| Welcome to Imythess, the border between dreams and reality. We hope you enjoy your visit. Imythess is a creative writing board where you narrate the story of a character in the medieval land of Imythess, on the planet Chaon. Each topic is an opportunity for your character to interact with the world and its peoples by cooperatively writing pieces of a story with other members, one post at a time. We call this role-playing, because you assume the identity of your character as if it were your own. In order to play, you must register an account for each character you would like to write about, and begin their tale by filling out their basic profile information: Race (human, elf, demon, etc.), class (warrior, mage, etc.), physical appearance, and any other personal details you would like to describe. You are also encouraged to come up with some background history information for what your character's life has been like up to the point at which their story in Imythess begins. There is no approval process or application required to join, so long as you follow the rules then you are free to write whatever character details you choose. Registration is simple, fast, and completely free. Create a character now! If you're already a member, you can log into your account below: |

Ezekial nodded reluctantly; the "morgue lady" was indeed "bonkers", but for some reason he took offense to that sentiment being voiced by an outsider. In any case, it didn't mean much, and there was work to do. He set aside those feelings and looked to the tent from which a single guard emerged, triumphant. He exclaimed that he knew where the "organization" was, in a warehouse in the Wharf District, an area that was closer to the Docks than to the Boardwalk proper. He nodded in response to the guard's "request" for further aid, and looked pointedly at the moguri. A moguri was a curious thing in this age, and certainly a rare sight. The last one that he had seen was not in a situation that would require violence, and as such, the old priest was curious as to how a moguri would fight, considering its diminutive form and ability to flit about the air in perhaps the same way as a dragonfly. "Then we should move to the warehouse before they get the idea to clear out. Lead the way, guardsmen." They were led along the boardwalk and into the Wharf District, passing several warehouses thronged with workers and moving cargo boxes and pallets. The guardsmen, three of them, and Ezekial ducked behind a pile of rotting crates, seeing a rundown old warehouse. Tilting his head back, the old priest could smell the usual scents, the sea, rotten wood, sweat, and something else hiding beneath the rest. The cloying scent of rotten earth and the fetid stench of death and decay, almost as if this place were a sepulchre rather than a warehouse. He relayed this information to the others in a low whisper, and a guardsman looked up to the window and saw a shadow move across the panes. He took up a small, leather wrapped metal tube and brought it to his eye. He adjusted the telescoping parts to focus the lenses within and saw a dark face looking around. He whispered to the others, "There's one up in the windows, so there should be others. I don't think he's spotted us yet, or he would have sounded the alarm." He passed the telescope around, pointing out the window to look at. |
