech, one of his brows rising curiously. He wasn't often talked to as if he was a rat being offered some cheese to skitter off. He wasn't fond of it, but he wasn't exactly in a place to kick the man in the teeth. He simply sighed and accepted it for what it was, a show of mercy in a fight of honor that the man began to take far too seriously. They hadn't met in some time, and he couldn't be sure of what changes had came over the man. For now he would simply close his eyes and let the words slide off him like the ocean's waves.

He looked at Mora and simply cracked a small grin, shaking his head slowly, "She won't attack anyone, she's merely there to ensure that my crew aren't harmed during the transition. With me in this cage she won't move unless it's clear that more lives then just mine are at stake. Yeti are intelligent beasts, Noclan, and she knows that I wouldn't want to live if it meant the death of lads that I trained - you could even consider it raised - myself. Keep your rewards as well, my men and I will survive, as we always do. Take your goods and your reward as your prize for victory, Vyse Noclan. To the victor goes the spoils, no?"

He sighed deeply and thought of how such things truly went on in a world that put no stock in honor. The world of the pirate wasn't exactly one that rewarded such acts, those that slapped aside kindness and didn't take what they wanted when offered. But Ahriman Lordimar wasn't always a pirate, and he would cling to that part of his past life as hard as he could. Honor was the one thing that separated him and his crew from the bloodthirsty dogs that called themselves pirates, mutineers, or any other colorful names. It was a distinction that brought him hope.

He simply smiled a little wider and began to take his fingers against his knee, nodding his head towards the dock, "Be on your way, lad. I imagine I have some time for this magic to collapse, so I figure I have some time to nap, maybe contemplate my naval. Important stuff, honestly."

The grin he showed hid well the feeling of defeat that he had. It wasn't often that Ahriman Lordimar was bested in combat, but it was the sort of thing that he would ensure wasn't oft to be repeated in the future. Training, all of his crew would join him in it. He closed his eyes and waited, which was all he could do for now.

Vyse watched as the boxes were put on the dock, he easily picked up the stacks, sliding them onto the cart, he looked back to Ahriman and waved, he was going to leave and let him sit there for a while, he would only be in that cage for another five minutes or so. He quickly hitched Umbriel up to the cart, sitting down in the cart, he looked to Umbriel, who looked back and seemed to nod, turning ahead and pulling the wagon behind her as she started to run off, her massive strength easily pulling the cart behind her while Vyse made himself as comfortable as he could, he was tired, wounded, and hungry.

He sighed as they kept on moving along, it had been more then five minutes, Ahriman was probably already in his ship and finding new prey... maybe one day Ahriman would act like his old self and not the drunkard that he met today. Well that would be nice, but it would be a while until they met again, but he would keep an ear to the ground about any news for Ahriman, if he heard he was in Cascadia, they would have a lot to talk about, and maybe a few pints of ale to drink.
